Midas on 8530Michigan street is a rip off. I took my car there d/t no heat on 1/16/25 Per the store manager Nate stated that I needed a thermostat in addition my my front control arm bearings were going bad. I also would need blend doors replaced. I agreed to the work and would return to get my blend door replace total 1510.39. Nate also verbalized that it would charge me 703. to replaced the blend doors upon return. So, I dropped the car back on 1/24/25 to get the blend door fixed. Only for them to tell me on 1/25/25 that the blend doors were on back order. As told on the phone by Tom. 1/27/25 I call to speak to Nate with an update only for him to tell me that now it would cost me 2600 d/t an HVAC problem as they looked under the dash again. I never authorized another diagnostic and now there's a broken VAC and blend door broke problem I am a travel nurse and the audacity of trying to rob someone (a woman) out 1900 more dollars when I was originally just waiting on the blendoor. I declined as this was not the orginal situation and if you looked at it once why would you go into agian. Moral of the story got my car and still have no heat. Very bad customer service

The Midas poeple in Quakertown are great they take care of my cars and i Allways get special treatment they do a great job and they’d service is well done ani am so satisfied and now to top it of got they’d credit card congratulations Kathy and Don for making me feel so safe

This Midas shop ripped me off. Bought the wrong part for my car and then tried to charge me again to buy the correct part without giving me a refund for the wrong part. When trying to return the wrong part, they wouldn't take it. I tried disputing with my credit card and they fought me on it claiming that they honored their warranty. At the end, I had to pay for a repair shop to do the correct job and was out $973. Stay away. They don't know what they are doing and do all they can to rip you off.

Totally unbelievable, someone just called me from Midas, he was trying to be smart or I might say stupid! Hope you guys read all my reviews about this horrible tech shop. They screwed up two of my sensor by just replacing my tires and never told us about it. After my review they decided to call me, again the person who called pretended to be smart but truly tried to be stupid. Good luck to all of you if decide to take your car there. An apology will be good at least after expending $1800 and change for four tires, screwed up two tires sensors and had to take it to Lexus to expend another $1000, truly ashamed the way your handle business, treat clients and take advantage of them. Why did you call, because of my reviews?, instead of apologizing and accepting your mistakes, your bad service and poor customer service. Wow, totally unacceptable and wondering if you will do it to a family member! God bless you all!

My heater wasn’t working just stopped blowing hot air , no leaking no weird noises no smells took to Midas as had other work done over years bit pricey but bring a elderly lady don’t know much about cars . WS told needed a new thermostat and gaskets and inlets and outlets and I be just fine charging me 795. What could I do? It’s winter in the northeast I’m also disabled can walk in the cold so I said OK. Left car next morning called. They said nope it’s not that now we need another $1300. You need a heater core I didn’t know what was really going on at that point I paid the 7925 and brought Card back home so I can get to my doctors next day went into car and the airbag light is suddenly on question them about it. they said they had nothing to do with it also said they now wanted $2000 to fix my heater. I’m at a loss but I know something is very wrong today. I went to a local garage. They said they did a flush said I don’t need a core but did notice the cabin filter is missing. Meanwhile, I have no heat. Nobody knows what suddenly happened really lost faith in people through this..

Buckle up because this is going to be a long one! On 11/25/2024 my jeep was towed here as they had just completed an oil change and it was overheating. It wasn’t finished until 12/9/2024. It was not driven again until Friday morning, 12/13/2024. My daughter called and said it was overheating again. I once again had it towed here since they had it for 2 weeks and clearly didn’t check everything out. Didn’t hear another word from them until 12/21/2024 to tell me what was wrong. I did a little digging and found out everything that needed to be replaced SHOULD HAVE been replaced in the 2 weeks it was there. My warranty company denied the claim as the new issue was due to improper repairs, clearly stating this was on Midas, which I had already found out. When I let them know this was on them to repair the lies started….and there were several! Finally contacted corporate and after a week they are taking care of the repairs as it was the fault of the people that work there.
I was told this yesterday. At 7:35 this morning I get a call from the “district manager” and I won’t even take you down this rabbit hole. I hung up on this person and called the gentleman from corporate and told him the district manager just called to tell me I had to pay the cost….and we’re talking almost a full engine because that’s how bad they screwed it up. Corporate guy says the district manager is sitting right here with me. This proved to both corp & the DM that these people are indeed lying. The best part is the person that called. Claiming to be the DM was yelling at me and telling me I’m trying to commit fraud and also called me a lying crook…all the while he’s LITERALLY lying and threatening me.
We’ve gone here for years for oil changes and simple repairs.
Corporate handled everything perfectly and towed my car to another location due to these brain dead idiots.
At this point, I wouldn’t take a 10 speed bike in there for repairs! Be wary and go somewhere else!

Was overcharged tremendously. At mitis on 90th and center in Omaha Nebraska. Had a mass sensor put in and was charged $400 for the part and $100 for labor plus $50 for I don’t know what total came to $550. I went to auto stores and did pricing and parts sold for $129 Nissan wanted $239. I was charged 400. and Robbie was very diss. Interested in my problem when I talk to him about it. He gave me the biggest runaround. I have been going to this mitis for 15 years and have never had any problems, but I will not be back at this one mark up on a part three times as much as it was supposed to be. I am very disappointed in this Midas. It is under new management and needs to have a review. I feel like I should get at least a partial refund.

On 11/20/24 we discovered a leak in our RAM 1500 truck. We dropped on the truck to Midas in Springfield who diagnosed a cracked thermostat housing. Midas replaced the housing for $672.17 and we drove 4 hours into Virgina when my truck overheated and was leaking coolant. I was stuck on the side of the road in rural VA. I added coolant and made my way to Williamsburg where Williamsburg Automotive confirmed that the thermostat housing was filled with an excessive amount of silicone sealant used to install the new housing. The excessive sealant that Midas used was even coming through the weep holes. Williamsburg Automotive had to replace the thermostat housing which I paid an additional $345.64 (see both attached invoices.) I also have the housing Midas installed. I called Midas in Springfield 2x's and stopped by with the housing and both the bill from the competent shop and the bill which was more than double from Midas. I was told someone from their Reginal office would contact me but that never happened. THESES GUYS ARE CLUELESS! Go to a real automotive shop and save yourself money, tow expenses and a headache of dealing with subpar work and ZERO customer service.

I would strongly recommend avoiding the Midas on Kirkwood Highway in Delaware. This shop incorrectly repaired my brakes, resulting in thousands of wasted dollars. They refuse to take any responsibility.

I have contacted Midas corporate and the Better Business Bureau and the business does not respond. They have an F rating with the BBB because they do not respond to complaints.

Avoid them at all costs!

Jake and Zach in Shawnee, KS give an honest quote and do excellent repairs. Jake is one of the best mechanics in Shawnee, and we trust him to do all the work on our car. They are very professional.

Had a flat. Midas fixed it for $46. 2 days later same flat. Midas fixed it for $28. This morning 4 days later same flat. What the heck do I do know??? Merry Christmas. Not

Midas gave me an estimate for coils and sparkplugs totaling $2200. They wanted to charge me $70 for each sparkplug when subaru sells the same plug for $27 each. They also quoted me $400 for each coil totaling $1600 for 4 coils. The subaru dealership lists coils for my car at $118 each. And that does not include labor. Midas also said I need 4 new tires and the treads are 7/32 front and 5/32 rear. Total scam. They must have thought that i was an idiot. I told them I would not let them work on my car and left.

1 star only because, you can't go lower than that. I had an appointment with Midas on the 21st of December. To have my brakes checked. They did the inspection, and came back to me with a estimate over $ 2200.00 dollars. After a little bit of a discussion they said they could use non GMC parts and still have a life time warranty. There was a Firestone store just across the street of Ina and Meredith. Here in Tucson AZ, so I thought I would go and check with them. The guy at Firestone said that my truck as a recall on the things I need for my truck. If I went to the GMC dealership they will replace everything for free. I just have to make an appointment with them.

I would like to say thank you to one of your Staff member by the name of Tebogo Masetlwa for exceptional customer service, she's very polite , helpful and professional and she knows the midas products very well big up Tebogo ..keep up the good work .

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a repair shop. I came in for squeaking brakes and a creaking noise, but the manager charged me $900 for a control arm replacement he *knew* wouldn’t fix the problem, which he later admitted. Then, they tried to charge me another $1,800 for unnecessary repairs. Despite reaching out to corporate and upper management multiple times, they refused to take any responsibility or even reach out to resolve the issue. I’ve been a loyal Midas customer for years, but after this disgraceful lack of accountability and honesty, I will never go back. It’s clear Midas prioritizes profits over integrity and customer satisfaction—avoid them at all costs.

I brought my vehicle into Midas because my brakes needed attention.

After dropping my vehicle off, Oscar called and gave me a price over the phone to replace the rear brake pads and rotors as well as replace the front brake pads.

I authorized the work verbally over the phone, agreeing to the price for the four brake pads and rear rotors.

Later, I received a phone call from someone else stating that the vehicle was ready, and that the rear brake pads and rotors were completed. When I inquired about the front, I learned that nothing was done on the front.

Wait what? What happened to the front? The price I agreed to was for all four brake pads and rear rotors, not just the rear.

In my follow up calls with Oscar, I found him to be rude and condescending. Oscar stated that there was a recording of the phone call available but not until the following day because there was no manager available

My advice is to avoid this shop at all costs. Repair shops like this contribute to the negative reputation that repair shops have earned.

I took my van into Midas on 34 Avenue in Edmonton to put on my winter tires and an oil change. The next day, there was a huge puddle of oil under my van. I took it back and was told it was from a faulty oil filter. Supposedly they changed it. I noticed that the van was now leaking oil. I took it back to Midas and was told it was a leaky seal. Midas blamed it on the manufacturer. I took the van to Dodge the next day. They found the wrong oil filter for my make was installed so the oil wasn't actually being filtered. Dodge fixed the problem. MIDAS has refused to refund the cost of the fix.
