Our fight was cancelled
Our fight was cancelled, so we needed to hire a car to get from Catania to Palermo. The sales rep sold us a car at €400, but when we went to collect it, both the return time and the collection location were incorrect, so we were asked to pay an additional amount to arrange collection from Palermo, despite clearly stating this was a point to point hire.
After around 20 minutes of arguing, they agreed to refund thr additional payment, but not the drop off time, meaning we had to spend 6 hours at Palermo airport.
The main driver for refunding the additional payment was to ensure we didn’t complain, rather than actually putting the problem right.

The employees at Alamo /Locauto in Rome…
The employees at Alamo /Locauto in Rome (Mr. Alessandro C. and Nicolas) as well as the employees of Alamo/Locauto in Catania (Mr. Marco) took excellent care of us when we landed in the wrong place on the wrong day in an emergency due to a cancelled flight.
Very good service and solution-oriented action even in the late evening! Big praise! 5 stars!

Check in, Car trouble
There was a confusion at the time of check in. The assigned was not there for washing. We waited additional 30 minutes to get a replacement. The replaced car had an injection trouble, forcing it to slow down on a high way. Luckily, this happened on the last day, so we were able to use the car happily for the first 4 days.

We arrived at Catania late at night. We tried another car company they didn’t have any cars at the airport. We went to your counter and Sara was very helpful and we got the car that moment. The car was great too. I will recommend your company any time.

We were charged for an extra rental…
We were charged for an extra rental day, which we believe is incorrect. Although the contract was signed at 5:00 PM, due to an extremely long queue at the rental car parking, we only received the keys at 6:50 PM. We returned the car at 7:00 PM, only 10 minutes after the actual pick-up time. Charging us for a second day because of a delay caused by Locauto’s own service is clearly unfair. We therefore request a refund of the additional day charged.
