Finally arrived. Cheap crap, wrong colors, and they’ve been deaf to appeals. They should be ashamed. I really liked the pictured design, but reality is flimsy, undersized cheat metal and plastic.

A Scam—from China and NOT high quality

I got scammed! I did receive the three pairs of earrings I ordered but they are cheap, Chinese junk! Not 925 Sterling Silver, no real gemstones. I got polite replies from customer service in reply to my emails, but don’t know whether to trust them to send a refund. If I pay the return shipping with a tracking number, will I get any money back? Mad at myself for falling for the misleading marketing on Facebook!

made in China and returns must be sent to China!

They misrepresented where there products are made. They are made in China. If you want to return an item they make you return it to China even though USPS showed it came from NJ.
The earrings I bought were about 5x the size in the picture and the setting was in a cheap heavy metal. They sent tiny plastic earring backs for these big earrings. Quality of earrings cheap.

Would give zero stars if possible

Would give zero stars if possible. The jewelry was so cheap and not like the photos. The story made it seem like an American woman would was going out of business - a lie. Also I send back to China which I had to pay for in order to get my money back and still no money returned as of today. They mailed t4h item from the east coast but you have to return to China - DO NOT FALL FOR THIS OR ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY.

SCAM - DO NOT BUY

SCAM - DO NOT BUY. This is from China. Don't fall for the sob story of Mary the artisan closing her shop. Only received half my order. The half I did receive was garbage costume jewelry - not silver or gold as claimed on the website. Got the runaround about the other half of my order and they ignored my complaints about the quality. Had to try to get it resolved through credit card company.

After over a month

After over a month, I received my items. I am underwhelmed by the quality of the items. One ring has a missing "stone". The other "stones" are plastic. If you think that "Mary" is a jewelry maker....nope, this crap comes from China. Do not order from this company!

Do NOT order from this website!!!

Do NOT order from this website!!!! I saw that Mary's Gems was going out of business and so all of her jewelry was greatly discounted. The pieces are not even worth the discount prices! The metals are not real metals, the gems are NOT real gems. I ordered 5 items and they all resemble something you would get out of a gumball machine. If you want to return them you have to mail them to Guangdong Province China!!!! Seriously?? Do not be fooled!

Junk not jewelry - scam

Wish I would’ve checked these reviews out before I fell for this scam. I won’t restate what others have said only confirm that the earrings are junkie, there is no Mary, and I am sorry I ordered from them. Beware and stay away!

This is a fake site! Stealing your personal and financial information

This is a fake site. There is no shop in Mattituck, therefore, not going out of business. There is no Mary. This is not American handmade jewelry by artisan, Mary. The jewelry is coming from China and likely not real given the price points. Switch and bait is a CRIME. So is stealing financial information under the guise of a fake business. BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT BUY!

STEER CLEAR - THIS IS A RUSE!!

I ordered what I thought was a ring that I had seen previously in a well-known albeit pricey on-line vendor catalog. Mary's Gems was advertising it for considerably less due to her 'going out of business sale'. I ordered believing that 'Mary' was the actual artisan of this item who was actually going out of business, and that this was my chance to obtain the coveted ring at a considersble savings. Wrong. Mary doesn't exist. There is no 'going out of business' sale. This is an overseas company. The ring I received bears very little resemblance to the ring advertised. It's not worth my time or money to send the ring back but if my review stops one person from ordering from this company that'll be enough for me. STAY AWAY!!

If I could rate below zero

If I could rate below zero, I would. Like everyone before me, THIS IS A SCAM. The company is in China and there is no where on social media or website that is forthcoming and states so. I didn't find out until I noticed "express shipping" was going to originate in China. I was near NY for 1 week, so thought for certain I could have "express shipping" make it to me there. I immediately reached out to have address changed to my permanent address, the response was that they could do that...wrong. Delayed responses to my emails answered with robo like wording, and then finally stating that they could not change shipping address. Will try to stop payment, and definitely contacting the BBB. STAY AWAY

The pieces are terrible and I am 100%…

The pieces are terrible and I am 100% unhappy. The advertisement made it seem like they were made in NY and were going out of business but the jewelry actually came from Hong Kong. So not worth anything. I am going to seek a full refund.

The quality is not great

The quality is not great. The marketing made it seem like it was a small jewelry designer who was going out of business, but it was a mass produced vendor from Hong Kong. I’m not even sure the pieces are actually silver.

BEWARE, THIS COMPANY IS BAD! STAY CLEAR!

This company is a fraud company. Be aware that on Social Media, they will change their store name to something else and say they are also going out of business. The ring I received today is not the correct size I requested, and it was never $120 down to $37.50 under no circumstances. It isn't worth $37.50, and the design differs significantly from the photo. Made cheaply. Be careful, and please do not order from them. It took three weeks to get here; it was definitely from China and made in China. In addition, the reviews written favorably about the company seem to be scams written by people from the company (whatever it is). It's not a gem ring by any imagination. Stay clear.

Mary's Gems jewelry appears to be made in China

Mary's Gems claims to handcraft jewelry from a studio in Mattituck NY. The silver jewelry is advertised as sterling silver but no hallmark appears on the items and the earrings I purchased appear to be cast from a base metal. I contacted the website to ask for a refund and was directed to return the earrings to the owner's "facility" in China (Yunling Warehouse, 2nd Floor, Building 7, Baicai Niushan Science Park, 46 Weimin Road, Dongguan City, Guangdong Province. Province: Guangdong Province: China Zipcode: 523000 Phone 15992908542). When the "facility" receives the earrings, I will be refunded for the item price but not for the cost of returning the earrings to China.

If I could give this retailer zero…

If I could give this retailer zero stars, I would. First, I ordered 3 pairs of earrings weeks ago. Only one pair was in the box. Additionally, they look like something out of a kid’s party goody bag. Totally, totally cheap. Finally, the “contact” number has been disconnected. I am convinced this is a total ruse.

This place is a scam

This place is a scam. I kept asking them where my order was. And they said it was being shipped by USPS from Hong Kong. I asked why it said they were based in New York on the website and they wouldn’t answer. I asked why the phone number didn’t work that was on their website, again no answer. I had been able to track my order and now when I try to track it it says could not find order. They have about 6 different sites they advertise on Facebook.
