Friendly staff. No delay at the rental counter and at the garage.

1. Office recognized my reservation.
2. Office allowed me to get setup one day in advance.
3. Day of pickup my paperwork was ready and I proceeded directly to pickup the car.
4. Car pickup guy answered all my questions and got me setup on the GPS.
5. Car return was quick and straight forward.

The management of the staff in the delivery of the car and in the return was excellent, but the cleanliness of the car and the general condition of the vehicle was not satisfactory.

The people in Florence were great behind the desk. The car was terrific for the whole trip and easy return at the airport.

The experience was very good. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the whole process was quick and easy. They gave us a very good car that was almost new and in perfect condition. Everything went smoothly and we were very satisfied with the service. I would definitely rent from them again.

Pick up was fabulous , the service was great . Best car hire in italy so far , I have used every company so this was a pleasant surprise:)
However due to unforeseen circumstances I had to drop the car back a day early . The man was very rude at the garage and demanded I pay 20 euro because it was a Sunday !!

Overall, the rental process with Local Auto in Milan was smooth and efficient. The car delivery was fast, well organized, and the staff was professional.

However, the experience became quite unpleasant right after leaving the garage. While using Waze to drive to our destination (a relaxing day in Tuscany), we found ourselves facing the extremely complex traffic restriction system in Florence (ZTL zones).

We spent more than an hour trying to understand maps and figure out how to reach the highway without entering restricted areas. Everything was confusing, and at no point during the car handover were we informed about this issue or given any guidance on how to avoid ZTL zones.

For non-locals and foreign drivers, this situation is particularly stressful. Navigation apps do not clearly offer an option to avoid ZTL areas, and we were left with the uncomfortable feeling that we might receive a fine for something that was never explained to us and that we were not properly equipped to handle as visitors.
