I ordered 2 rings and a pair of earrings 3 weeks ago. They never said it was coming from China. Had I known, I never would have ordered them. After reading a lot of negative reviews, I reached out to... See more

Finally arrived. Cheap crap, wrong colors, and they’ve been deaf to appeals. They should be ashamed. I really liked the pictured design, but reality is flimsy, undersized cheat metal and plastic.
Saw a Facebook ad stating they were an American company (their exact words); they are not! They sent a tracking link that is fraudulent. There was no origin location or actual freight logistics prov... See more
Just spent several hours trying to get all the documents needed to return two orders. Bottom line: it is very expensive over $150- $175 to return 10 items that weigh 1.5 lbs Received est from USPS.... See more
My new necklace from Mary’s Gems has…
My new necklace from Mary’s Gems has quickly become my favorite piece of jewelry. It’s elegant, understated, and perfect for everyday wear. What I really appreciate is the quality—it feels sturdy and well-made, but it’s not heavy or uncomfortable. It’s rare to find something that looks this good and is so practical to wear daily.

Have to return products to China and pay for shipping. It costs more to ship than to just keep what doesn't look like what is on the website.
Mary's Gems is a SCAM!
Mary's Gems is a scam. The entire website is a lie. The woman shown in the picture is not running a company called Mary's Gems, and she is not going out of business. NONE of the jewelry you receive from Mary's Gems is sterling silver, and NONE of the gems or pearls are natural stone, pearls or even glass. They are plastic. The main problem is if you dispute the charge, the fake Hong Cong company will respond to, as in my case, Citibank Visa Card, and unfortunately Citibank (Costco card) will accept fake company Mary's Gems explanation and reverse the disputed charge. When I attempted to return the jewelry, the return address was not real, so I could not return the jewelry. The Mary's Gems email address is fake. The telephone number of 1-599-290-8642 is fake, as is the other phone number you will find on their site, 1-416-555-7834. I wish I had seen that last number before I ordered because we all know 555 numbers are fake and are reserved for Hollywood. I am upset at Citibank because I disputed the charge within a half hour of placing the order when I saw on my Citibank app indicating that the goods were coming from Hong Kong. As soon as I saw that, I researched Mary's Gems and saw many internet sites indicating that they are a scam. And while Citibank did issue a temporary reversal, they removed the reversal and charged my account after the Scam company Mary Gem's sent a scam letter with fake information on it and a fake return address and fake emails and fake phone numbers. The fraud department at Citibank bought it hook, line and sinker. So good lesson for me, I guess. Scam companies are getting better and know that all they have to do is scam Citibank, which is apparently pretty easy to do with a fake response letter. So when it comes to fraud, understand that you are truly on your own. The jewelry, when you get it, looks just a little bit better than what you will get out of the 25 cent vending machines for children. But don't let your children wear this jewelry, as I am sure it will give them a rash!
This web site is a scam
This web site is a scam! Much as others have written, the product is not as represented on the web site. Site says items can be returned but there is no info on how to return an item. Web site is not active and phone number listed is not in service. The person who rated her experience a 5 star is lying. If anyone knows how to reach this company and/or get your money back please post here.
SCAM WEBSITE NOT GOING OUT OF BUSINESS…
SCAM WEBSITE NOT GOING OUT OF BUSINESS THE JEWELRY IS CHEAP AND NOT ACCURATELY REPRESENTED IN WEBSITE. ITEMS WERE MISSING NO WAY TO CALL NUMBER IT IS OUT OF SERVICE, EMAIL DOESN'T WORK! AVOID! ALL REVIEWS ARE BOTS JEWELRY IS JUNK
All jewelry that I received was fake
All the jewelry I received was fake. None of it appeared to be the same as what I thought I was purchasing. Not one thing is handmade by Mary in New York. It is straight from China. The moonstone ring I ordered has a fake pearl glued to the middle. The other rings were described or shown as vintage jewelry, but when I opened the package, they were all shiny/new-looking in plastic bags.
Cheap poor imitation items
Not silver or gold plated. Not even stone! It's resin. This is cheap jewelry that wouldn't even be sold for half the "sale" price in a costume jewelry store.
These jewelry items are very cheap
These jewelry items are very cheap. Cheap looking and cheaply made.
I got excited to order seeing Mary was a designer out of New York…but the items came from China.
None of the silver was stamped with 925 nor was the gold realistic. I respect we all have our tastes but these were not for me.
I went to mail them back but because they insisted on a tracking number the cost was too high (of which I now think it was used as a deterrent). I gave a couple items to friends that enjoyed them, brought the rest home to try on. I dropped the moonstone ring on my linoleum floor and after a bit realized the stone was missing. I searched everywhere down on my hands and knees but no luck.
Now I have a ring with no stone. TERRIBLE!!
Buyer Beware!
I received my order of 2 pairs of earrings and 3 rings and was HORRIFIED and so DISAPPOINTED!!! I was not expecting real silver or gold for the low price...but I at least expected them to look as convincingly good as the pictures posted! Instead, all the pieces I ordered were clearly mass produced, machine made, smaller in scope than what was pictured and made from the cheapest material that is possible! The pieces come from China and look so shinny, small and cheap that I would never wear them and would be too embarrassed to give them as gifts! I have seen better for free in a box of Cracker Jacks or cereal! I cannot believe that any of the other posts that rave about these pieces are legitimate! We will see if they post this one!!!
These were not custom crafted at all.
These were not the best quality and I did not know they came from China. Now in order to return because some of the colors are off and the ear insert wire is to fat, i have to send to china! I will let you know what that cost is. I was BIG TIME FOOLED. They have Trust Pilot on their site saying nothing but great things.
This jewelry is not sterling silver 925…
This jewelry is not sterling silver 925 as advertised. I checked with local jeweler. Maybe sterling -plated. I like the 3 same rings I received for me and two daughters. Two pairs of earrings look especially cheap. I will not bother to return the two earrings as the cost to return is most likely more than 50% refund.
It’s all coming from China. Mary’s Gems=China.
Do not buy!!
Do not buy!!! Company is based out of China & when jewelry arrived, it looked like cheap plastic AND they only sent 3 out of the 4 items I'd ordered. In order to return the items, I have to mail what I received back to China & they will only refund me the amount minus shipping. COMPLETE RIP-OFF!!
Don’t waste money, don’t waste your time. What you see is not what you get.
The actual jewelry is nothing like what you see in the pictures. The sizes are off and the qualities is cheap. Don’t waste your time. Don’t waste your money.
SCAM company tells you after purchase to return to CHINA
As many other reviews have observed, this company is a SCAM -- DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I reported to my credit card company and they have cancelled my card # (inconvenient but better than getting more fake charges to it). Credit card company advised that requiring a RETURN TO CHINA when company's original promo said they were in New York, is NOT LEGITIMATE. When I complained via email to "Mary's Gems" they offered a 30% refund WITHOUT returning the products. I decided to appeal to my credit card company's Fraud Dept. and they are giving me a provisional 100% credit while investigating the SCAM. The lesson here is to check reviews online of any company you plan to order from. BTW, the many positive reviews that they post to try to raise their avverage rating are obviously phony. Read enough of them and it will be obvious.
Don’t fall for this marketing ploy!
Don’t fall for this marketing ploy!! Wish I had looked at reviews before I bought this junk from China! Some of the pieces are better than others, but most of it is just cheaply made junk jewelry, and it took forever to come… Not at all like the description or the pictures… Run don’t walk!!
Deceitful Company
I feel stupid for falling for the pitch that this was a local company going out of business. It is a huge company in China, going under many names. It took forever for them to send me the wrong thing and, even though I send photos of the item I selected and the one I received, they insist I received the item I ordered. If I could give no stars, I would. Please do not order from this company. They said I could mail the item back (to China) at my expense, which would wipe out the amount the plastic earring cost. I will never wear them.
MISLEADING
I find it interesting that it states that the jewelry is made in NY however i just received a shipping notice from China, I would have NEVER bought the product made in China. What a disappointment thinking I was supporting USA made.
Never received my earrings
Never received my earrings. Sent to the wrong address. No sign of my package at the address where tracking email reports delivering my package. Should have read negative reviews before trying to do business with this shady outfit.
Each and every detail is flawless.
The perfect gift was this necklace. The recipient was thrilled and loves it.
There is no Mary and there are no gems
There is no Mary and there are no gems. Facebook should not be facilitating this scam. I'm ashamed to have fallen for it - was off FB for four years, and just popped on to reconnect with friends: "Mary's" ad was forwarded to my feed. I see now that it is all a huge fraud. "Mary's Gems" abuses the trust we have in our social networks. Reporting the company to MasterCard. They won't stay in business if they don't get paid.
