PLEASE, PLEASE AVOID.
Paid for a vehicle which I never got (got a downgrade). Hours after collecting the car, car broke down. Battery had died. Company collected the car but would not deliver another car so we were stuck without a car for 4 days. Had to make own way back up to airport, without a car obvs to collect it. Would not pick us up. Really poor service

Property was beautiful in its Tuscan setting. The owner could not have been nicer and more informative in giving tips on how to make our time in the Tuscan Region more entertaining and meaningful. Would suggest information in property listing to note that owner will charge for any electricity usage above normal usage for villa property. Our time at this property was during a very hot period in the region resulting in our having to reimburse the owner for above normal electricity usage.

Quick leave, more vacation
The way of getting the car at the parking is great. No office desk, just a quick check and getting the key.
Minor is the fact that the full to full (fuel) wasn't the case. You have to calculate how much it has to be fueled. But managed it.
Bottom line, great experience.

Unexpected extra payments and dangerous and crowded bus transfer. When collecting the car we had to pay a…
When collecting the car we had to pay a large amount extra for insurance and an extra driver. This was a surprise to us. The extra driver costed €80, original offer agreed via Booking.com was €48,80. Body protection costed €172,75, all other damages still had an own risk of €1700 and theft €2200.
The bus drive from the airport to the rental car location was very crowded and dangerous. The busdriver was having a social telephone call with his cellphone and not watching the traffic.
The people at the desk were very friendly and willing to help. They also liked to sell the additional insurances.

Our customers are always completely free to accept or decline these options based on their travel needs.
As for the shuttle service between the airport and the rental location, we would like to inform you that this transfer is fully operated and managed by the airport authorities, and is not dependent on Locauto.

Our car was great, brand new and reliable. Picking up was easy, to find the rent-a-car drop off was a challenge, but we managed:)) We had a great time in Tuscany!

Locauto staff are truly exemplary
Locauto staff are truly exemplary. The range of available vehicles is diverse, support for user needs in language, paperwork, and service is widely available, and staff are quickly responsive to issues. Example: when our rented vehicle was towed because of my parking error, Locauto notified us immediately and arranged for its immediate return, salvaging a family vacation in Italy. Supplementary insurance purchased through Booking.com is an independent agreement between you and that provider. For this reason, it cannot be recognized or processed directly by Locauto or any other car rental supplier. We hope this clarifies things for you, and we would love the chance to serve you better on your next rental.

Long cue to receive car
Long cue to receive car, got much bigger car than I wanted (in Italy with tiny roads) but car ran very well and drop off was very easy and quick. I recommend when it’s not peak hour and good to verify what car they give you if it’s not the one you ordered.

Very easy service
Very easy service, we did book through a 3rd company.
Locauto were polite, great service.
The car we hired had some superficial paintwork damage, we took photos of these at collection. On drop off, no queries were raised over the pre existing damage.
Stress free car rental.
