Terrible terrible company

Terrible terrible company. Don't make this mistake, don't switch to them. I made this decision unfortunately and I have no working sim, I'm abroad, can't use any data . They ruined my holiday plus they keep lying to my face it'll be done today. It's been 5 days and nothing happened. Just lies. AVOID

AVOID

Still not sure if it's a scam. I couldn't activate my SIM so phoned up and after 15 mins they agreed to send a new SIM. One week later phoned again, 10 mins while operator looked at my account and they then cut me off (no, I had not been rude in any way). Phoned a few days later and I was left on the line for another 10 mins. I give up. It's probably cost me more to phone than it was to pay the first month. AVOID, it's just not worth it. Grrr!

Horrible behaviour, data throttling, As bad as three now

i left 3 for lebara as they would regularly disconnect me from the data network even if i had 50gb of data left. 3 have some sort of data throttling software in place. so if you use too much even if within your data allowance, I'd still get black listed for days suddenly.

lebara was fine for months. now suddenly since merger between Vodafone and 3, lebara is doing the same thing.

i have 22gb left of my 100gb but i have been booted off the data network and can't access any data. i check lebara app still showing 22gb left. still have 10 days left before my data renews, but can't access any data.

this is scumbaggy behaviour by these companies.

will probably cancel all my sims and just use wifi going forward. fed up of being abused by companies. every company behaves likes filthy rats nowadays. always looking to scam their customers. it's such a disgusting country now. greedy capitalism.

Changed network from EE to Lebara

Changed network from EE to Lebara. All calls now go to EE voicemail. Have been trying to resolve this issue. When I call Lebara they tell me to wait another 48 hours before "settings take effect". I am posting this review after contacting them again and speaking with a customer service person who was inappropriately assertive as I tried to understand what he was telling me.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICES PT. 3

Issues STILL not resolved, STILL unable to use international mins, the complaints manager decided to close the complaint BEFORE the resolution was found, having promised me HE would contact me within a few days with a resolution.

Even the complaints manager was rude to me, the call was recorded so they know I wasn’t being rude to them, merely voicing my frustrations.

And when contacting customer services and explaining the issue for the MILLIONTH time and being promised AGAIN that it will be sorted, NOTHING.

Apparently some data files to make international calls were not transferred over from giffgaff when porting the number over to Lebara. I’ve been with every network provider under the sun and NEVER has something like this happened.

I also have to beg them for a refund every month as I being charged the wrong amount, when any respectable company would either 1) amend the direct debit amount or 2) automatically refund you the difference.

Don’t join this terrible company as they truly don’t care for or respect their customers in the slightest.

Wi-fi calling not supported before Android 12

As we have no signal in our house (on any network) we rely on wi-fi calling, which Lebara claim to support. The reality is they only support from Android 12 and I'm on v11. After sseveral calls to customer services I was eventually told it won't work on my phone yet it does on 2 previous networks (including Vodaphone). Without wi-fi calling we don't have a connection so it's very disappointing to find out after I've signed up that it isn't supported. Lebara needs to be up-front with this restriction.

Terrible service

Had 1 sim really good price order another a few months later waited a week for the second sim never arrived I rung Customer Services they said there must’ve been a delivery issue and they are sending another sim which will arrive within 48 hours four days later still no delivery I rang Customer Services and they said we will send another Sim out. It hasn’t been posted.

Very misleading on the roaming

Very misleading on the roaming. It mentioned more than 100 countries there in the plan, but when I travelled to Australia and China, there was no data. They explained to me the list of countries are only for calls, but it is directly under the plan where data was mentioned. I think they are just intended to mislead people to buy their product, but not providing the service. Very disappointed.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE - STILL WAITING

Bought a SIM card on promotion from MSE, ported my number over to Lebara from Voda. Had issues with my plan not being linked to my phone number, CS agents found it incredibly difficult to resolve and some said it wasn't possible to connect the plan to the number and there's nothing I can do.

I have never had such a bad experience with customer services. I had to call up every single day to try and resolve the issue, each time having to explain myself, each time getting a different response from each agent.

Finally, a supervisor got on the phone and was able to resolve the matter for me within minutes, something which took weeks of going round the houses was able to be resolved in mins by the right person.

I have now been charged full price for a plan that should have been on promotional price, I cannot use my international mins which are part of my plan. I have called every day of this week to try and resolve what should be a simple matter, each time I have to explain the whole thing over again, each time I get told someone will contact you back, and nobody does.

Never have customer service agents hung the phone up on me when I haven't even been rude, they just didn't want to try and assist me anymore.

I am regretting joining this network despite the line quality etc. being fine. The unhelpful CS agents are the worst I have encountered, with 90% of them lacking empathy and willingness to help, and they are extremely rude and unprofessional.

STILL waiting for this SIMPLE matter to be resolved, it has already taken DAYS!!!

Carrier and roaming setting issue

Moved from EE to Lebara, iMessage and FaceTime doesnt work. Spent 2 hours with apple and the next day they told me theres a block on Lebrars side to do with international SMS which needs to be enabled.
Lebara said its a problem with apple.
I was able to add 2 non Lebara number to my apple ID so this proves lebara are talking absolute rubbish.

Lebara support then tell me it takes 3 days t move a number over. so i called EE, EE said everything has ported over fine and its a lebara issue.

Lebara take no responsibility so im cancelling after 1 day of being with this crap network. Support are useless and will try blame apple and your previous network rather than acknowledge their own issue

WiFi Calling Doesn't Work!

We have been with Lebara for a while on our Motorola MotoG8 Android 11 mobiles. We now need WiFi Calling & I already have this feature working on my other SIM card in this same dual card phone with 3Mobile. After 3 attempts through Lebara Support, they now tell me that my device is not compatible even though my device is compatible with 3Mobile. We're not happy with this outcome as my wife & I need to use WiFi Calling now that we no longer have a landline. We shouldn't have to buy new expensive phones to be able to use this feature with Lebara when it already works fine on 3Mobile network... disappointing!

Well 1 STAR because there's no zero stars.
Be aware of this Lebara scheme ;
I dont have a contract i buy manually a bundle meaning im intittled to buy it when i want is not a contract is buying a service but im told by Lebara costumer service that automatically it will renew himself ?????
Wait a second i dont have a monthly contract i buy a service manually that last 30 days but its me that choose when i want yo buy it .
But gets even better one day BEFORE expiry my bundle Lebara automatically charge me the same bundle i bought previously without my permission .
Meaning its FRAUD im being charged a service whithout being provided the service itself because didnt expire yet .
How can this be possible ???
Again i dont have a contract !!!! Its a bundle there's no subscription or fix payments thats why you buy it when you want but still Lebara charge you like a monthly contract.
Dont fall in this shit cancel Lebara payments in your bank app and only switch it on when YOU decide to buy the bundle not LEBARA charging you 24 hours in advance and without your authorization.
Dont use the APP cancel erase it frpm your phone if you buy bundles they will take your money without your permission this is illegal AGAIN i buy a bundle not a monthly contract.
Well here we go again 7 days as passed and still no refund .its appalling and outrageous you scam clients than you're caught and still manage to screw up AGAIN .
Really !!!!

I had switched to Lebara a year and a half ago and everything was smooth up till end of May 2025 when I noticed that my data was disappearing from fourth of June till fourth of July. I have spent on Lebara £75 just to add data so I was buying plans to have data. The best was that in four days time in three days time, sorry I’ve used 50 giga data. Is that possible? Lebara is coming the customer with the data and when I made a complaint they gave me five giga data back then all of a sudden that’s gone And on my account I’ve got extra 20 gig and after 2 1/2 weeks that I was waiting for someone to contact me they decide to contact me on Sunday 2 o’clock just before lunch with my family to tell me that I have to keep my mobile data off when I am on Wi-Fi They think they talking to a child even my children on TikTok they don’t use that much data they reinstalled some of my data back even though I explained that I need to travel and I need data on my phone. I haven’t been planning to change network but now definitely I’m leaving Lebar I’ve been with Vodafone with sky with EE with O2 never ever ever. I use more than 30 GB per month of data. I always have spare data in the end and Laura 50 GB the disappearing in three days what is your secret? Lara? Tell it to the customers guys go away don’t go near

Sim swap by scammers just asking for…

Sim swap by scammers just asking for pac code, no proper i.d. Failure on lebara security, I should need to authorise.
They said extra security put in place, but happened again. UNBELEIVABLE And lebara if you want to contact me don't call my number it is still with the scammers.
OK on Day 3 still waiting for lebara to return my number,multiple checks to ensure my i.d. when asking for details where was that security on the number porting. Yesterday told the team would contact me in a couple of hours.. Nothing..contacted today by chat told 48 to 72 hours. TERRIBLE SECURITY AND SERVICE............................................................

Day 9 still no return of my number. No contact from lebara for days. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED ABOUT THE CUSTOMER SERVICE PEOPLE. DON'T USE.
