Dealing with a bereavement sale was bad enough, but Motorway's unprofessional behaviour when it came to the process and disclosing their 'fee' resulted in an unpleasant sting in the tail. I won't be using them again.

Motorway later doubled down on this, even thought hey admitted it wasn't mentioned in the bereavement call (which is where I arranged the sale) and was not clear in their app at the time.

Really easy, straightforward process. Liked the photo templates. I was very upfront about all blemishes which meant no haggling on the driveway at collection. Slightly disappointed with the value, but still higher than unseen “starting” figure quoted by garage for trade in and that was only going to go down when they saw it. So overall a good experience

The staff wouldn’t listen to me about the service history on my vehicle even though I se t proof in directly from Volkswagen. And clearly not experienced enough to tell the difference between alloy wheels and plastic wheel trims. Which ultimately dropped the price of my vehicle down a lot from the initial guide price.

Everything was straight forward and simple

Overall experience was good, however, as I have a paper licence, it was extremely difficult to do the upload of documents etc. It took 4 phone calls (a lot of wasted time for me) with people telling me different things and eventually someone who got it right! Pricing was better than competitors. Remember though on collection day, they’ll always find a small issue and reduce the offer.

Motorway would have definitely been a 5 out of 5 if the links they send to you asking for further information or confirmation worked - had to call them often because of it. Otherwise a real good option for selling your car very efficient on the financial side.

Straight forward process. Value for money. Finance cleared and remaining balance in my account within minutes of the purchaser approving the car upon inspection at point of collection.

I’m finding it very difficult to fault the Motorway app UX, customer support or transaction process.

My only suggestion would be to include a contact name in-app, as it was slightly unclear as to who would be collecting the vehicle. Other than that, Motorway was a near flawless service overall.

Selling through Motorway was a good and simple experience and I got a better price than local dealers offered me.

First rate. Very easy and all very well explained and safe. Also good to have real human contact available via email with quick response. Can’t recommend highly enough. Thank you.

For those looking for a quick sale, well managed with good technology & helpful information through each step this is a great service.

If you are looking to maximise the value of your car then be aware that ultimately you are 'dealing with dealers'.

So they will be looking to drive the final price down regardless of their initial valuations.

Would I use Motorway again? Yes, if I wanted a quick sale which was all well handled.

No, if I wanted a higher price for the car via a private sale.

What you are getting is convenience, at a price.

How much of a hit you are prepared to take is up to you.

It was very pleasant experience, sold my car with minimum effort

It was so smooth and simple. Everything by just sitting at home. Initially I was skeptical and almost given up but then they approached me again for auction and car was sold. I would recommend it to others

Very helpful and respectful

Such an easy straightforward app to use and they gave me the best valuation on my used car. The guy who came to pick it up (not related to motorway) did end up offering me slightly less but still way higher than other dealers.
