The best place for real sight and hearing care
I have been attending Leightons for years for my eye sight and now for my hearing. Nothing is to much bother. Everyone is friendly and everything is explained. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I had an outstanding experience at Leightons opticians. I was served by SAHRA. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with genuine warmth and professionalism. The eye examination was thorough, and everything was explained clearly at each step. I felt listened to and never rushed.
What really stood out was their attention to detail and care in helping me choose the right frames and lenses. My son has special needs and the care she took to help him really helped she didn’t rush him and explained everything thoroughly. She took the time to understand his needs and made sure I was completely happy with the final result. His vision has never felt better, and he wanted sunglasses but due to the price we decided to not go ahead with it. Instead sahra went ahead and ordered him sunglasses clip ons, he is so happy and has received so many compliments on his new glasses!
Highly recommend to anyone looking for expert care, honest advice, and a friendly atmosphere. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Huge shout out to your wonderful Albert at the Reading branch who has solved a perennial problem of mine namely glasses becoming steamy and slipping off my face. He is very knowledgeable and went to great lengths to find and order the appropriate frames which are a huge success and fit properly. I never notice my glasses anymore - what a win!

Leightons Reading are slow, inefficient, with no memory of their customers.
I went to Leightons for an eye test on April 17.
My prescription had changed, so I ordered some new lenses.
I phoned on Apr 30 for progress? There was none.
I went in on May 6 , and was told “no progress” They agreed to chase the lens manufacturers to find out.
I phoned on 15 May for progress. It took 15 mins of pushing to get a meaningful answer, which was Leightons woud establish the lens order.
I dropped off the frames on 20 May, as soon as I found the lens had arrived.
I chased on June 2 and 3, when the glasses were finally in Reading.
I picked up the glasses on June 6. It took 3 staff, 10 minutes to find , double check, and receive payment.
It took you 50 days to obtain my glasses.
I have been a customer for about 14 years. This is the worst service. Your branch was slow, and suffered from inefficient records, without any inter-staff communication.

We completely understand how frustrating it must have been to wait 50 days for your glasses, especially after being a loyal customer for 14 years. This is far from the high standard of service we aim to provide.
Your comments about poor internal communication and inefficiencies in tracking your order are very concerning, and we are actively investigating what went wrong. We will be speaking with the team to ensure better coordination, clearer record-keeping, and more proactive updates for our patients moving forward.

Albert was friendly and meticulous is selecting, fitting and measuring the 2 frames and lenses I needed. They needed to fulfil various criteria and he ensured all boxes were ticked.

Friendly & professional staff
Friendly & professional staff. My eye test was thorough and the results explained, also checked my hearing and emailed the screening results to me for further consideration. Albert then ordered my new prescription lenses and adjusted my spare pair of glasses so they fit perfectly. Back in a couple of weeks for my glasses with the new lenses. Being on the Leightons plan meant there was no more to pay for the eye test and a discount on the lenses an reglazing costs, excellent.

Exemplary service at Leightons
I popped into Leightons recently without an appointment. I was seen immediately. I took in 2 pairs of spectacles, both of which had damage to one of the arms.
Leightons repaired both pairs of spectacles within minutes. They refused to make a charge. In short, their service was exemplary.
I should add that I had not purchased the spectacles from Leightons.
