This was my second MRI scan at LivingCare
I had an excellent experience with Living Care for my MRI scan. The whole process was smooth and well-organized from start to finish. Booking was quick and straightforward, and I was given a convenient appointment time without a long wait.
The staff were incredibly professional, kind, and reassuring, which made me feel at ease throughout the scan. They explained everything clearly and checked in on my comfort, which I really appreciated. The clinic itself was modern, clean, and welcoming.
I highly recommend Living Care MRI scans to anyone looking for a reliable, professional, and caring service.

NHS Patients: stay far, far away.
I will prefix this by saying i gave the company direct feedback ( that they requested ) around 2 months ago, and I have heard nothing back. This is reflective of their treatment of NHS patients in the thorpe park clinic.
If you are referred to LivingCare for a colonoscopy by the NHS, avoid at all costs for the sake of your wellbeing and health.
Expect an absolute fiasco in arranging your appointment. For a 2025 private company to be operating at such a poor level in arranging appointments was deeply concerning and was the first warning that the rest of my experience with livingcare would be so horrific.
The staff will refuse your partner to acompany you to appointments. If you become unwell during or after your appointment, your partner will not be informed. The staff in the procedure room are cold, rude, and generally uninterested in you and are only interested in getting you out of the clinic as soon as possible, to get the next person in.
No complaints
Paid my £400+ for an MRI. Arrived at the appointment time and was seen immediately. Helpful and friendly staff. No complaints.

A easy and pleasant place to go
A easy and pleasant place to go. The staff and medical workers where kind, informative and caring. I would be happy to go again if required.
Misled, frustrated and dissatisfied.
I found LivingCare online after searching for a private MRI service due to significant spinal pain and ongoing delays with the NHS. I paid £75 for an initial 20-minute consultation with living care referring Dr, Dr Rashid on Friday 1st August 2025, during which I was told that once my MRI was completed, my results would be sent to Dr Rashid and he would contact me to discuss them.
I subsequently paid £1,050 to self-fund the MRI scan.
When I attended the Sheffield centre, I was greeted by polite and friendly staff. However, I was surprised by the lack of facilities, especially as a private-paying patient. Unlike other private healthcare providers I have used (such as Claremont and Spire hospitals), there were no refreshments or small amenities available while waiting.
During the scan process, the student radiographer was excellent and very professional. The main radiographer, Bob, was polite but appeared rushed, moving quickly through paperwork and getting me onto the bed as fast as possible. The whole process felt hurried, which was disappointing given the cost I had paid.
When I asked how long it would take to receive my results, I was told only that my “referring doctor” would be in touch. On Friday 8th August, I contacted LivingCare Leeds to clarify the process, as the Sheffield team did not seem certain. I was then informed that I would need to book a separate follow-up appointment with Dr Rashid to receive my results – at an additional cost of £30+.
This is unacceptable for several reasons:
At no point during my initial consultation was I told there would be an extra fee to receive my results.
I have already paid £75 for the initial referral consultation and £1,050 for the MRI – I would expect the results discussion to be included in this price.
One of the main reasons I chose to go private was for a swift turnaround, ideally within 48 hours, which had been implied.
Because I declined to pay the extra fee, I was told my results would instead be sent to my GP, which will now delay me by over a week – completely defeating the purpose of going private in the first place.
Overall, this experience has left me feeling misled, frustrated, and dissatisfied. I went private to avoid delays, yet due to unclear communication and unexpected charges, I now face the same waiting times as if I had gone through the NHS.
I think it’s a total con to charge 75…
I think it’s a total con to charge 75 for a two minute consultation just to get a referral and then having been referred say for an MRI you then want to charge again for the result follow up . That is simply unethical .
You should include a follow up consultation in the initial fee .
This has left me disillusioned .
Also the both me and another patient were left waiting for 20 minutes to see the radiologist . Just not good enough
Excellent experience
Did not know this facility was available. Well done to all, speedy contact with appointment date, Canon medical facility excellent with good parking. Staff friendly and knowledgeable.
