Deceptive Ad
They guarantee best price or its free, right? I got a much better price quote from Home Depot but I still got a bill.
That being said, the flooring & stairs turned out great but brokering out the flooring wasn't what I expected. They called to reschedule because materials weren't in. They showed up anyway. Came 2 separate days. When they called to confirm the new date, the lady on the phone was shocked they were already at my house. Bad communication between office & workers.
Highly recommend National Floors Direct
Everything went well from beginning to end. The installation and installers were top notch. The salesman was very thorough and everything went super smoothly. They cleaned up when they were done as well and my new floors look amazing, I couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Be sure to have your attorney present…
Be sure to have your attorney present when you sign the 50 page agreement. I specifically asked if an employee would do the carpet installation. The salesman said yes. The installer was a good person but he was a 1099. in Florida, businesses with 4 or less employees don’t carry workman’s comp insurance. Therefore I was liable if the installer got hurt. I was told by the salesman that it would be a two person job and the job would be completed in 3-4 hours. The installer arrived alone at 11:30 am. He was not finished until after 6pm. I knew it would be an all day job so I assumed it would be done by 5pm. I was told by the salesman that the installer would move the furniture. The installer said he expected compensation for moving the furniture. The salesman told me that the installer would take the old carpet . The installer said he would have to be compensated for taking the stained carpet. When I complained to management they kept pointing to the 50 page agreement That I had signed. If I knew about the 50 page agreement I would have had an attorney review the contract. In hindsight I should’ve have not signed anything! If you are planning to get new flooring, keep looking!
Great experience
The entire experience was great and we got very good service from the guys who worked on the rug and floors. The price point was perfect and we will definitely use national floors direct again.
Thank you
This is a follow up
This is a follow up. My previous review conveniently vanished.
Install date was October 2024.
I received a response to my Google review from Kurt Hurley CMO, National Floors Direct instructing me to contact you. I did reach out to your customer service and was told to send photos. Which I did. I received a call from Lisa and was told it was my fault and the warranty on the installation and the product was null and void. I was also told they will send someone out to inspect at a cost of $200. Of course, this did not make me happy since I was told by the salesman there was a 1 year warranty on the install and a 25 year on the product I was informed by Lisa that it was only 90 days on the labor. There are multiple problems with the floor throughout the house kitchen, living room/dining room, laundry room, den. It became so dangerous in the kitchen and the den I had to but an 8x5 area rug to temporarily cover the floor. I paid $20,000 for the floor and it did not last 6 months.
Upon dealing with their customer service they wanted to send someone out to inspect the job. They made me pay $200. for the visit or they would not come out. They sent the same person that installed my floors. He checked for moisture. His meter indicated the floors had moisture under them. He never checked when the install was done. They never put vapor barrier down to protect the product. They actually overlooked 5 installation procedures. The main was not letting the floor acclimate to the temperature in the home. They left the boxes of flooring in the garage. Brought it in and installed immediately. Going from 90 degrees in the garage to 72 in the house is going to cause sweating. Also, the product will contract. I will not get into the other aspects of their negligence. That will be saved for the courtroom. They would not even contact the manufacturer without me signing a form that admonished their installation.
I was told that the floor needs to be removed and then the slab would have to be sealed and the then install the new floor all at my expense. Upon research I found that National Floors were sued in New York and had to pay out a few hundred thousand in settlements for numerous claims. Now they will not even speak to me on the phone. Stay away from this company.
I was installed in October 2024. The flooring started showing problems in March of 2025. I have been in contact numerous times with National Floor Direct Numerous times. In fact, one of their customer service reps called me about 2 weeks ago to see about getting credit for the materials. Here is my invoice number.

My Horrible Experience With National Floors Direct
A salesman came to my house, saw my basement and all of the furniture in my basement and said my floor looked great (carpeting was pulled up by someone else before he arrived. We agreed that NFD would lay luxury vinyl plank (LVP) in my basement for a set price of $10K. On the day the installers arrived, they said the floor needed to be leveled, and wanted to first charge an extra $7K, then $6K, then said they would level the floor is I pad for the materials, which was over $2.5K. Leveling was never discussed with me and I was already paying a premium for the floor, but I went with NFD because they had a good reputation. After there was no agreement, I asked for my money back and they refused until I had to threaten elder abuse litigation. Then they came back and offered carpeting instead. They knew the reason we had pulled the old carpet was due to my wife's asthma since moving into the house, but we agreed to go with carpet as long as it was the Mohawk hypoallegenic asthma certified carpeting, and after a lot more back and forth on price, they finally agreed to do the work for the same $10K price as the LVP. Then the first set of carpet installers showed up and refused to do the work due to the furniture which the salesman already knew about and the first set of LVP installers knew about. Again, NFD tried to squeeze me for more money to move the furniture, and again I refused. So, the first set of carpet installers left. Then NFD called me back and said they would send over new installers and not charge for the furniture. Two days later, new carpet installers showed up, and again said they would not deal with the furniture because they weren't getting paid to move it around. After two wasted hours, NFD finally agreed to deal with the furniture, and the carpet was finally installed. The installers did a great job, but dealing with NFD was pure hell. And, as it turns out, when the problems first started happening over the carpeting, I contacted a local carpet retailer, and they gave me a quote for the exact same carpet, padding and installation that included a line item for moving the furniture and that $500 less than I had agreed to pay NFD.
Great Sales People But
The sales people were great at understanding that I needed flooring to withstand a wheelchair as my husband had been rear-ended and as a result, became a quadriplegic. They told me that it needed to glued and would put it into the contract. They even came to the hospital so I could sign the contract which helped me deal with all the stress I was going through. They (ended up with 2 people) get 5+ stars. The installer boss was there on day one, then only appeared for a few minutes on day 2 & 3. He left a single worker to complete work who was scary & didn't speak english--luckily he didn't stay long (he did poor quality work as well). On day 1, I noticed that they weren't using glue. I pointed out that the flooring had to withstand wheel chair use. The boss man said of course it would--it was really good stuff. I had to get my contract out and show him that it was supposed to be glued. He started using glue, but I fear he scrimped in areas. My husband ended up dying in the hospital. The flooring where I use my office chair has chipped at a corner, a reducer has fallen off, and some seams are puckering. It's been 2-years since it was installed. The contract says you must activate the warranty within 10 days of installation completion. I don't know if I knew that, or if I did it. However, the warranty reads very iffy anyway.

Top quality carpet at the best price
From the initial visit, follow up calls over the wait time, and to the day of installation, all went great. The price was unbeatable, the quality of carpet was second to none, and the people involved was trustable. Would definitely recommend!

Their contractors took a poop in one of our newly installed toilets that has no water in the bowl upstairs and they took a pee in our newly installed toilet downstairs with no water in the bowl. We just bought this home, just installed the toilets and in the middle of redoing our showers so water was off. We live in the woods, could have peed outside and we are .4 miles away from TWO gas stations! They used our toilets, neglected to tell me, left it. Once I realized, I called they denied and said it was our painters. My painter is my father and surely didn’t. They lied, accused and refuse to speak to us! Don’t ever, ever, ever use this unprofessional company!
