Redeeming the voucher is unnecessarily difficult. The website isn't easy to navigate and I needed to enter a pin number for the Argos website, as well as the Lifestyle Gift Card website. To make matters worse, I ended up returning a couple of items to Argos (one of which was faulty). I have been given a credit and now need to work out how to retrieve it. I was gifted the voucher and had been looking forward to spending it, but I have found the process of redeeming the card unnecessarily stressful and would not recommend it.

Was gifted a lovely voucher from my work friends before going on Mat leave… the only issue I had was there wasn’t many shops on there that I would shop at so had to settle for a basic voucher unfortunately.. changing the voucher was very easy though :)

Given £60 of these vouchers as part of a retirement present from my staff - a lot going on at that time and were put in a box with many other voucher gifts - eventually months / a year or more - sorting out my retirement stuff - tried to redeem them.
NO CANNOT - out of time!!!
18 months limit for money this company received- then Hey Presto GONE! - UP YOURS RECIPIENT ( not a complaining situation as it was gifted!!!)
This Company probably makes more from this ‘redeeming conundrum’ than bona fide sales of vouchers!
Anyway - it was not purchased but a gift! - I rest my case
Give Cash - no expiry date!!!!!

Paid for 3 lifestyle gift cards using cash in my local Sainsbury’s supermarket, nothing fraudulent about that, i then had to wait for 24 hours after activating the cards for fraud checks to be completed, understandable, but i paid in cash, not a dodgy credit card.. once my money had eventually been debited into my account i redeemed the value entirely on one singular advertised retailer using a denomination that was listed in the available redeemable options. I was then emailed my order confirmation with this message attached..
‘Thank you for swapping your life:style Gift Card or Voucher. Your new Retailer Gift Card or eGift Card is on its way separately. If you have swapped for a Retailer eGift Card, please allow 15 minutes for it to arrive in your email inbox. If it has not arrived after this time, please check your spam or junk folder.’
It never arrived in my inbox or junk mail. After signing back into my account which involved jumping through verification hoops which is also an absolute hassle.. my e-gift card displayed the message..
‘This retailer eGift Card is on hold for security checks.’
That’s all the information i received, no timescale, no explanation as to why. My grievance is that i will have been waiting 6 days, minimum, since activating the gift card to still not have access to my own money, it’s disgraceful. Why successfully complete fraud checks, give the customer an option for a redeemable value to exchange, then put the transaction on hold because the value selected triggers security checks?!
I photographed my gift cards alongside the receipts and gift card vouchers to prove validation and proof of purchase and emailed customer support. All i received was an automated response thanking me for contacting them. After 3 days of hearing nothing, i used their online chatbot to raise the issue again for some sort of immediate resolution, the chatbot kept ending the conversation and emailing me the same generic response i had received via email initially. Talk about going round in circles. I was emailed back later that day from the email thread initiated by the chatbot enquiry asking me to send photos of the gift cards, receipts and vouchers. I am not making this up, it’s that laughable.
To finalise this review, i have still had no resolution, this company has £500 of my money on hold. And the birthday present i wanted to surprise my partner with had to be purchased using a credit card from our shared account which she gets transaction alerts on. All in all a massive anticlimax when she asked me if i had bought her that present she has been asking for..
And to top it off, if this ever gets resolved i will have £500 in e-gift cards for a retailer i’ve already purchased the wanted item from. Total waste of time and also very suspicious why a company would withhold funds when they provide you with the option of redeeming the amount they withhold.. These are the reasons for my one star review.

There continues to be 48-72hr delays & extra logging in steps just to obtain your gift cards, which is very frustrating

Yeah it was easy to use. It takes time in beginning to understand but after I know its very easy to redeem and use.

It was difficult to activate the card. I just tried to redeem it, just found out, It has an expiry date and it has expired. However money does not expire!!
I want the money back!!
This company needs to be reported trading standards and close down!!

I liked how you could choose how much money you put on a gift card but i disliked how it was very confusing purchasing a lego set for my little brother
