I always find my interaction with Legal & General excellent whenever I need any support. Normally I obtain the information I need via my online portal, but I had to call them to discuss a particular matter on that day which they managed to sort out. Thank you very much!

My claim took a bit longer than expected to pay out, however this was due to the time taken to get in touch with the oncologist.

I took out a life insurance policy for my husband. I wanted to extend the policy. They wanted a doctors report which we sent to them. I then got a letter cancelling the policy after paying for it for ten years. I noticed the start date if the policy in their letter was wrong so I called them. They insisted the policy started in 2018. It did not. I clearly remember starting the policy sometime on 2015/2016. I gave them my former address and they said there was no policy there. I recall clearly starting this policy over the phone with a broker at my former address. They have not paid me what they owe me in full. Im extremely disappointed.

I have been paying for life insurance and critical illness cover for the last 15 years and now that I am critically ill, L&G are making the claims process as painful as possible, closing the claim early, asking for the same identification multiple times and slowing the process to a snails pace. Once someone learns they are really sick, dealing with L&G is like the finishing blow. The criteria in the critical illness policy would be so hard to meet, you would be already be dead in order to claim.

I understood all that I needed to register my pension.
