From the moment I walked into the studio, I felt completely welcomed and at ease. Hi there
I am completely new to this environment but I was made to feel extremely welcome from the moment I walked into the studio. I was really touched that my suitcase was taken away and my outfits were neatly hung up for me to change into. The whole experience was very professional and the photographer was excellent and took amazing photos. I now have a great portfolio of pictures and was fortunate to be told that I have a future in modelling and maybe TV work, which is a great boost to my self esteem. I am in the mature male category but I would recommend New Idol Models to anyone aspiring to have a future in modelling

Who wants to be a model
Being totally new into the world of modelling and at my age, I was a little wary. Especially as the modelling world hadn't had great press in the past on how they treated their models. . But I was pleasantly surprised with the whole end to end experience here including the follow up and aftercare. From the first telephone call with Liam. To the receptionist who greeted me on the day and right the way through the process of the make-up artist, photographer and the follow up discussion. The process was seamless and stress free. Yes some of the packages are expensive but you are told what you are getting for your money, so at the end of the day. It is down to you whether you want to take it further or not.

Staff were pleasant enough but I did not have a good experience. I was told upfront deposit will be refunded which they will , no problem. They only take it to guard against no shows which is fair enough.
At the time of “ booking” the shoot I was told no cost to me at all and after Photoshoot they will send photos to clients and once a job awarded they will get commission. This was not the case. They wanted money for portfolio but not clear on what next. So I decided not to go ahead. Makeup and hair was a joke in the name of “natural look”. I have no problem with that so then don’t do anything to face. I could do better makeup myself. They just plastered my hair down for natural look. Wish they had told me so I would not have bothered washing my hair. They keep you waiting for ages to give you honest consultation which from what I could tell is they say you made it to everyone so that they get the money up front then it does not matter if you get an assignment or not as they got the money already . I do wish success to those who paid up .
A bit rude as I was asking about the process to make sure I knew what I was getting into. So the consultant lady wanted to stop sharing details as I think she realized I would not like the responses and won’t sign up. I requested she continue which she did for its sake but did not impart information except cost. Very disappointed that such agencies allowed to operate. Booking and studio staff all one company btw.
It’s not for me but try and make your own mind up. Also photographer was pleasant but did not give great instructions so the photos did not look professional at all and lighting was not great. Small space with poor lighting to get changed. They opened my suitcase without my permission to hang my clothes. Good they tried to give good service but they should ask first.

Regarding our packages, we always aim to be transparent about the fact that purchasing a portfolio is optional — and not a requirement to proceed. We also take your comments on hair, makeup, and the studio environment seriously. Our goal is to deliver a professional service, and it's disappointing to hear you felt otherwise. That said, our team should always ask before handling personal belongings — and we agree this should have been done differently.

I paid a lot of money for a portfolio
I paid a lot of money for a portfolio, was supposed to have a month's support, think I only spoke with Amber once.. Not impressed and certainly wouldn't recommend spending money on a portfolio that you don't really need, Stay away from these people they just want money and don't follow up to see how you are getting on, not really sure of the date, but I've wasted £4000

Serious GDPR breach and poor customer service experience
After waiting four working days for a response, the aftercare team finally replied to my email—only to send me someone else's signed Terms & Conditions, including their full name, address, and phone number. This is a serious breach of GDPR and raises major concerns about how customer data is handled.
The aftercare representative (I won’t name her) then called me and became confrontational when I pointed out that I was only shown the Terms & Conditions after I had already made payment. She insisted they were provided beforehand and that I should’ve read them—something I still don’t understand, since I wasn’t shown the document until after paying.
When I asked her not to raise her voice, she gave a bizarre excuse, saying she could barely hear me and thought I was whispering—completely untrue and nonsensical.
I have now submitted a Subject Access Request (SAR) for the call recording under the Data Protection Act 2018. Since they don't seem to resolve the matter amicably by just refunding my money, I will be sending formal legal notice next week based on the following concerns:
1) The use of misinformation and pressure tactics to sell their services
2) The GDPR breach, which highlights poor operational oversight—especially unacceptable from a company that claims to have 12 years of experience.
I would strongly advise others to be cautious before engaging with this business.

Friendly and professional but the images are outrageously expensive
Although the experience was friendly and professional, I feel the charge for images is outrageous. If you want to be a model apply directly with the agencies by sending them some images. If they like you they will take you! No need to spend a fortune on test shoot images!
