SCAM FIGHT IT AND YOU WILL GET YOU…

SCAM FIGHT IT AND YOU WILL GET YOU MONEY BACK!!

I was caught out by this scam I was angry and felt a fool but I fought them and have received a full refund!

Keep emailing advising you do not want the policy, and are claiming refund under legal 14 day cooling of period.

They will tell you it does not apply, make you offers of 20, 30 & £40 - keep on refusing them and persevere you will get lots of stock responses just keep refusing them.

You have a right to to cancel and you will get your money back. I got a full refund yesterday and £79 is back in my bank. My replacement licence arrived today. It took me just over a week to get the refund!

Jenifer if that’s even her name will give you every possible excuse why she won’t refund but she does give up in the end!

This is a completely scum company when…

This is a completely scum company when they first try to send you a driving license renewal letter and you think is genuine driving agency letter and when you try to renew your driving license and go through website on letter fill the form and you expect £14 will be taken as the only feee mentioned in the letter but unfortunately they take £14 plus £79 there fees and they do not show you they will take that payment when you accept to pay you only realise from your bank statement when you look and by then it’s too late and they make 1000 excuses to not give you money back and make you tired with forward and backwards email specially they do not have telephone number until you gave up and leave the money for them or they will come up with £10 or £20 refund.
They are just unbelievable and clearly scum and I can not believe the trading standard or whoever responsible allowing this company to trade in Uk and do this to people.
Be aware of this SCUM people and
Company.

Absolutely avoid this Company

Avoid this company. They deserves minus stars for taking advantage of busy, tired and/or vulnerable people. They are not registered with Companies House.

Licence Safe charged my elderly Mother £79 to renew her over 70s licence, which is free on DVLA. When the http link on the official DVLA letter is typed into Google, the Licence Safe link, which is an Ad link sits right at the top of the Google list. It has the same strap line as the DVLA letter and as such, looks like it is the right link to renew a licence. It is purposefully misleading. My mother mistakenly clicked on this link as she thought it was the DVLA site, gave them all her personal details and was charged £79 for their 'Service'. I demanded a refund under the 14 day cooling off period and have currently been offered first 50% back then a refund of £71. I found this paragraph helpful in my email

- The minimum legal time for a cooling-off period that a seller must offer you is 14 days.
Online purchases are covered by the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, Section 10, which Licencesafe have not complied with.

- I have reported them to Action Fraud.

- I have rung 101 and reported them to the Fraud team with the Police.

My concern is the personal data they now hold on my Mother. Do not deal with this Company.

Absolute scammers

Absolute scammers. Charged me £79 for their 'service'. Like others I accessed top google search thinking I was on the DVLA site as it does not declare obviously that it is a third party site and looks similar to Gov site.

They refused to refund me at first stating that the service had already been provided.

I reminded them of their own T's and c's which states

"The duration of your Membership is for 12 months from the date of subscription and will run until either the main Member or Driving Licence exercises their right to cancel"

Therefore how can the service already have been provided?

And also:

"Once your application to become a Member is accepted by us, it will result in a legally binding contract once you receive our confirmation letter and welcome pack via email."

I did not receive any of this so they are in breach of their own t's and c's.

I then received a full refund.

I requested that they destroy my data and put in writing that they have not and will not forward my details on to third parties (it says they do this on their site!!). They did not respond to this so no doubt my personal details have been forwarded on to anyone who paid for them.

At a time when people are really struggling and just trying to get by it is disgusting that people are cashing in by deception.

This company is a SCAM!!!!

This company doesn't even deserve one star, I have just realised they have taken £93.00 out of my bank account. I will be taking this matter further and have already taken it up with my bank if I do not get a refund they will raise a dispute. I will also be in touch with the media in every form I can if my money is not refunded. I will not stop! I'm angry and disgusted.....

THEY SAY THEYRE NOT SCAMMERS I DISAGREE

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE....I have been trying to get refunded. This is the reply to my 5th email...I’ve not received anything and I didn’t agree to subscribe anything.

Dear Mandie,
I am sorry, but I am afraid that the 14 cooling period does not apply here.
Your Driving Licence Application is processed through our cares, almost immediately or in the shortest possible time. Therefore, our company already provided the online service you have subscribed to. Indeed, you have received your application's confirmation containing your application reference number. Therefore, we regrettably can't offer you a full refund.
Please let us know as soon as possible if you accept our last refund offer and we will proceed with it immediately,

Yours sincerely,
Jennifer

DONT BELIEVE ANY GOOD REVIEWS, how can these people actually have genuine 5 stars!! YOU DONT GET A REFUND AND THERES NO PHONE NUMBER TO RING, they also don’t answer emails querying anything.

I Can’t believe I’ve been scammed. I feel such an idiot. I’m 54 and ive always been careful. These people where on the GOVUK website when I typed in change address on driving licence on the GOVUK site. I didn't realise it wasn’t DVLA. At the end it asked for card details but said £0 to pay so I presumed it was just a security thing then £79 went out of my account twice, 1 for my husband and 1 for myself. Without working due to Covid this has left us very short £158 for something that’s free through DVLA why would anyone knowingly pay £79?! I didn’t know this was a third party until I was emailed, by then it was too late as they already took money. I have contacted my bank and am disputing. Also reported to action fraud police I think it is a scam. It’s dishonest, it’s heartless and I don’t know how they sleep at night when they rip people off for a living .

Dodgy company posing as DVLA

Dodgy company posing as DVLA. This is how I got (all) my money back:

1.Challenge them by email and evoke your right to a 14 day cooling off period. Google Citizens Advice 14 day cooling off period to know your rights. I cut and paste the web address and the relevant text from the website into my email:

2.Threaten legal action via bank for fraudulent transaction, watch dog e.g. Action Fraud, and the police

3.Do not accept a refund below the amount you paid. I accidently paid them £99, they first offered me £60, then £71 in return. They are hoping you accept the lower amount so they can get something/anything from you. Demand the full amount and don't accept anything less.

4. IMPORTANT: Report to your bank and cancel your card ASAP. They have your details and your 3-digit security number. Avoid any further fraudulent activity or come-backs once you have got your money back.

5.Report to Action Fraud! These people should not be aloud to operate, why they have not been taken down by DVLA, Google and GOV.UK is a disgrace. Looking at the posts on this site a lot of people like us are being scammed by these guys, let's take them out of business for good!

Hope this helps. Otherwise their website says their offices are based at 20-22, Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU, not sure if this is correct, but just saying...

Like everyone else I thought I wa on…

Like everyone else I thought I was on the DVLA site to renew my driving licence took £93 from my bank account. Didn’t even bother arguing with this immoral company. I went straight to my bank and got a charge back which was issued the same day, they can argue the point with their bank!

It has taken 10 days of relentless…

It has taken 10 days of relentless emails to get my money refunded. Do not take no for an answer. You will get your money back but you’ll have to fight for it. Don’t give up and just keep quoting their own terms and conditions to refund you if you write to them to terminate the contract within 24 hours. Also quote their legal obligation to adhere to a cooling off period.
If they continue their nonsense of final offers of £20, £30, £40 ask them to put in writing that they are refusing to abide by these legal obligations. Don’t bother with lengthy emails, they don’t read them, none of their replies correlate to your emails anyway, it’s just a conveyor belt of standard template responses. Good luck

Thank you to all those who advised how to get their refund. I too thought I was with the DVLA website for renewing at 70. With advice from previous reviews I have received my money back minus 10%. Keep going is all I can say. Follow the advice from previous reviews and hold firm.
