This is so false and the story is not…

This is so false and the story is not true. The jewelry looks like quality with a high price and discounted because supposedly it is declared as real gems. It is nothing but costume jewelry period and I noticed it came from Korea. It is well put together for costume but the price given makes you think you were given a real bargain. I wished I had read this before I even ordered. Warning it is a total fake story.

Dissatisfied customer

I ordered 2 rings and a pair of earrings 3 weeks ago. They never said it was coming from China. Had I known, I never would have ordered them. After reading a lot of negative reviews, I reached out to the l company to cancel it, but they never responded. I also wanted to tell them that I never received a tracking number. I finally received an email 2 weeks ago saying that it was on its way, but they never answered me. I also was unable to track it because it said item can't be found. I finally received them today, and like most of the reviews said, the quality of the jewelry was of poor quality. I never wouldn't have bought any of them if I had seen them in a store. I would be embarrassed to wear them.

Mary's Gems is a Scam

If I could have given this store a 0 I would have. Spent about $132.00 for jewelry in December. Was just junk... could have come from the dollar store. Sent it back less than a week later and still have not received a refund. This company is a scam.

A scam

A scam. The store has been closing at midnight for at least 6 months. Items were not sterling silver and are very cheaply made. Spent money returning items and never refunded. An absolute scam based not in New York but in China.

Junk merchandise, complete scam

This site is a complete scam. Not based in NY or anywhere in the US. Items that arrive are cheap garbage, fake stones, pearls, etc. Not real silver, gold or any precious metal. Phone numbers are non-functional, but they will respond to email eventually. Buyer must pay return postage to China.

After opening the packages, it can be immediately determined that the items are crap and not even worth 1/10th of what you paid. You can get similar quality stuff from a gumball machine. I initiated a return to an address in China using USPS which was the cheapest rate by far, and still around $20 for the small package. Their instructions were followed and I sent them the tracking number. Package arrived back in China after about 14 days. I messaged the seller to issue the refund and got a story about having to clear customs. I waited another 2 weeks and still no refund. I checked tracking and package was shown as awaiting customs clearance. Another message to the seller with a threat to contact credit card company finally produced a partial refund. I asked why not a full refund and they stated there was a "restocking fee" of 15% because they couldn't resell the items. Tracking showed that they had never even picked up the items from customs. I informed them that their return policy shows nothing about a restocking fee and to refund the balance. I opened a case with the credit card company to reverse the remaining amount.

Complete lie!!

Complete lie!!! Complete fraud!!! This is a money grab for awful items. They don't tell you they come from China and you will have to pay to ship it back and have it stuck in customs... This is a terrible company... and I'm being nice. The people associated with this will go to hell for stealing people's money.

BUYER BEWARE

It's fascinating how the "Good" reviews pop up 2-3 days after a bad one is posted.

The products I received are not sterling silver; the pearl is plastic, and the gold plate is gold paint. It is dimestore gumball machine quality.

I did not care for the items I…

I did not care for the items I purchased so I returned them via USPS for $21.00 at my expense and my return has been in customs since April 1. I checked with USPS and he said there is probably duties due to release it, so it probably will never be paid and the package should eventually come back to me in the next 60-90 days. I've tried calling Mary's Gems 2 the ph# listed on her website 416-555-7834. I'd say I have been scammed and will never receive a refund for my purchase. Shame on you Mary!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM MARY'S GEMS!!!

The ring I ordered is a cheap copy, but came quicklyly

The ring I ordered came quickly , was nicely packaged, and is a beautiful design, just like the picture I ordered from...EXCEPT: the stones are GLASS. I don't really care, it looks pretty enough- but the quality is not great. It came from Hong Long, obviously not "handmade in New York" as the site said! After reading all these reviews, I suspect the super positive ones are fake- how hard is it to get some friends to write good reviews? I'm also thinking this was originally a real jewellers website, who did indeed go out of business, and a knock off company either bought it, or just took it over, and they make poor quality copies of the original work- that's certainly what happened in my case.

My new ring from Mary’s Gems is simply stunning. The design is sleek and modern, but it also has a timeless elegance to it. It fits like a dream, and I’ve received so many compliments. The entire buying process was smooth, and the delivery was super fast. Highly recommend!

do not believe any of the 5 star ratings. they are fraudulent. I paid $30 to return and tracking shows it to be stuck in Chinese customs for 3 months. but that is because the vendor has not picked it up. THIS COMPANY SHOULD GO DOWN. The jewelry is laughable. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

Don’t Be Fooled – This Is Not a Small NY Jewelry Brand

I just want to add that the same thing happened to me. The whole story about a small New York jewelry store closing down is not true. Once I received my order, I was so disappointed—the items looked nothing like the pictures of the ones I ordered. The quality was extremely poor, and it became clear to me that these items were not handmade in New York, but mass-produced in China.

I also messaged the seller and told her that if I had known the items were made in China, I would have thought twice before buying. I honestly believed this was a woman trying to retire and close her small shop—but sadly, it feels more like a dishonest marketing story to attract buyers.

The return process is a hassle. You don’t get your money back unless the item is returned and she receives the tracking number, which means paying for international shipping—an extra cost many people wouldn’t want to deal with. Out of the $100 I paid, she only refunded me $30.

And here’s the worst part: the gold on the silver started to fade after just a few wears. The quality is so poor that I’m actually afraid to wear the pieces—I’m convinced it’s the lowest quality jewelry I’ve ever purchased.

I wish the seller had been honest and transparent. It’s really sad that we can’t trust what we see on social media anymore. Please be careful—I’m sharing this to help others avoid going through the same experience. It really feels like a scam, and it’s frustrating that these sellers can keep changing brand names and reappearing.

Do not buy from this scam (possibly Chinese) company

This company is not what it appears & I wish I had read trustpilot before I placed my first order. Most if the items don’t look the same as the pictures on Instagram & when I tried to go back to IG to look again I couldn’t find the site only a web address. They were not shipped from NY so it’s not a small business owned by a woman who lovingly makes jewelry for a living . I’m sure the pieces are being made in China & I can’t believe I was scammed by the story that was placed on this site. She keeps saying she is closing her store “at midnight” so items are significantly discounted but that is not the case. The site never shuts down but another customer says the site is under another name. The items are cheap Chinese junk & I’m sorry I didn’t read reviews first.
