THINK TWICE ABOUT USING THE COUPONS ON YOUR LIDL APP - THEY ARE MISLEADING

I have the Lidl Plus App. This week I received coupons for 50% off certain items. I am in my 80s and on limited income, so I was going to treat myself to some luxury Belgian chocolate biscuits and some Favorina dark chocolate hearts, for Christmas. After I'd gone through the check-out, I checked my receipt. 4 of the items had gone through at full price. A manager was sent for to assist me with my problem. I was with him 15 minutes trying to sort it all out. He checked and, indeed, the items should have been charged at half price. He said he was unable to give me a refund of the 50% overcharge and could only give me back what I'd been charged. What sort of company does not authorise their managers to give refunds? Neither was I able to purchase the items again because the coupons had been removed from my App. When I got home, I got onto Lidl's website/customer care. I spent a long time completing the form they provide for you to fill in if you have a problem. After pressing "send", a message came up saying "internal error, try again later". I have tried for almost 24 hours, but the same message comes up. I tried going through their ChatBot, but that was a useless exercise.
It seems to me that Lidl are misleading their customers with the coupons they offer. Also, they DO NOT seem to be much bothered about their customer care and they put numerous obstacles in the way of getting any satisfactory answers from a human being.
PLEASE THINK TWICE ABOUT BEING TEMPTED INTO THEIR STORES TO USE YOUR COUPONS AND, IF YOU DO, CHECK YOUR BILL AS IT GOES THROUGH THE TILL (NOT EASY)!

Refused to open a till and quoted that it is now lidl policy that customers use self checkout even with a full trolley.

Lidl, the Ryanair of supermarkets. Will never shop there again. At the Basingstoke - worting road store this evening, I had a full trolley and the checkout assistant told me i had to use the self check out. He refused to open up the till quoting it was lidl policy that i use the self checkout, he then went back to shelf stacking. If I hadn't needed the items I would have walked out and left them with a full trolley to deal with. It took me an age to scan all the items and Surprise surprise my shopping did not fit on the self checkout area. Until today I have never had a bad word to say about Lidl, that has now changed. I will shop elsewhere from now on, as self scanning a trolley full of food is impractical.

Terrible customer service

Staff look very miserable , not one greeted me , smiled or had any interaction, no thankyou when I moved out the way because the staff member was pulling a pallet along the aisle .No greeting at till. No eye contact just a yawn. ‘Have a nice day’ on leaving with no eye contact and very quiet . She really couldn’t be bothered.

Appalling customer service at Lyons…

Appalling customer service at Lyons Farm Worthing. Be wary if you have a bad back. I had the cart pulled from my hand. The manager refused to look after my shopping as I npw had to leave some and come back.
He accused me of been rude to staff.
At age 63 with health issues, I expect to wheel my shopping to the car. He took glee in refusing to watch my sbopping which I had to take in stages to the car. Checkout at this new store is unlike a normal supemarket. It is a srict barrier system through self checkout.
Appalling experience. I am still seathing. Lyons Farm Worthing between 7pm and 8pm. This manager allows young staff to play tug of war on a cart, with a 63 year old, with health issues.
This manager should be ashaamed.
There is no customer service and the customer is 'definetly not right. Lidl is. No compromise. Be warned, esp if you have issues carrying heavy shopping

Getting really fed up with Lidl in Totton

Getting really fed up with Lidl in Totton. Last week five of the pack of Cocktail Vine tomatos were rotton in varying degrees. This week half of the pack of avocados is soft. We stopped buying coliflower as they were so bad, but they seem to have improved recently.
It's just not worth the petrol cost of going back.
Looks like Aldi have gained a customer.

Getting better staffs

Getting better staffs, a Lidl employee was being extremely rude to me and my sister today since I’m a minor and she’s not, she wanted to get a 0.00% citrus drink and this annoying guy( blonde hair, about 5’8-5’9, about 60kg) told us we couldn’t get it without an ID and my sister offered to show her ID but he was like ‘I also need an ID’ we argued that she’s getting it for herself and it obviously says 0.00% alcohol so what?? This guy actually just took the drink and walked away, murmuring something like ‘that’s how it works’ like sorry?? You’re meant to explain properly why it’s like that and also be calm about it not just yanking the drink away from the self service counter and walking out, I’m honestly so pissed and annoyed. My Lidl is the one at Forfar, Scotland.

Yet again long wait at the till to pay

Everything good until you get to the till. Then you have to wait a long time to be served/ pay. It takes at least 4 times longer than any other shop to make payment.

If you so worried to save money on additional staff, then put in a self check out!

Turned up at Lidl in Chichester again

Turned up at Lidl in Chichester again. Wasn't sure if I was at the bsm driving instructor place it had so many driving instructors in the car park, together with all the other independent driving instructors. Clearly Lidl don't seem to care.

I witnessed a staff member named Abbie in the Banbridge store Northern Ireland point out to a customer in front of me that her bottle of bleach she was purchasing was only half-full yet there was no leak. This is what I call customer service with a 5 star rating. This young lady was so helpful to ensure the customer had a full bottle of bleach.

Lidl quality

Last week tried to buy some celery on special offer. There was a worm burrowing into it. Checked a few others and most were heavily soiled. Lidl seem to do special offers when they get bad batches of certain items or when nearly out of date. Not a very nice way to compete in market but who's there to regulate or even note these reviews. We got useless government, failing democracy and lying party political system.

Northern Ireland stores. No stock as advertised.

Northern Ireland store/s:

Although I do like the produce and the DIY items Lidl regularly get in, as well as their 3 year guarantee on Parkside items, it's extremely disappointing and frustrating when they advertise items in their weekly magazine/leaflet but when you call to get an item, they don't even have it in store.

It's not that they've sold out of it, it's just that they didn't get the item/s in, even though advertised in the leaflet and the large poster outside the store.

I then called to another (bigger) Lidl store on the Shore Road, Belfast, and they didn't get them in either. (Wall brackets for handing items in the shed etc).

This happens quite regularly, which also frequently includes many items on their online leaflets showing items as `Cancelled`.

The same happened for the large 8V lithium battery not too long ago, which was clearly advertised in the leaflet for £29.99, yet when I called on the very morning at 08:30am, they did not have any, and the employee said `They were not delivered to the store`. Or maybe it was just a printing error in the leaflet at the wrong price. Still false advertising though.

Poor logistics.

Disgusting behaviour by higher…

Disgusting behaviour by higher management and especially the area manager. No empathy or care for people who have clinical p.t.s.d.
When trying to complain to lidl themselves to practice the values they so call preach, can you get hold of anything that isn't automated?? Nope.
Disgusting company, Disgusting staff. Do not shop here people your contributing to everyday people being abused.

Gate lane Blackpool.

Gate lane Blackpool.
I go to this Lidl because they have a toilet to use if necessary, every shop should have but it's always out of order, new building and always out of order toilet, or someone doesn't want to clean so it's easier to write that it's out of order. I have IBS but others have small children or other situations and that's why I'm slowly moving to Asda, there's never a problem there.
