I had a great experience with Legal Templates! I liked their template options and the simplicity filling them out more than allot of other sites! I will definitely refer to my family and friends!

I found the software easy to understand and easy to use. It was not difficult to cancel. I will use it again and recommend it to family/friends.

The requested document was not complete for the state of California

Very frustrating to navigate but eventually got done what I needed to do. Then had to subscribe for the free trial and if I didn’t cancel I would be charged $40 a month.
So I saved what I needed to do and then had to figure out how to cancel.

The forms themselves and the programming used to create them are decent and useful, but it is not worth the monthly cost if you are a contract worker.

I used one of the templates provided and it worked out great. I needed to test one of their template documents and I can report to you that it was of great use! I have not subscribed to their services, and they made it simple to opt out, but when I need to, I know who I will choose... LEGALTEMPLATES.NET!

The letter generated based on information entered was simple, clear and concise. The only drawback is this is not a completely credit card free experience. The fact I must purchase a subscription to access my document is disappointing. I understand there was not a charge and I can cancel after my download is an option, the fact that I had to go through this process is frustrating.

The provided document was described as "free", with no indication a Credit Card would be required.
I was planning on joining after examining the document I created--a simple rental agreement. This was advertised as "First one is free!"
Free with a Credit Card and the associated info. Oh, and not just a one time fee. This is a subscription. They want you to keep on paying.
I do need other legal documents which will likely involved paid for advice. I do NOT NEED A SUBSCRIPTION for the handful of documents I may or may not need in the future.
Not here. Not now. Firms that mislead to start with can't be trusted later. Period.
I was told by Trustpilot on 5/19/26 that my review would be removed if I didn't address the comment by the subject company. I see no reason to do so. My comments reflect my opinion that have to subscribe and supplying my credit card information, even if I can cancel, was misleading and uncalled for in an offer of a Free Document which didn't not required any obvious follow-up. If it did, and I came back to the firm, a fee would be entirely appropriate.
Again, why is a PAID SUBSCRIPTION needed for a limit number of transactions?
I have read the response from Legal Templates and find no reason to revise my comments.
Therefore I've revised my star rating back to 1, from 3.
[edit my last update corrected a confusing typo. 5/21/26]

Great service. From the technology side, the fact that it's difficult to navigate through the full screen so it's easy to miss things.

This service was very easy to use, intuitive, and gave me the document I needed quickly.

Easy to use and the cost really is $1.00 for your first order. Then it was easy to cancel. I'll go back and gladly pay a reasonable amount.
