The company at present is doing well . It is my experience from many years ago which was poor in that they did not fully explain the tax implications of these policies on withdrawl

Those who invest with Prudential should…
Those who invest with Prudential should know that in the event of a pension sharing order on divorce (in my case 24 years ago) the shambolic company will not allow access until the ex spouse has decided what she wants to do with her share, despite the pension being mine originally, in spite of a Judges Order stating how the pension should be split. The upshot is I may die before realising my benefits and Prudential does not give a toss. This a a disgraceful situation.

Well planned and easy to understand
My experience
I achieved my objective but it took more time than I consider reasonable and I was given some confusing information which proved to be incorrect.

VERY POOR SERVICE.saved by Martin Walker .
I lost a property purchase last year due to Pru taking so long with my pension drawdown. I am now in a situation whereby I have been trying to withdraw funds from a Pru bond since last November and I am now faced with legal action from outside parties due to the Pru. See following correspondence which is pretty unbelievable behaviour from a well known company. I would certainly try and look for an investment company with better customer service if you value your cash.
Hello.Sharon ,
I am receiving no replies to my emails regarding the release of my funds from the above bond.
I have put a complaint in as this matter has been dragging on since November however the complaints dept at the Pru have told me I don't have a bond with you?
I am faced with legal action now due to non payment of a debt not related to Pru but for which i await my own funds from the Pru.
This is my own money I am trying to withdraw what exactly is the problem that Pru have ? A property purchase fell through last year also due to the actions of the.Pru .
Can someone help me out here please or at least respond.?
Regards
John S Worley

I really do not know where to start with this. However, I started the process of trying to access my pension which to start with was fine and understand they have to ensure I have taken advice etc, however, it does not excuse rudeness, being made to feel like a liar when all I want to do is take MY money out of my pension. I have completed the same process with another business and all is now completed. They say contact us through secure messaging so I do and all I get every single time I message is we will be in touch in approx 11 days. This is the third 11 days message I have received.... not anymore I am seeking legal advice as sick of being fobbed off. To say I am cross and unhappy with the way I have been treated is an understatement.

While it took over 1.5 hours on the phone to complete the outcome was swift and took account of the reason for the withdrawl. As I was asked to complain about the length of time it took, a few days later I received a sorry gift from The Pru, which I did not expector request
Failed to treat my terminal mum with respect or dignity
Despicable experience with prudential pensions. Stemmed back before my mum’s diagnosis where they spent years saying they could not find her pension because it was ‘too old.’ Since a terminal diagnosis, which they were told about, she has been given false information and absurd requirements to access her pension. One of these was a HAND WRITTEN letter that they wanted her to write from her hospital bed on a palliative care ward. They have failed to change any of their processes or communication since we informed them of the health condition and from our perspective are deliberately running down the clock. This has included insisting everything is delivered by post. We are utterly disgusted by our experience with them and intend to escalate this to make our story known.

BEWARE - DON'T BE TEMPED
I have been trying to do my first pension drawdown for months this year. It's just IMPOSSIBLE. Customers service is poor, replies are vague, you cannot get anything in writing from them, not even if you send them an internal platform message. They delay you and fob you off with a far too many excuses.
