I have had my cover with GEM for a few years now, and last week called them for the first time. Excellent service and prompt action from everyone. On my way to Southsea from home and…
On my way to Southsea from home and suddenly smoke everywhere and horrible noises from the engine. Pulled into side road and after phone call to GEM within an hour I was on my way back home with car on recovery truck. Driver was great, the truck clean and he couldnt be more helpful

I found a screw in the tread of the…
I found a screw in the tread of the rear nearside wheel. With the pressure down to 15 (normal 35) I considered it too dangerous to drive to a tyre depot.
When I phoned GEM Assist the lady answering talked through the problem then agreed with my assessment. She forecast that help would arrive within two hours. Three quarters of an hour later a recovery wagon arrive, took my car and me to a tyre depot of my choice four mile away where it was repaired for £20.

Having just driven home yesterday with…
Having just driven home yesterday with my first hybred vehicle Day one and it is my first trip with the new car that will not start. I called GEM and was immediately told assistance would be with me in one hour. Thirty five minutes later an engineer arrived I was overwhelmed by the efficiency. Now its my turn to be embarrassed there is no engine sound on start up simply a notice which reads ready.

We were travelling to Southampton in my…
We were travelling to Southampton in my wife’s Audi A1 when the engine light came on, indicating a Drivetrain error. My son nursed the car back to his home in Poole but it was running very poorly. We needed to get back to our home in North Dorset in order to pick up my old Skoda in order to continue the journey, so I used the phone app to call GEM Motor Assistance. The recovery people arrived just over an hour after I contacted GEM. I was very pleased with the service provided and have no hesitation in recommending GEM.

Turning a breakdown into an enjoyable adventure
Broke down 200+ miles from home and GEM, through its network of recovery companies got us home quickly and smoothly, keeping us updated and assured throughout. Everyone we dealt with were friendly and went the extra mile to give us a spectacular service. What could have been a misery was a fantastic adventure.
