I needed to quickly copy 104GB Google…

I needed to quickly copy 104GB Google data to a 1T Apple cloud share. Paid $7.99 for 100GB and then had to add $5.99 for an additional increment of 50GB to be able to get the final 4GB transferred.

I found that I had run out of bytes and assumed I had somehow doubled up on data, so I purchased ANOTHER $5.99 and +50GB.

At this point, I am $19.97 into this task and the transfer fails again and I was unable to transfer 104GB of data with a total purchased 200GB in transfer bytes.

I reached out to MultCloud's support and usually got a next day snarky response and it was explained that, even though I had selected do not transfer duplicates in the operations screen, every time a transfer is attempted all data is counted as transferred, even if the transfer failed due to a system failure. Even if you have nothing to do with the failure, or even understand what the ubiquitous error "104" error this system provides, it counts the attempt against your purchased bytes.

I spent $19.97 for 200GB of data transfer, four days of effort, and did not get my 104GB transferred. Confusing system, misleading operations and a complete failure to perform.

Edit: I responded to Multcloud's expressed interest in finding out what happened (below) with the emails I had previously sent to and received from their support. Their response was that they could not find me as a customer. LOL I sent them the receipt and screen prints of my paid account. I think their followup is on par with their product.

Minimalistic and well designed GUI.

The straightforward experience.
Doesnt require much configuration, options menu is well organized and non confusing.

Technically efficient. It doesnt lag, it copies well files, with its directory and subdirectory structure.

Effective GUI.
All of the options and buttons are placed in order through the screen and accessible.

Outstanding product and support

The MultCloud product is really outstanding and really does do exactly what it says "on the tin"... I have been dreading migrating TBs of data from Dropbox Business to Google Workspace and MultCloud made it super easy and painless. It even enabled me to preserve file "created on" and "modified on" dates...

AND - their support is second to none. Really outstanding. Thank you.

Continued charging me but account is on free tier

Used for years, service good. Then recently I lived in and noticed my account had changed to a "free account." But I was still being charged 7.99 a month. I don't know how long this sent on for, but it's disingenuous to continue to charge customers for a service tier that no longer exists. Cancelled my payments via PayPal because my account no longer shows I was a paying customer. Disappointing but I won't go back

Hello I am someone that needs to host some images on my site, Google Drive doesn't provide good option so use of MultCloud with Remote Copy between drives provides me with this feature to retrieve later file name and show the image on my blog from Amazon S3 API, add it could be a good option to also transfer to Dropbox for file reading on the phone or remote upload from internet, the only drawback is Zoom because they provide 5 files did not know how to use with remote upload to upload Zoom saving to my drive.

Waste of time and money

I bought the unlimited plan April 4 - 2025 to sync our Google Photo's Google Drive and Evernote accounts to my local Synology disks.
So far so good, but when starting to sync i got all kinds of errors.
I tried all settings, sync, mirror, transfer, real time, simple sync and so on.
Support does not help in any way - just telling us to choose less files - re-add Google Photo/drive or Evernote.
I have done this so many times and it is really frustrating.
It's easy to loose track of tasks if you have to relate to 50 different tasks to be able to sync a small amount of data.

Regarding Google Photo - Multcloud support admitted that they trouble reading data and they have to reprogram on their side.
Timeline? They say weeks. This is terrible!
I believe they have more trouble with Evernote.

Evernote points their finger to Multcloud.

I have used more than two weeks trying to get Multcloud to sync our files communicating with support 25 mails getting nothing useful from them.

If MultCloud had delivered by their promises the product would have been just what I need but now there is only lot's of timewasting operations.

(I have now downloaded all my files manually from Google and Evernote. It took just some hours)

Last answer from support at multcloud.com to arild.lovaas at autosense.no:
Thank you so much for contacting us.
Due to recent updates to Google Photos' official API permission policies, third-party platforms (including MultCloud) are now restricted from accessing Google Photos data. As a result, MultCloud is currently unable to list original data from Google Photos.
We are actively exploring alternative solutions, including communicating directly with Google Photos, to resolve this issue. However, we are currently unable to provide a specific timeline for resolution.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and support. We will share updates as soon as there is any progress.
If you have any other questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact us back.

Best Regards,
Fiona

We’re really sorry to hear about the difficulties you’ve encountered — this is far from the experience we aim to provide, especially after your trust in choosing our Unlimited plan.

Regarding the issues you mentioned:

Google Photos: The problem has now been resolved. As you may know, Google requires a review period for app integrations, and at times this process can take weeks. During this phase, we may need to adjust certain technical details to align with Google's API requirements. We understand how frustrating delays can be and sincerely thank you for your patience.

Evernote: This issue was caused by a listing configuration error on our end, which our development team has already addressed and fixed. That said, we’re still actively monitoring the situation. If you're still encountering any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly — your feedback could help us identify edge cases we can’t replicate on our side.

Once again, we’re truly sorry for the trouble this caused and deeply value your support. Please reach out via our support team if there’s anything further we can do — we’re here to help.

Multicloud is slow and expensive

Multicloud is slow and expensive, the transfer speed is only 2mb/s I could do it with my own internet faster.

Thank you for your feedback — we’re sorry to hear that you found the transfer speed slower than expected.

Please note that transfer speed can vary depending on the number and size of files being transferred. When there are many small files, the system needs to initiate a large number of individual requests, which can slow down the overall speed due to increased overhead.

On the other hand, if you're transferring fewer but larger files, the transfer is generally more efficient and faster.

We understand this can be frustrating and are constantly working to optimize performance. If you’re still experiencing unusually slow speeds, feel free to reach out to support@multcloud.com so we can take a closer look based on your specific task setup.
