Never had to call customer service
Never had to call customer service - because everything was self-explanatory and worked as expected. I wish I could continue working with Lively, but that doesn't seem to be an option after transitioning to ACA health insurance.

Well-designed and easy to use!
Lively is a well-designed application. Minimal bureaucracy. All necessary functions are handled within the app, no insane paper documentation. I think everyone should open a Lively account so you aren't kicking your HSA balance from one company to another.

Happy to move to Lively
One of my most satisfying accomplishments in 2025 is moving to Lively. After being with HSA Bank for 21 years I finally decided to get out due to the deterioration of its customer service to an unbearable level. Even though HSA Bank made the transfer extremely frustrating, Lively did most of the work for me. So far I liked everything I have seen at Lively.

I transferred to Lively from Health Equity and I am extremely happy!
I transferred from Health Equity due to their high fees and restrictions on self-directed investments with Schwab. Lively is the best HSA administrator that I have yet encountered. I just hope they don't get bought out by Health Equity or some other HSA administrator which has happened to me in the past. Lively is vastly superior to these other HSA administrators.

Low cost and nice integration with Schwab investment option. Easy online interaction - not complicated.
Much better than HSA Bank which is expensive, restrictive, and dropped the Schwab option in favor of their own limited stock investment platform.

Lively is Great!
Very easy to set up. Great live support. Had a HSA account that was continually passed around from place to place. The last HSA custodian, their customer service team was extremely rude…like they were doing me a favor. They had a fee structure that deducted from the HSA monthly as well. At that point I was done. Found Lively. No fees as long as you maintain the required minimum. Very easy to understand and set up. When I had a question they were actually there to help. They are conveniently associated with Schwab so it was easy to set up a brokerage investment account. Just my first withdrawal and that process was very smooth as well. Feel like I have control over my HSA again after being passed around. Would highly recommend Lively!

Easy to setup and use. Great support staff. My only minor complaint it takes at least a week to move funds once initiated to get where you want it.
