Excellent service with no hidden charges
Finally, a serious car rental company that doesn’t try to charge you for unnecessary extras.
I rented a Peugeot 3008 SUV-C with my family from Bergamo. We took a road trip through the Dolomites, Venice and Florence, and returned the car in Bologna without any delays or problems.
I highly recommend Locauto without hesitation!

Excellent rental experience
Excellent rental experience! I really appreciated being able to rent a car using only a debit card, without a credit card or a deposit.
Before making the payment, I had a few questions, so I contacted the company through their online chat. The assistant answered everything clearly and in great detail, which gave me confidence to book the car. I paid for everything online before arriving in Italy, so everything was ready when I arrived.
The location is very convenient, close to the bus stop, and both pick-up and return were quick and easy. I’m very happy with the service and will definitely use this company again.

Desk booking, car and on site experience all very easy and no waiting. Only reason it loses a star is the pre arrival support is awful. The "go straight to car" app experience simply doesn't work. The phone number has limited hours and the WhatsApp and chat on the website also doesn't get responses. Thankfully everything was fine in the end but the only reason I booked was to use the app. They need to fix it. But as I say, otherwise great experience

All went well, the car was clean and quite new, staff both at pickup and dropoff communicative and helpful. We could also take it to Switzerland and France (unlike many other cars of rental companies).

half a tank of fuel
I received documents to sign before getting into the car, stating that the car had a full tank. After leaving the parking lot, I noticed that the fuel tank was a little over half full. I contacted customer service, but it took 15 days for a response. I returned the car with the same fuel level, but I was still charged for the full tank and the refill. I was also informed that the tank was full, but the fuel gauge was faulty. Unfortunately, this doesn't reflect my experience, as on the second day of use, I filled the tank and the gauge showed a full tank, and I have photo documentation. I conclude that either I was deliberately given a car that wasn't fully functional, or they were trying to defraud me. I'm waiting for a response from customer service.
