SHAM
SHAM. Charged triple after the door was fixed. I am phoning trading standards and I think that all of the other people that have been defrauded here, should do then same. I will not rest until this company refunds us. I am also getting my solicitor to contact them. Unfair businesses should not remain untouchable.
This company is completely FRAUDULENT
This company is completely FRAUDULENT.
They came to my house, gave me the same excuse that it was too difficult to open the door and had to drill a hole in it. I told them no, and they then said I had to pay a call out fee. I then looked online and it's clearly advertised there is No call out fee. They have since blocked me from calling them and do not answer my emails.
I have reported them to Trading Standards and they have informed me that many other people have reported them and that this company is fake and used a fake address. The company address they put down is a Shisha bar! I advise others to also report the company as this company is not legitimate.
Dodgy do not use these people
Don’t be fooled by the star, this is a con outfit, make up charges as they go along, dodgy east European blokes turn up very intimidating, ripped of young mum and child , they need to be stopped!
Just got scammed
Got asked to pay more than what the website says and the work certainly does not warrant a 200£ call out fee. The ones who get locked out are vulnerable people & these locksmiths know how to target them and cheat them of their money.
Biggest fraud ever!!!!
Biggest fraud ever!!!!
Came to my door charged me and ruined my lock than they left and let me outside cause he couldn't open the door!!!
Wanted to charge me £180 for no job done, I agreed to pay him only the call out and he started to argue with me!!!
NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!!!
Fraudsters and scammers
As everyone says below, a total scam. Got locked out, phoned a "24h Locksmith" and these two massive Eastern European guys show up, pretend that your door has a "very special lock" and only way to open it is to drill the door broke and replace it, quoted c. £165 for a new lock, reassure you that your insurance will reimburse you, then put on a big show of drilling and using power tools to open the door (which a real locksmith would never do), and then without explanation hand you with a £700 invoice with extremely vague items like "a new lock"= £325. When you try to challenge them and refuse to pay (what insurance company will pay for a "£325 new lock"?), they just get angry and nasty and it is difficult to fight off two big men as a woman. Avoid and please do phone Citizens Advice if you get scammed by these fraudsters and report to Fraud Action!
BIGGEST SCAM TAKING PLACE IN LONDON…
BIGGEST SCAM TAKING PLACE IN LONDON RIGHT NOW:
The scam is as following:
They are doing Google Adwords to advert for locksmith services in London. People who find their self locked out, will use Google to search for a locksmith.
They have 4 websites for advertising,
local-locksmith24.co.uk
emergency-locksmith24h.co.uk
key-24.co.uk
keycitylocksmith.co.uk
Once you order a locksmith from there, someone will come to your property and by telling you a full list of lies, they try and charge you as much as they possible can. They will charge anywhere from £500 to £2500 to open your door and replace the lock.
You will receive a fake invoice, with a non working phone number on it and an email address you will never receive a response.
Their websites have automated dynamic phones numbers, which means the number is changed every 1 hour. So once the locksmith leaves your property, you will never find them anymore.
The only way to find them again, is to visit their websites, call the number they have there and order a locksmith, but you will have to act like a first time customer that is locked out and need their emergency service. If they smell something, your number will be automatically blocked.
Also they do not pay any taxes and they do not use any company. Everything is a one time hit scam for vulnerable customers that are locked out.
They have 27 "locksmiths" across London and they scam around 500 customers/week
EVERYONE REPORT THEM TO POLICE AND EXPLAIN THEM THE SCAM.

Rip Off Con Merchants - STAY AWAY
I had exactly the same experience as Greg Bunbury below.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Called this service for an emergency… locksmith.
Called this service for an emergency locksmith, asked for a quote and was told £55. Locksmith arrived within the hour, and opened the door in less than 10 seconds. Then he bills me the £55 PLUS a 'call out charge'. I ask when this wasn't mentioned in the quote, he said he doesn't know why, and gave me a story about how the service runs. Called the office and asked why the call out charge was not mentioned, they said 'it's on the website' (it's not). Said a manager would call me back, and now when I call the line just comes up as engaged all the time (blocked). Called on a different phone and the call went through, and again they said a manager would call me back, and of course I've not received a call. Awful service, am reporting to trading standards.
Wish I'd seen the reviews on here
Wish I'd seen the reviews on here. Was caught by convincing patter and my own ignorance of reasonable costs. Paid probably 3x more than I should have done for the service to re-open the door and a new lock put in. Also, the receipt was just for amount, no detail provided. No follow-up messages to my requests for more information. I feel completely 'had'. Don't trust them. Don't use them. Go to an actual locksmith direct.
Very unprofessional company
Very unprofessional company, the price online is £49, when you call they start from £55, when the guy came he said is very complicated and started from £100 to £180, by the time he was giving me the prices my friend came with a key and we opened the door, he changed me £58.80 for nothing, the price plus VAT, when I called the office again she didn’t know whether £55 is with VAT or not, absolutely dodgy .....
AVOID - DO NOT USE RIP OFF
AVOID - DO NOT USE
Absolutely disgusting service. Told one price over the phone then another one he turned up. The price then just kept escalating to £240 just to drill a Yale lock (that later turned out wasn't required to be done) just to get into the house. A new lock barrel would then have costed another £140 to be supplied and fitted! Receipt for the payment / works was conveniently not available.
I'm currently waiting for a local locksmith now to repair his work costing me more money.
Hidden call out fee and VAT
Their website states prices from £49 and arrival in 15-20 minutes. I called their number and spoke to a receptionist who said “the price for a simple lock is £55” and the locksmith will look at the lock and confirm the price before agreeing. There was absolutely no mention of a flat fee irrespective of work done or not (i.e. a call out fee). Locksmith arrived in a beat up car, said he couldn’t do the lock as it was a high security lock (then later said he could drill through it but did not sound very confident, he literally said “I haven’t done this one before” under his breath). I refused as I didn’t think he knew what he was doing and handed me an invoice for £66! There is indeed a call out fee and VAT is not included in this. The customer SHOULD BE INFORMED of any flat fee or excluded VAT! I called the company back and the receptionists quite literally shouted down the phone at me, terminated the call and now they refuse to answer my calls.
Their website lists no address, photos of their technicians are fake (google reverse search it yourself) and now they’ve blocked my calls.
Action Fraud UK says I have a case, so I am moving forward through them.
