Continual bad delivery service

Continual bad delivery service. Often long and late delivery, regularly damaged/spilled/missing food or wrong order. Terrible customer service and limited or no refunds for missing items!

Disappointed/Angry

On two occasions it took over an hour for my order to be delivered. Both locations were less than 10 mins away from me and had a premium delivery fee.

First time I complained as food was cold and the driver came to the door with his dressing gown on. Said he was called in as a fill in last minute.

I was advised I would receive a credit of $5 which is a joke considering the food was inedible. I was never able to use the credit.

I didn’t even attempt to ask for a credit the second time but my grandson couldn’t eat the McDonald’s delivered an hour after it had been prepared. I know this as I rang McDonalds to see if it had been picked up.

There’s no clear way to enquire when a delivery is taking an exceptionally long time or when the expected time changes. The number you eventually find is not in SA and the operators are generic and insincere with their responses.

Due to these reasons and also noting some of my favourite places are no longer using menulog app I will be seeking alternatives in the first instance.

The most important part of delivery is…

The most important part of delivery is to make sure it is to the correct address. All drivers should knock on the door. Some merely drop off at the door without knocking. I have had orders not arrive at all, and have had two orders delivered to me that belonged to somebody else. So drivers please knock on door and hand delivery to the person who opens the door. Thanks.

Terrible service

Terrible service. Had 3 different deliveries not show up and marked as delivered, (cameras at the front shows they never showed up) and even more deliveries incorrect or given someone else’s order all together.

My experience with Menulog

This is my experience with Menulog using their app.

I order a coffee and a Pizza Toasty through the app which was easy enough to do from the restaurant San Churro's. First issue was with the delivery where the driver delivered my order to the wrong house, a common issue where the driver is not paying attention to the maps and stops at a house around the corner thinking he has arrived. When my order said delivered on the app and to give a review, I gave a one star review stating I didn't receive my order! Thankfully my neighbour did come around to my door with the order not too long after. Sadly because I gave that review first up, I was no longer able to go back and review the whole experience that option was no longer available.

Second issue nothing is worse than a mouthful of coffee grounds near the end of your coffee. I went on the app and selected an option about the food quality and I was offered an instant refund for the coffee. Fair enough but it would have been nice to have given a reason.

Third issue the Toasty was lacking ingredients and not worth $14.95 you would expect a Toasty at that price to be! The crust was so hard I just couldn’t eat it and warming it up made it worse. Tried to put my complaint through the app like I did the coffee where I was no longer allowed that option since getting the refund for the coffee. Seems I needed to click both items at the same time. However, being fair I had not eaten the toasty yet and not thinking it was going to be bad. So no refund for the toasty which I felt I deserved not being able to eat it.

I wrote complaint via a form on Menulog’s website where I received a reply by email that there was nothing further they could do with the information they had. Whatever that meant. Seems with a refund already given, even tho only for one item, they could not further compensate me. Just an apology for my experience. I replied I was not happy with that and they just said sorry nothing more they could do.

Out of pure disappointment and risk of this sort of thing happening again I will no longer order from Menulog and I deleted my account.

Service Gone Downhill

The service from Menulog has gone downhill quite noticeably recently. I've had some experiences that were far from satisfactory (including, primarily, how they were handled by Menulog's customer service) and can safely say that it's pretty obvious you are cutting corners on delivery and being far from transparent about what's going on. I've had customer service complaints that have been flat-out ignored and had staff play me for some kind of idiot and cut me off from chats that were certainly not resolved. We have been loyal (and very regular) customers for some years now and do not feel like that business relationship has been valued at all. We had a recent incident where some clown of a driver didn't even pick up the order, but marked it as so. We followed their whole movements on the map and knew that they hadn't gone to the restaurant, but had nothing but evasive answers from your totally disrespectful customer service staff, who flat-out refused to admit what was going on and kept telling us to wait for the order. We've also noticed that customer chat responses often come from a name on the email address that does not match the name of the person who is supposedly handling the chat (I can send you screen shots if you don't believe me). I think it's fairly obvious to say that your business model hasn't been working out recently - and that your average person isn't stupid enough to not notice it. Sort something out before your reputation goes to complete shit and you lose your company.

THIEVES!!!

THIEVES!!!
Ordered 2 dishes for $54 from a popular Asian chain store.
Food never arrived but was collected from the store as we rang them to see what was going on. The food I'm assuming became the drivers dinner as he/she knows there'd be no repocussions.
Menulog messed us around for 2 days with robot chat. In the end a human got back to us and told us no refunds, delivered or not.
Absolute scumbag company. Never to be trusted and my partner and I will never use, nor recommended menulog to anyone.

Three hours and still no food

Three hours and still no food. Have tried contacting Menulog through the chat and it's bloody useless. The app has said "nearly there" for more than 2 hours and hasn't changed in that whole time. It's hard to believe that a company could be SO bad at the one thing they do. Just terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE service.
