I've ordered from Malts.com several times now, as their Lagavulin special editions are offered at the best prices here.
Recently, I noticed however that my points weren't adding up and my tier wasn't elevating as it should be. Since you can use these points for a discount, and a higher tier comes with extra benefits, that's unfortunate.
I contacted customer support and with the help of Ellen and the technical team, this got sorted. Even though ultimatly I needed to re-register, they made sure my points and tier were ready upon re-registration. Just ordered some more Offerman editions, with a nice discount 😊

I buy malt whisky for my dad he loves Dalwinni so I look out regularly for promotions throughout the year to stock up for his birthday or Xmas the delivery system is efficient and trustworthy I’ve had no issues with any of his purchases. I got him a presentation box with weighted whiskey glasses. These were received with no issues no breakages. Highly recommend also points accrued through purchases can go towards money off future purchases so you can save and make a great saving without having to compromise on your preferred choice of Whisky

Order only if you don’t need to return!
Placed an order on Malts.com and wanted to use my 2000 member points which gives you £20 discount. All looked good and discount applied when checked out, however when the payment processed the order confirmation was stating the full amount and I had been charged the full amount. I immediately contacted the customer services to ask for them to rectify this or cancel the order so I could reorder as appeared an issue with the checkout process and I had been charged the full amount incorrectly when the discount had applied at checkout (which I have screenshots of).
Unfortunately their customer services are abysmal. They did not reply in a timely manner, so my order had then been dispatched so they were unable to cancel the order. They advised I could return for a refund and then try reordering again with the points (no charges mentioned).
When I confirmed I would like to do that they informed me there was a return fee of £10 which is stated no where on the website and also extremely high for “shipping charges”. I have been back and forth with customer services as I don’t understand why I should be out of pocket for an error on their website and I tried to rectify the issue as soon as the order was placed.
They have ignored my questions in emails with very basic and unhelpful replies. I have now paid the £10 as I just want it sent back and sorted out and they didn’t give me any other option. I am extremely unhappy about this and have reordered the item with the points, but instead of being a £20 voucher I have technically lost £10 of that due to the website error on the first order and having to pay to return the item.
The shipping label after I paid took them 5 days to provide also, although the refund was quick when they received it back.
They offered me a £15 voucher as goodwill but that is not helpful at all as it couldn’t be used for the return fee, couldn’t be used in conjunction with the points. I think it is appalling that I have ended up paying £10 for an error that I had no control over and was a fault in their website/checkout system, especially when I highlighted to them as soon as the order processed.
No issue with product or shipping time, just be aware if you have any issues as they have terrible customer service, hidden charges to return and overall a really bad experience with this company.
