we usually have no big issue with Moneris. sometimes we are not aware what we can put through or not. like if someone pays by debit card we cannot refund on a debit card if item has been returned. maybe we should check with Moneris & see if that can be applied. thanks

Even when we made mistakes by sending incorrect information, they quickly got back to us and assisted in filling out the right documents. We've been working with Tammy, and she has been excellent—very patient, understanding, and supportive throughout the process. Nicole is also involved in doing the validation to make sure we have correct banking information , Great service overall!"

I am running a franchise restaurant in London, Ontario.
When Moneris sent me a new terminal 3 months ago to replace the out dated old one, gift card function was not activated in the new terminal.
Not a problem, people makes mistake. Call the hot line then found out their sales department was by-passed. As a result, required authorization was missing.
Not a problem. I signed the proper application form and it was at least a month ago.
Just off the phone with Moneris. Guess what. My gift card request was cancelled by unknow reason.
Three months has gone by and I still have no gift card function in my new terminal. During that 3 months, so many calls made to their hotline and hours and hours time on the phone with them.
If you have choice, DO NOT use Moneris.
They will definitely steal your money. If you have a business dont sign up with them! They used to be much better years ago before Covid but now their service is 100 times worst.

Let's start with a big picture. A corporation account exists, shareholders changed hands and a request to move deposit account from one bank to another bank account requested.
After two weeks the"Risk" department gets involved asking for a void cheque. Void cheque is provided and then they say we are closing the request as new merchant account must be opened as owners changed. Really! You could not have said that earlier and in what century are you providing service? Imagine now the company has 10 owners and every month one owner changes so you want to open a new account everytime one owner is selling shares? Do you understand how unreasonable and backward this process is? Well I guess when two dinosaur of Canadian banking system create this the result could not be any better. Obviously they don't even understand the basics of why businesses are created as Corporation so issues like this is easily handled
transparent to shareholders but I guess not with these old, tired and backward looking firms. The representative when I explained that account is a corporate account just brushed me off saying take it or leave it.
If I could give this a zero star I would. I am moving my business to newer and more consumer oriented companies that understand the dynamics of todays small business.

A customer of Moneris for over 10 years, a business decision was made 4 months ago to stop accepting credit cards so we cancelled our Payment processing account. This was simple to do and without a charge. In all 10 years we never had a bad experience with Moneris.
Now our business has decided to accept credit cards again we resigned up. I have to say the process was so simple. Shair was amazing. He was professional and helpful every step. Not that it was the least difficult. It was super efficient and easy. I had to call customer service once because I had overlooked an email that went to my Junk Folder and they were awesome as well.
I have had nothing but great experiences dealing with Moneris for over 10 years with a cancellation and a re-engagement. I was actually amazed at their new processing system. I put through a credit card payment yesterday swiftly and without any issues. Thank you Shair and the team at Moneris for supporting my business with your services.
The worst tranaction processor in the industry; they over charge, terrible customer service, outrageous fees. Use Chase or Square but avaod !oneris.
One star is too high of a rating for Moneris.
Owned my own retail business for over 20 years and just recently sold the business and need to cancel my contract with them. I also cancelled many other services etc with absolutely no issues.
