A bit disappointed
In regards to the course, it was good however for certain areas that were focused on such as abstract reasoning and situational judgement, Kaplan's version of the ukcat is much easier than the ukcat itself. In the ukcat the shapes were harder and more pixelated and the situational judgement mainly had questions that made students more inclined to choose very important or not important at all, however the question's answers were probably important and of minor importance (and I wish we practiced more questions that were about dentists). I wish on the course we did practice tests that were digital instead of using the book as to give us the atmosphere of doing the test.

how kaplan helped me
before doing the course I felt really lost in the UCAT preparation process and didn’t know how to improve, but the course made everything a lot more clear and helped me gain confidence and learn how to always make sure I finish in time

The 2 day course was average. It didn't give me an advantage however it was a good starting point. I had done no practice beforehand so I felt I was behind a lot compared to the other people in the class. The tutor was enthusiastic however what I learned from the classes I could have learned myself at home, and some of it was common knowledge. However with Kaplan you do get a LOT of resources and you can ask questions whenever you want. Overall for the price it was okay, probably more useful for unorganised people like me.

Although it was good to get an idea of what to expect, I personally think that the techniques they suggest will only work for some people not everyone. I also think that the resources for after the course are less valuable than those produced by Medify
