I have recently bought a Triumph…

I have recently bought a Triumph Speedboat 400 from Lings at Watton. I was helped and advised by James, the sales manager. I found his advice and calm, reassurance very positive and helpful.
I bought the bike and again with James advice added some extras to the bike which i think add to the bikes potential and value.
I highly recommend.

Bike good but MOT not done

But hadn’t done a new MOT
as discussed
I’ve been given money to cover cost but it means I now have to take time off work to take bike for MOT within the next 5 weeks and hope it passes so I can still use. Simple check list box had been ticked but not really done. What else was ticked but not done.

Excellent Service 10 out of 10!!

I had excellent service from Harry at Lings in Watton who dealt with the purchase of my new Triumph speed 400.

Harry was very informative and answered all the questions I had. I was not pressurised in any way to purchase the bike, but with such great service and information provided I felt very confident to go ahead and purchase a bike from Lings.

I was kept well informed by Harry during the whole process right up to delivery, I especially liked to videos sent of my bike prior to delivery.

Delivery was great too!

My overall experience of Lings was 10 out of 10 and I would highly recommend Lings to anyone.

I will definitely be looking to go back to Lings whenever I’m looking to upgrade my bike 😊

Friendly and helpful staff

I ran in to a fantastic Dealership

I found the whole process very enjoyable.
I was in car sales for 33 years so I understand the way things work but I found your process so relaxing and not under pressure it was perfect.
James was super helpfull and a dream to deal with.
The bike was also presented in perfect condition for it's age.

Service department need to start commuicating to customers

Been using Lings for a while now. Had a couple of Bikes from them and cant complain about the sales side. However todays experince with the service department was less than satifying. Ordered a new front tyre for my wifes Speed twin as this was advised to change at the last service. Lings was not the cheapist for this but I chose them out of loyalty. Got to Lings for the alloted time and was told, sorry your tyre will be here tomorrow. No phone call to tell me not to come and just told sorry I am new here!So a wasted 75 mile round trip in the rain and the loss of half a days pay. Not good enough Lings!

Unfortunately, the tyre did not arrive from our supplier as confirmed ahead of your booking. While the majority of deliveries arrive as expected, on this occasion this specific tyre was missing from the consignment despite the rest of the order arriving.

Due to the timing of the booking and delivery schedule, we were unfortunately unable to contact you before you had already begun travelling. In hindsight, allowing a larger buffer between delivery and booking would have been the better approach and is something we will review internally.

We completely understand your frustration regarding the wasted journey and time lost, and we were equally disappointed that the tyre had not arrived as expected. Since then, the tyre has arrived and we have attempted to contact you to discuss rebooking and how we may be able to put things right, however we have unfortunately been unable to reach you so far.

We do appreciate your loyalty to Lings over the years and thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Harry at Norfolk was a pleasure to deal with start to finish. Very quick on call backs videos. 110% will be back to use Lings again and especially Harry. A proper sales person that knows how to treat a customer. Thank you all. Delighted with my new bike.

The guys at lings are fantastic

The guys at lings are fantastic, from start to finish .Harry called everyday with updates and I had a lovely personalised video of my new bike with a thank you message. They put L plates on for me and put half a tank of fuel in at no extra cost. Was the easiest purchase thankvyou lings.

A disappointing experience

I had to wait 4 months for delivery, everytime I rang for an update I felt I was being a nuisance and was told "I said I would ring you when I know where it is". When I was eventually told it was here it was then changed to it isn't yours it is someone else's. This was all very disappointing, Lings would have been much better just telling the truth and saying we don't have a clue where it is or when you will get it. By the time it arrived the excitement had passed and I didn't really care anymore. When the bike did arrive on the van by a very nice guy it was rolled down the van ramp and I immediately said something isn't right here it all looks on the skew. He agreed it didn't look right. When rode it I realised that the handle bars were on the skew by a long way so I had to return the bike the next day for adjustment. It made me wonder why it took a week to be checked before I received it. The service department was excellent, the lady on reception and the technician were very helpful and apologised for the situation. That said I am very disappointed with the overall buying experience.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are very sorry to hear that your buying experience did not meet the standards we aim to provide and appreciate your honest comments.

Unfortunately, the delays experienced with your motorcycle were due to supplier delivery times outside of our direct control. At the point of order, the forecasted arrival was March/April, however this was later delayed by several weeks. Whilst we regularly chased for updates on your behalf, the systems available to us do not provide live tracking information, meaning we can only pass on the information provided by the manufacturer at the time.

We do appreciate how frustrating this must have been, particularly as the expected timescales changed during the process. We did our best to maintain regular communication throughout and provide updates whenever new information became available, although we fully understand this did not lessen the disappointment caused by the extended wait.

In relation to the allocation confusion, the first unit we received was for a customer whose order had been placed over two months prior, despite their motorcycle only arriving only a few weeks before yours. Once your motorcycle arrived with us, it was prepared within days and we arranged delivery at the earliest opportunity.

We also apologise that the handlebars required adjustment after delivery. Whilst this was quickly resolved by our service team without delay, we appreciate the inconvenience this caused following delivery.

We have also attempted to contact you by phone following your review, however unfortunately we have been unable to reach you. We will try to contact you again to discuss this further, however if you would prefer, please feel free to return our call at your convenience.

Thank you again for your feedback. We are genuinely sorry that the overall experience affected the excitement of receiving your new motorcycle, and we will continue reviewing our processes and communication wherever possible.

Turned out to be a very expensive…

Turned out to be a very expensive Service!
I had a new tiger 1200 out while mine was in (69 Reg Gen3) and I did not expect to like the new one so much, as loved the Gen3, but was night & day. The sales guy didn't have to twist my arm too much when I got back.
Great bike, great service from Sales & Service Dept.

Service was great by all the staff

Service was great by all the staff, Although recovering from a motorcycle injury staff assisted me to sit on the motorcycles to find my perfect bike. Once bike ordered was kept updated on delivery date on a regular basis. Great experience throughout would highly recommend Lings of Watton.
