Great service


We recently purchased my new car and had an excellent experience from start to finish. The sales team was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and never made me feel pressured during the process. They took the time to explain all the features, options of purchase and answered every question clearly. Benjamin Hudson initially and collection day Dawid Kucharski.

The entire purchase process was smooth, transparent, and well-organized. Delivery of the vehicle was on time, and the car was presented well. I especially appreciated the regular updates and friendly customer service throughout.

I’m very happy with my new car and would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a hassle-free and trustworthy car buying experience.

A very good experience

Every car dealership could learn from motorpoint

Every car dealership could learn something from motorpoint, they were helpful but not intrusive, their when you needed them but left you alone to look and browse the showroom, always had the answer to any questions you asked and honest, didn’t try and sell you something just for the sake of it. Best experience I have had of buying a used car by far. Would most definitely recommend

Disappointing aftersales experience — know your rights before buying

I purchased a vehicle from Motorpoint in late November. Within a few months, I noticed a fault with the parking sensors. At the time of purchase, I was advised to raise any issues through the MG warranty, which is exactly what I did. The issue was reported in February and an appointment was arranged for March.
When MG inspected the vehicle, their findings were very clear. Two rear parking sensors were missing or pushed behind the bumper, and two retaining bolts for the rear bumper were also missing. MG confirmed in writing that "someone has been there before — this may have been a previous repair by a Bodyshop or a smart repairer" and declined the warranty claim on the basis that "this is not an issue with manufacturing but an issue with previous repair."
In short —The fault is the result of repair work carried out on the vehicle before I bought it. This is something Motorpoint should have identified and disclosed at the point of sale. I was never informed of any prior bodywork, repair, or damage to the car.
When I raised this with Motorpoint, they initially claimed the issue was reported "5 months after purchase" — which was inaccurate. They then asked me to fund an independent inspection with no guarantee they would act on the findings or cover the cost. They say they operate in line with the Consumer Rights Act 2015, but in practice, the entire burden has been placed on me — despite the Act clearly stating that faults raised within the first six months are presumed to have been present at sale unless the retailer proves otherwise.
So the position is this: Motorpoint sold the car without disclosing any prior repair work. Yet neither party is willing to take responsibility, and I'm left chasing a resolution for a fault I did not cause.
I've been polite, patient, and reasonable throughout — but resolving this has been unnecessarily difficult. This is still ongoing.
If you're considering buying from Motorpoint, I'd strongly recommend getting a thorough independent inspection before purchase, documenting everything, and knowing your consumer rights. You may need them.

We would like to clarify a few important points. All vehicles sold by Motorpoint, including yours, are HPI clear at the point of sale, meaning there is no recorded accident damage or insurance-related repair history. In addition, no bodywork or repair work was carried out to the rear bumper or parking sensor area while the vehicle was in Motorpoint’s possession.
As a large retailer, we rely on manufacturer warranties to address mechanical or electrical issues that arise after purchase. In this instance, the issue was correctly referred to MG under their warranty process. MG’s decision to decline the claim was based on their independent assessment, not on any repair history recorded or known to Motorpoint at the time of sale.
We understand your reference to the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and can assure you that we do operate fully in line with this legislation. Where a concern is raised post-sale and external parties suggest prior repair work, an independent inspection is often the fairest way to establish the cause and responsibility. This protects both the customer and the retailer by ensuring decisions are based on objective evidence.
We regret that this matter feels drawn out, and we acknowledge your patience throughout. Our team remains open to reviewing any independent findings and will always act appropriately on substantiated evidence.
