Refunded....today.
They have refunded me 'instantly' the full amount of £79 once I copied Carolyn's review regarding 'personal data' They don't seem to like the legal jargon. Scroll down and find it ...very useful. So thank you Carolyn.......
Absolute con
Absolute con, called the bank who log as misrepresentation As they look like the dvla but the dvla work with them as a third party, dvla would not help me make a complaint to them about doing this

this company is a rip off
this company is a rip off, scamming people out of a free service. be careful when you go online there services direct you to the gov website, so you pay £93 for being diverted on a link, and they have the cheek to say they are providing a service,
Update: I got a full refund as I proved the site I went on by retrieving my history on my pc, was the gov website, I reported them to action fraud which I was advised to do by dvla, I believe they obtained my details by hacking into my pc, I quoted all this and was given a full refund without argument,

I have put this as 1 * but actually don’t even want to do this.
I was looking to renew my photo licence, and had used my computer to put in the web address exactly as it says on the gov.uk letter. Only to find a website which came up asking me things I shouldn’t be disclosing for this purpose. I quit the site and retuned it on my iPhone.
A website came up that was firstly locked padlock and resembled gov.uk so start to complete. Got to the end of the whole process with no knowledge that I was on anything other than gov.uk site. Asked for payment which I decided to do through PayPal. As the payment was going through is suddenly showed the price after the processing £93 and the name licence safe. My heart sank I knew I had been scammed!
Persevere...You can get all of your money back!
Following on from first review, in which I explained I had lost £113 applying for my sons provisional driving licence - in the same way as most other I wanted to share that I yesterday received a full refund from this company. I believe this is because I followed another reviewers advice (Natalie) and sent the following wording to LicenceSafe on email.......
Dear Benjamin,
Subject Access Request
Please supply the personal data you hold about me, which I am entitled to receive under data protection law, held in:
My person information and files and all emails between Jennifer (I always got Jennifer and myself (from date to date)
If you need any more information, please let me know as soon as possible.
I would like to receive the data in an email and printed copies posted to my home address.
It may be helpful for you to know that data protection law requires you to respond to a request for personal data within one calendar month.
If you do not normally deal with these requests, please pass this letter to your data protection officer or relevant staff member.
If you need advice on dealing with this request, the Information Commissioner’s Office can assist you. Its website is ico.org.uk, or it can be contacted on 0303 123 1113.
I believe I received such a quick refund as this company must be dealing unlawfully with data handling procedures. I also have received the following information having written to Trading Standards, and I think this may help quite a few people to........
You may be protected by the Consumer Protection From Unfair Trading Regulations, as there are certain commercial practices, which when used, can affect your freedom of choice or exploit a position of influence that LicenceSafe may have over you and pressure you to make a decision which you may not have otherwise made.
If you believe this applies, then this means you can ask the trader to cancel the contract within the first 90-days and get a full refund. If you’re outside of the 90-day period you could look to request damages to account for the loss you have suffered as a result. For example this could be the difference between the amount paid and the true ‘market value’ of the goods supplied.
In addition, you could also look to pursue the trader for an amount of damages that would directly reflect any reasonably foreseeable financial loss (including costs for alarm or distress) suffered as a direct consequence of the trader’s actions.
You may need to provide evidence, or a reasonable argument to show how the trader has misled you and to justify the amount you are seeking. We would recommend that you keep any evidence and it may be worth getting a second opinion and/or quotes from someone in that profession, if you struggle to prove this point.
In order to pursue this argument, you will need to be able to prove that you have been misled by the information that the trader gave you.
If you are concerned about how your own personal information is being stored or shared, or want to know more about protecting yourself then you may want to contact the Information Commissioners Office. You can find out more by visiting their website.
Your next steps:
We would suggest, if you haven’t done so already, to put your complaint in writing which can be seen as a more formal approach to resolve a dispute with LicenceSafe. There is some information on our website which you can refer to here if you were misled or pressured into buying something you didn’t want. If you complain by email, send it with a read receipt. This can tell you when the email was received and read. If you use webchat, it's a good idea to save a transcript of the conversation. If you complain by post, send the letter using a recorded delivery service which lets you track the letter, and prove it was sent and received.
There's also another way you can solve disagreements without going to court which is known as 'alternative dispute resolution' (or ‘ADR’) and you should ask the trader if they're willing to use one. Step by step guidance is available on our website.
What we will do
Thank you for taking the time to tell us about this issue. We will share this with trading standards to allow them to see how traders are operating their businesses and for their own enforcement purposes. Whilst trading standards are unlikely to be able to help resolve this issue on your behalf if they require further information they will be in touch.
If you have any more problems please call us on 0808 223 1133 or reply to this email, with your reference number.
I hope this helps...Carolyn.

This is a scam site I used it by accident I can only imagine they manipulate google search renewing an over 70 driving licence ended up paying £79 they don’t even follow there refund policy they keep making offers of part refund they also collect data dvla don’t ask for like a passport number and NI number they won’t delete data as requested put this now to my bank to sort out
SCAM SCAM SCAM
Like many on here, I have also been scammed by this unethical company within the past few days.
I have had two replies so far from Daniel and Jennifer, neither were helpful or provided any assistance. I'm now on my sixth email to them and I WILL continue to email them until this has been resolved.
Be careful of this appalling company. If you like your money in your account DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!
Just bombard these fools with emails.
I did exactly the same as Stuart did, bombard them with threatening emails, just mention trading standards, also to get solicitor involved which will cost them more fees etc, they firstly said £20 is maximum refund they're allowed to do,but i asked for 50, got that, and I went in for the kill again, asking if they'd recieved my solicitor letter, and asked for remaing £29, it was refunded later that day. This company should be held accountable for ripping people off and getting away with it.Theyre absolute scumbags.
Me too
Me too, I wouldn’t leave any stars for this cheating company who are hiding behind British law to run their company - fake all the way - still fake reviews from the US giving 5 stars, but none from the UK, and fake address, fake website as they’re not on Facebook; only things posted on Facebook are many BAD REVIEWS. Get real you cheating bas***ds and give people their money back!!
I would leave no stars if I could
I would leave no stars if I could
KEEP EMAILING YOU WILL GET A REFUND!!
KEEP EMAILING YOU WILL GET A REFUND!!!
After failing into this trap. I started emailing Jennifer, after 25 emails over 6 days of various offers of a refund up to £50 and stating 14 day cooling off period every time. I’ve received an email today saying the full £79 will be refunded within 3 days. Please don’t give up keep emailing, you’re entitled to your money back. Mention trading standards and citizens advise this seemed to help. Good luck!!
What a rip-off! Scammer alert!
What a rip-off! They charge £93 to provide a service that the DVLA do for £14. I wanted to renew an existing 10 year licence and thought I was submitting my details to the DVLA,I only learned of my mistake when I checked my bank account transactions. The fee was not mentioned anywhere on the application. Avoid these scammers!

Push for a full refund - You’re entitled to it!
I fell for this and managed to get a full refund. I kept emailing stating that I’d cancelled within the 14 cooling off period which online retailers are required by law to provide you with. Jennifer will say it doesn’t apply as the services have already been completed and will offer a partial refund. However their own terms and conditions refer to this as a service which continues for 12 months so the services are not complete.
I filled in a small claims court application online and sent a screenshot of the draft to them - notification of refund came through the next day and the refund was paid a day later.
I will report them to Trading Standards and Action Fraud. Interestingly they don’t display their company name on their website which is a criminal offence under English law. I believe the company is called Electronic Check Limited.
