Craftsmanship in eyewear

In today's world, it is unusual to find a company that still exhibits the finest traditions of craftsmanship and service. L.G.R. is such a company. I saw L.G.R. frames first in Milan during our trip to Italy. I was taken with what I saw through the window, but the store was not yet open. Afterward in Venice I was happy to see another L.G.R. store – I did not realize there was more than one. I walked in and saw the same frames that I had seen in Milan, a Meknes frame. It was absolutely beautiful and fit my face perfectly. Since I was not sure if there would be any issues getting through Customs I did not buy them. Once I came home to America, I saw that I could order them online directly from the company, and I did (I had no dealer nearby). Everything was handled via the website and email, and it could not have been more pleasant and straightforward.

The frame arrived and was as stunning as what I saw In Italy. Made to the absolute highest qualities of craftsmanship and artistry. You can tell immediately these are not made on an assembly line like the vast majority of other frames. I did have one very small issue that was handled via email to my complete satisfaction.

For those who are looking for eyewear made to the best of today’s standards but still reflecting the best in old world artisanal craftsmanship, L.G.R. deserves my highest recommendation - and the after sale service is equally of the highest standard.

Customer service went above and beyond…

Customer service went above and beyond to solve an issue.

I purchased a pair of glasses while on vacation two years ago. Since then, they accumulated a few scratches that distracted my eyesight. LGR's customer service rep, Martina, shared that my model was no longer in production. She double-checked with their quality department and found a pair of lenses for my model.

On top of that, the cost of the replacements was surprisingly low given the luxury brand.

Some serious craftpeople and awesome customer care (: will buy again!

I ordered the Amboseli in al black. Loved everything about it and will buy one more for Christmas ((: Perfect and reactive customer care, everything was perfectly monitored. The items, extra merch and accessories, and the packaging were wonderful. I have a very small face, even professional struggle to adjust irl the glasses to my face… and yet their craftspeople managed to provide me with an item that fit perfectly right away, remain in place without crushing the skull nor being too loose, and at the same time offer a nice visual for my small face! That is quite impressive 😁 also the fixing I required (for one loose branch) was prompt and satisfying.

Honestly, I blame The Corinthian

Bought the Reunion Explorers because I'm a little bit obsessed with The Corinthian, and when they arrived (VERY quick shipping, I should mention!), I was absolutely giddy. First impression, of course, was that they were very beautifully and lovingly and /safely/ packed for shipment, which I so appreciated. Opening the box was like going on a little journey, at the end of which was this phenomenal, beautiful, perfect pair of sunglasses. I've never owned a single accessory that I love as much as these shades. Thank you, LGR, for letting me bring a little piece of The Corinthian home. They're my new favorite thing.

Flexible hinges?

I have three pairs of LGR and they are certainly a great brand. However, the last sunglasses that I bought (Asmara I) about four years ago came with no flexible hinges. I wrote the company several time asking if they were somehow faulty, but never received a response…

It is great looking sunglass

These sunglasses look fantastic and are incredibly elegant. The customer support is outstanding. They're the best sunglasses I've owned so far.

One minor drawback is that the handles are a bit stiff and difficult to open and close. However, this is a small issue that should improve over time.

LGR are great spectacles and amazing…

LGR are great spectacles and amazing service. The spectacles are well made and very comfortable. My only issue is that I was informed that I could become a VIP customer since I had purchased more than 700 Euro worth of products, although one was from a retailer, but when I provided the details it was informed that it should be from a store or online (not retailer) and thus denied the status. Otherwise it is a great purchase and thank you.
