When I booked I left a description detailed enough that the mobile tech knew exactly what was wrong before even looking at the car, yet he didn’t bring ANYTHING to start the repairs, forcing me to book another appointment, requiring another day off, at 3 times the cost a local mechanic charged. Terrible service.

Fantastic, detailed and honest report from Andy at My Auto Shop Christchurch. Worth every cent. Will be using again in the future.

I booked a pre purchase inspection for a car i now own the inspection included a significant amount of things that were supposedly wrong with the vehicle but only one minor thing was actually wrong with it .
It also stated that the care needed a service as soon as possible even though the car was serviced less than 100kms earlier. Overall terrible inspection im assuming they did this to try get me to take it to them to be fixed. pull it together my autoshop.

Quick, responsive, effective service here in Wellington. Replaced my front brake pads after I failed a WoF. Reasonable price and no need to leave work for the usual drop off or pick up, as the work was done right in my parking space! Will definitely use again and have recommended to friends and family.

Extremely disappointed with my experience using My Auto Shop, I genuinely feel like I have been scammed after a pre-inspection check for a newly imported hybrid car.

Paid extra for the hybrid battery check, only to find that it was missing from my inspection result. Only after enquiring about it, did they tell me that they cannot do hybrid battery checks on Nissan hybrids and offered to refund the money for the extra cost of the hybrid battery check.

That left me in a position where I had to find another provider to do the pre-inspection check and pay for it all over again - just to check the hybrid battery. Had they told me this from the beginning, I would've enquired elsewhere. For them to not mention anything until after the fact is questionable as well, as they would've known this from the booking form, yet went ahead anyway.

After finding another inspector, it turns out that some things on my report were incorrect such as alternators being falsely checked as having passed the test (despite the car not even having an alternator), some results had different values (copy and pasted report?), as well as something as basic as not realising that one of the keys isn't working.

In the end, it would've cost me more money than had I found someone who could do the job I paid and enquired for initially.

This is only something that was detected because they couldn't do Nissan's, otherwise, I would've been none-the-wiser.

I had Joe from the Auckland branch. He was very good, very efficient and came over on a rainy Sat afternoon. I would have no hesitation in using my Auto Shop and Joe again.

Would highly recommend. Kept well informed from booking to notification of technician on his way was A+++ and technician extremely helpful. My mechanic is retiring at end of year so definitely will use them again

What a rip-off. I had an horrible experience using My Auto Shop.

I'm an exchange student in from Denmark in Christchurch. I don't know anything about troubleshooting and repairing cars. My car had a coolant fluid leak. I used My Auto Shop to find a mechanic that is both cheap and can do the job.

Going through the website ticking the boxes off that fit the car's problems. I ticked off "oil/fluid leak" & "honey smell". I thought the ticked boxes were for troubleshooting matters only when in a matter of fact I actually bought assessments. I paid $180 upfront thinking it everything's fine. I called up the mechanic asking about my payment and was told that the payment would go through My Auto Shop so if the total mechanical costs will get charged through the card I already used on the website. That was not true. I was charged for the mechanical costs at pick-up so the $180 are just lost.

My advise to others is to skip My Auto Shop and just head straight to the mechanic and talk with them about the issue.

I would NEVER recommend My Auto Shop to anyone who value their hard earned money.

I got my bmw looked at by Andy from myautoshop great service made it super easy to understand what he was going to be doing did everything in a clean an timely manner I would definitely recommend them an will Definitely be using there service again in the future 👍

Tristen was a pleasure to deal with, on time, well spoken, clear about the few issues that were needing attention and how to go about getting them sorted. Will definitely use them again in the future.

I am extremely satisfied with the service at My Auto Shop! Their straightforward booking process and user-friendly website made everything easy. The pricing is reasonable and the option for Afterpay was a lifesaver as I needed my car fixed quickly for work. The fact that they are also a mobile company was really helpful as my car could no longer start up, which would have cost me extra to get it towed up to a local mechanic. The communication leading up to my appointment was excellent.

Although I didn't catch the worker's name, he was efficient and got the job done quickly. He arrived on time at my house and started working immediately. It only took him about an hour to fix the alternator in my car, which would have taken longer at a standard mechanic. Overall, I am thrilled with My Auto Shop and will recommend them enthusiastically for years to come!

I used the online booking service to engage My Auto Shop to complete a vehicle pre purchase inspection.
Quick easy to use and received both text and email confirmation of booking.
Work completed quickly and I received the full detailed inspection report plus a phone call from Sem to check if I needed any more info.
Great service and great communication!!

My review got removed from My auto shop google reviews so Im also posting here. Seems they are reporting negative reviews to have them removed.
Be very very careful. My daughter was purchasing her first car and we watch from the car dealers office, entire inspection took a little over 30mins, including the hybrid check which evidently looks like a app the car dealer showed us which is a doctor prius thingy, we wanted a thorough hybrid inspection not a free app inspection and a thorough safety and mechanic check done. It's gets worst the salesperson said Andrew Aka Andy and Rich Aka Richard are not qualified registered mechanics and both have been to their car yard.... As a mother I'm shocked they are allowed to deceive the general public without any consequences. We watched the inspector just lay down and looked under the car oh my Lord. Lucky the salesman paid for a AA inspection and a separate hybrid battery check at their expense and both were well under My Auto Shops total cost. Never ever again..

I'm never going to use your services again as you had sent me a estimate quote on spark plugs replacement and recommended a garage Franklin motor never ever going back there quote you sent
$468 including spark plugs when i specifically said i had already brought spark plugs total i had paid to them $1022 wth and i requested for a invoice from this garage still waiting this garage needs to be investigated that's why I've only given 1 star

Service was awesome. Customer service rescheduled my service as requested hassle free. Al, the mechanic provided really good service. Highly recommended

I needed to get a mobile mechanic out instaad of going to a garage, and these guys were very accomodating. No trouble to send out a mechanic, and he was great! Fantastic job Esteban, very knowledgeable and experienced. Service was A1+!

I can’t recommend My Auto Shop enough. We’ve just moved back from London & needed a car asap, so contacted the Team at My Auto Shop to check out a car we were really keen on but had vague information on. These guys did a thorough check on our vehicle & left us very confident to buy it with no hesitation. Their attention to detail, report & then explanation to my questions has left us very happy & knowing we will use them again in the future. If you want to buy a car & have a full check, leaving you aware of everything you need to know about the car & any issues that need to make be addressed, these guys are the ones to go to. Thank you Ezra, the mechanic who did a great job & then called me & gave me all the info I needed. Highly recommend 5 stars.

Paid $334 for a detailed pre-purchase inspection with notes that I was worried the car had be de-registered in the past due to it being a write off (couldn't confirm that myself at the time as the seller was telling me a different story). The inspection came back with a relative clean bill of health (small issues here and there), but nothing flagged in regards to anything major.

In the meantime, I call Continental Cars who had previously serviced the car...their service department confirm that it had come in with major damage (wheel struts and structural...had hit some concrete bollards) and their quote to fix had lead to the insurance company writing it off.

Should these guys have found it...hard to tell depending on the repair job (I'm definitely no expect myself which is why I tried to hire expects). What is clear, if you are worried a car has been written off in the past then don't expect/assume these guys to find it.
