Very concise and useful course. Covering a lot in the 2 days.
Helpful online resource offered after the two days of teaching
I have found the same advice elsewhere on YouTube (Kharma medic) for free and summarised just as well if not better.

I took the 2-day UCAT prep course, and I was very disappointed with the experience.

The tutor was unenthusiastic, simply just reading the book word-for-word or instructing one of the students to do so. He would also be quite intimidating, standing in front of your desk when asking questions or staring at your paper as you were answering questions.

On top of this, the tutor also got multiple answers wrong. Myself and a few other people taking the course challenged his answers when he told us the wrong one, and he took this quite poorly. I noticed that we were picked on unfairly afterwards, seemingly attempting to trip us up, which felt quite frustrating. I was being asked questions to the extent that I was approached by other people doing the course during breaks, who mentioned that they noticed it and thought it was immature.

In general, the course seemed to suffer from a lack of preparation. The register was completely incorrect and we did not receive any information beforehand on whether we would be served water or lunch (we weren’t).

The sole reason that I have given this review two stars instead of one is that the book handed out to us is quite useful. As the course was just working through the book, I felt as though I was wasting my time and money sat there when I could have worked through the book at home. All the tips, answers and explanations are given in detail, as well as containing many questions to attempt.

To anyone thinking of a UCAT course, I would strongly urge you to not choose Kaplan.

Really helpful and the instructor went through the course in such good detail helping me to understand the test better and be able to implement the Kaplan method on practice questions. Kaplan also helped us by showing which different revision methods we should use to attain the best results

Very thorough course with a plethora of online and physical resources

It was a very enjoyable and informative experience. I there could could have been a little more in-depth practice though. It felt rushed at some points. However, overall I believe the experience really helped me in my UKCAT preparation.

The resources are really great and plentiful in numbers! I am hoping to do well in my upcoming UCAT exam!

The course was very beneficial as we were taught the exact Kaplan techniques that would get us the marks during the tests. I particularly found the time pressured situation helpful as it gave a realistic feeling when we were doing each sections. The class size was also perfect as we were able to listen to other student's ideas to help improve our method of finding the answer. The instructor was excellent as she explained all the solutions very well and was incredibly friendly !

The book with materials and guidance is helpful and I think it makes sense to read alone. Having an instructor seemed unnecessary as they gave no further information than the book did. However, it was an opportunity to go through the pages in one go as I doubt I myself would want to spend two days in a row sitting at my desk with this hefty material.
The session was interactive and time slipped by as we were constantly discussing things or going through the problems and we had several short breaks which was something to look forward to after each section was covered.

After taking the Kaplan course, I feel 100% more confident than I did before the course. It is an amazing way to practise skills, time management, question types and much more. It has made me very aware of what to expect when taking the exam. My teacher, Samriddhi Sain, was extremly interactive and her methods were entirely beneficial. Due to her experience and excellent teaching skills, I feel much better about my ability to pass the UCAT after just 2 days of the course. The 2 day course along with the resources provided are entirely worth the payment price and I would recommend Kaplan to everybody taking the UCAT!

The UKCAT course was outdated and very very expensive at £330, I've seen much fresher content elsewhere. Just buy medify and a book to get all you need to know and save the money. The use of Adobe to power the online course was very slow and cumbersome, and the online qbank that they provide was really buggy.
