My order failed to arrive via Hermes it…

My order failed to arrive via Hermes it was out for delivery and has been for over a week asked Manchester Vacs for a refund and they said they couldent refund me as it was my fault for choosing Hermes on their site and I could chosen DHL, worst customer services I have ever come across

All we have here is an overreaction about a slow economy delivery at a very busy time (global pandemic and approaching Xmas). It is a fact that we offer an economy and a premium delivery service. Some people choose economy and expect premium. You can have next day with DPD or you can have a budget carrier that takes longer. You choose which you want during checkout.

From time to time people choose economy delivery and get triggered when it doesnt come within a day or two. Choosing and paying for the delivery service you want is the simple answer to this.

Great shop, great price!

I was sent here from my usual excellent vac shop who didn’t have in stock the Sebo model I was after. The response to my telephone enquiry was fast and friendly confirming stock and saying I could have a demonstration and if purchasing, the Sebo X7 Pet could be assembled for me to take home.
Arriving, their premises are an Aladdin’s cave of vacuum cleaners, old, new, new old stock builds and fully reconditioned units. These people are genuine knowledgeable enthusiasts, specialist retailers and repairers, just the sort of establishment that I prefer to deal with and a friendly face rather than an inanimate web page. Oh and great prices too.
Unreservedly recommended!

Outstanding Company, Outstanding Service

As a new customer, I have only high praise for Manchester Vacs. I discovered MV from Sebo website as authorised stockists & decided to visit MV in person, rather than purchase online. What a fantastic & outstanding customer experience! I wanted to purchase 2 Sebo X7 vacuum cleaners. The lady who greeted me (I’m so sorry but I didn’t ask your name, my apologies) was very welcoming, friendly & knowledgeable. There are demonstrator models available to try out, superb, you don’t get this level of customer experience or service even in the high end department stores, let alone Tech stores! Thank you MV for providing such a high standard of customer service.Having test vacuumed around the store, Stuart then demonstrated how to maintain and keep the hoover in good working order, which made it so much easier for me & my 80 year old mum to understand the manual instructions. I purchased 2 Sebo X7 vacuum cleaners, at very competitive prices. Stuart offered to assemble both Sebo’s which is very much appreciated. MV Vacs know there stuff. I was even treated to a viewing of a working 1920’s hoover from their vacuum museum, fantastic. I left a very satisfied customer & asked to take a handful of business cards, to distribute to friends & neighbours. MV also offers a repair service, I prefer to to buy quality and have things repaired. As for our new Sebo X7 hoovers, Mum & I have hoovered a couple of times over the weekend, we’re amazed at the difference in hoovering experience, so easy & our carpets look like new! Thank you MV, I will be recommending you to all I know.

What a great company

I had a Sebo, my mum has a Sebo, my sister had one too! I was gutted when mine blew up in smoke and couldnt get the same one again... or could I!

After many months without, I decided enough was enough and I had to try and pick one up second hand. Thats when I found Manchester Vacs.

I made a few enquiries first, and was really pleased with the customer service (Claire) so went ahead with my purchase. Its literally the same Sebo I had previously.

My unit is in really good condition, and arrived by next day delivery. What more could you want.

Will definitely be back when I need to get another, and will be recommending to anyone who will listen.

Took our Sebo X4 in for repair…

Took our Sebo X4 in for repair estimate. Staff all very helpful and gave us demonstration of the X7 Pet which is the nearest equivalent to the X4. They provided us with all the options / costs to repair our X4 and decided to choose a repair given the higher power compared to the latest models. Collected today and extremely pleased with the repair, which included full service and a 12 month guarantee on the new motor. Everyone very helpful, polite, professional and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Bought my new Sebo X7 Automatic Pet…

Bought my new Sebo X7 Automatic Pet today,I would just like to say from the moment of entering the shop the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Gave me a full demonstration and were very knowledgeable about their products. They went the extra mile and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. My daughter was extremely happy with her sweets on our journey back home down the motorway back to Blackpool. Thank you very much Manchester Vacs ☺️

The rudest people I've ever had to deal…

The rudest people I've ever had to deal with on Ebay. Those people who have given them more than 1 star have ordered, received order,
that's it. If you dare query or question your order you encounter rude, unprofessional,unpleasant responses. They make comments like is 'English your first language,' (definite tones of racism) and use terms like ' capishe' Reinforcing just how rude this company and its staff are.
I had to laugh at their responses and behaviours. It mirrors the type of responses you'd expect in a 1980s style Fawlty Towers!! Almost incredible for a 'business' of today!! LAUGHABLE

This person "Mitch" bought a crevice tool for a Dyson DC39 from eBay for the eye-watering price of £3.99 including delivery.

"Mitch" received a crevice tool for a Dyson DC39.

On the listing in question, 894 other people bought the same item without incident. The product description couldn't be simpler. Item 331311963977 on eBay if anyone wants to look - even Manuel from Fawlty Towers could understand it. This is not a complicated transaction to undertake.

Enter "Mitch".

After receipt of the item he ordered, Mitch claimed it "didn't fit his DC39". After a long and tedious exchange including photographs (this is £3.99 including delivery, remember), we finally drilled down into the facts.

The fact is he wanted an INSERT for a multi tool. INSTEAD - because he didn't read - he bought a crevice tool that he IMAGINED might mate with another tool. It doesn't, and "Mitch" can't grasp that he bought a different item. The item he bought DOES fit a DC39. It doesn't fit the HALF a tool he imagined it might.

"Mitch" isn't bright enough to grasp this seemingly complicated concept. Either that, or English isn't his first language. Either way, Mitch - and others like him - take up far too much time. This is classic Pareto.

Having this simple point explained to him over and over again got us nowhere. And finally, when we advised him we wouldn't reply this further, we did indeed use a line from Fawlty Towers: "Is English your first language? I'll make it EVEN simpler. Try to wrap your head around it before one of us dies".

How some people operate the toilet flush without an instruction manual and a team of helpers is a mystery.

No problem at all

No problem at all. Ordered a new sebo vac online saturday evening, had confirmation monday that dpd would deliver tuesday.

Delivered on time in perfect condition. Brand new. Easy website, easy payment via paypal. Great!

I bought a reconditioned Sebo Vacuum from this company and I can’t fault it. Delivered very quickly and very happy with the end product.

Super speedy response and fantastic customer experience

Tried to have my Sebo fixed locally but with no success and had been relying on my cordless vacuum for weeks. I desperately wanted my Sebo fixing for Christmas but not confident we would have time. We took a trip to Manchester Vacs on Tuesday 17th December and picked it up, all fixed and back to full working order, on Saturday 21st December. Lovely people and fantastic service. They have all you need too, like replacement bags etc. It’s well worth a trip, we live a good 45 minutes away but wouldn’t hesitate to return. Thank you Manchester Vacs.

First class service

I visited the shop personally in Reddish today with an electrical fault on my Sebo X4.
The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They replaced the power chord with a longer heavy duty cable. They carried out the replacement while I waited and because I had travelled so far they did not charge me for their Labour.
Excellent service, I recommend that you visit the shop if it is within a reasonable travel distance and check out the vast array of vacuums on display backed up by a knowledgeable staff to advise you.

DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE !!

I agree with the other reviews about very rude staff. Paid a lot of money to have an item fixed however on return it wasn’t fixed so returned back to be repaired. The attitude was disgusting telling me there’s nothing wrong with my item so I have to pay for postage to have it returned back. I packaged the item wrapped in a duvet to protect it and was mocked for it being told he would return my item and even return my duvet. Is there any need of the disgusting attitude.Stuart insulted me a few times via email. After I explained I just lost my partner which is why he couldn’t reach the number he had I got called an imbecile and didn’t know my own contact details. I’ve had no reply on email and he still has my item.
When ever some one writes a bad review he always seems to have some story to explain himself but how can so many customers who don’t know each other be wrong. Looking forward to Stuart’s reply.

so as you can see this vile man has just proved my point when I say he is very rude.
And for your information the duvet wasn’t is any way in a terrible condition, but even if it was what a terrible way to talk about a customer. Also the couriers have never had a problem with delivering any items regardless off the phone number so don’t see his point there. He contacted me with no problem at all via email.
When you pay for an item to be fixed you expect that item to be fixed. It came back with a different problem than I had originally had with it on return when Manchester vac had packaged and sent it back to me. I think it’s time to retire old man your days are over !! Night night

We repaired a Dyson Airblade hand dryer for this woman. She sent it inadequately packaged and it got damaged en route. She had to pay extra to fix that.

The repair was perfect - that's what we do. *shrugs*

She claimed it was still faulty and going off randomly. As it is a 'return to base' guarantee, she had to pay carriage to return it for inspection. This time she excelled herself and sent it wrapped in a moth-eaten, stained, manky, old duvet with a few wisps of cardboard around it. Utterly inadequate.

We had it plugged in on 24/7 test for over a week and the repair was of course, perfect as we had originally asserted. She was difficult to contact as she had provided us an incorrect phone number so we were unable to clarify details as we would have wished. At the point we advised her the repair was fine and we are unable to replicate the alleged fault, she became demanding and militant.

We don't acquiesce to silliness or demands, so we advised her we would keep it one more week on test to be certain it is perfect and return it to her - at our expense as a goodwill gesture. And following that, we would decline to deal with her further.

Apparently, this made her unhappy, and that together with the fact that we pointed out a flea-bitten old duvet, and no suitable box, is not adequate packaging for a sensitive piece of electronic equipment and maybe her providing a phone number that actually works (needed for couriers too) wouldn't be rocket science sent her over the edge.

If this woman spent half as much time wrapping her appliance properly and knowing her own phone number as she has done later defaming us on the internet, she would have been a happy camper weeks ago. Call us fussy, but we like to deal with customers who have a modicum of common sense and who know their own phone number. For the record, we never used the word "imbecile" as she asserts (readers can decide if it is applicable), but we did indeed pledge to return the hygienically questionable duvet to her.
