Don’t doubt the blurb, it’s all true…

I’m inherently sceptical about clothing companies that sound too good to be true but I was tempted by the promises of Ninepine - the flexible day to night nature of the Asana range, the soft, stretchy fabric and the different lengths that the trousers came in. To say I was over the moon is an understatement. They exceed all the promises in every way - casual enough to wear all day, and yet pair with a smart top and they instantly carry you through to a chic dinner! But that’s not all! They are the most comfortable trousers I have ever owned - butter soft, super stretchy, hold their shape, wash incredibly well regardless of how often and they come in different lengths to suit any height! I bought the Asana relaxed straight pants in black and then immediately bought two more in navy and brown. They are now an integral part of my wardrobe and I’m about to purchase the Asana slim pants and denims. Can’t wait. Take it from me, don’t doubt the blurb. It’s all true.

Was so excited to have found this…

Was so excited to have found this company as their trousers are fantastic! After buying one pair which I was so happy with I bought another but sadly they were too big so had to return. Their returns procedure is a total NIGHTMARE- can only be done through FedEx so either a 12 mile round drive to drop off or create an account then arrange a collection-such a hassle . Makes you wonder if it’s deliberate?! So disappointed that such a great company can’t make returns easy like their competitors !! 😞

For returns from the UK, the order needs to come back via the same carrier as delivery, this is due to commercial invoices and customs connected with the carrier and order to facilitate returns from NON EU back to the EU without issues.

Just to clarify, there’s no need to create an account to book a free FedEx collection, and it certainly isn’t meant to feel complicated or inconvenient. Lovely soft feel really comfy trousers

Was a little apprehensive buying online without being able to try on but needn't have worried. The Asana relaxed trousers are soft feel and so comfortable to wear. I wore them on my journey from the UK to New Zealand recently and they were ideal. I am just over 5ft tall so I bought the shorter length (28inch) and they are just right with a thick soled shoe, they are just off the ground which was what I wanted. I would usually buy a size 8 but went for the XS as i felt the S size might be a little too loose. They fit perfectly. Really good service, actually arrived 5 days earlier than the estimated date. Will definitely be buying more from Ninepine.

Very happy

The pants are soft and comfortable. I had an issue initially with the waistband folding over but this was solved by sizing up. The customer service was excellent.

Customer service is dreadful

Customer service is dreadful! Discount codes a con! Delivery times not as stated.

I bought myself a pair of the Asana bootcut and they are comfortable but even after measuring myself and ordering 30 length I have to pull them so far up they almost meet my bra! When they slip down I get a new style that I call ‘Soggy Bootcut’

However, they are comfy for me and I said so to my OH - so I’ve now got 2 pairs as he purchased another pair as one of my gifts for Valentines Day. Bless him. Although Ninepine sent him a discount code, he found it impossible to use even on a full price item.

I’m worried that we’ve been ripped off because the cost is extortionate for a pair of leggings - I can’t see how they can justify nearly £90 for them. I’ve got others that are just as comfy but without zip pockets that I paid £20 for. I’ve also got a pair I paid around £20 more for because Lewis Hamilton endorses them and their customer service is second to none and includes live chat which I appreciate as a busy professional.

I’ve reached out to them on their contact form and - ZERO response. I did have one response from them (about a week after I sent the email) when I complained about the delivery dates changing to a week later after I ordered and they had some explanation about how we are in the UK and it’s more difficult now BUT, as the website is clever enough to show me the price in GBP it knows where I am, why doesn’t the delivery date also take this into account and change to the truth accordingly?

The brand is marketing itself as ‘High End’ without the high end customer service that I get from other ‘High End’ brands. In fact their website states ‘At Ninepine, we are dedicated to creating high quality products while maintaining our ethical integrity’ and I feel that this has simply not taken customer service into account.

Sizing can be tricky, as personal preference and individual body composition play a big role in how a garment feels and sits. Our size guide is based on customer feedback and focus groups, so it’s meant to be a helpful suggestion rather than a perfect guarantee. We can advise as best as possible, but we won’t be right 100% of the time because even people with the same measurements often prefer different fits. I’m sorry to hear the length and rise didn’t feel right for you.

It’s also disappointing to hear that the discount code didn’t work at the time of your order, that shouldn’t happen. And regarding your emails, if you only received a reply to your delivery enquiry, it means our team only received that single email. We’d really like to look into your order details, the timing of your purchase, and the delivery estimate you were shown so we can make sure everything was accurate and also review the delivery times displayed on our website.

Outstanding customer service and reliable brand!

Recommended by family to try out Niniepine. I purchased 2 pair of pants and had quality issue with one of them. Reached out to customer service without any expectation. But Ninepine did such a fantastic job handling the issue efficiently with a replacement which I received in less than a week since I raised the issue. It truly is the best experience I ever had! They genuinely care about their customers and the brand sustainability. Definitely would continue supporting it!

Feeling a little disappointed

Feeling a little disappointed. The company were extremely helpful when I needed to exchange a pair of trousers for a bigger size. I ordered a pair of jeans at the same time. Sadly the L are no bigger than the M and the jeans come up even smaller. I am undecided whether to try and exchange for an XL as they feel amazing, or just cut my losses and ask for a refund.

We do have strong quality‑control processes in place, but there can still be slight batch variations in production.

Clothing manufacturing isn’t an exact science, and small differences in cutting, sewing, and fabric behaviour can lead to variations of around ±2 cm between batches.

In general, the L is about 2–3 cm larger in the waist compared to the M, but we completely understand how frustrating it is when the fit doesn’t feel noticeably different.

Extortionate return fee

What they don’t tell you is just how expensive the return fee UK is….£6.90! That makes trying on clothes very expensive! Plus you need a printer to print off the return labels. It put me off buying from Ninepine.

To be transparent, returns coming from outside the EU are significantly more costly on our side. The real cost for us is actually almost double the £6.90 fee, because non‑EU returns require additional customs handling, paperwork, and processing when they re‑enter the EU. We try to be as fair as possible by absorbing a portion of that cost ourselves rather than passing the full amount on to customers.

We also appreciate your point about needing a printer. We know that’s not ideal, and your feedback is really valuable. I’ll make sure your experience is shared with our wider team as we continue improving the return process.

Shopping on line shouldn't be this difficult

I have owned a pair of navy Ninepine jeans for some time and they're great. The fit and comfort is as people say. However, I recently bought the same jeans in black. I was so disappointed to find they were too tight round the hips and waist. (I'm slim, not an hour-glass figure). I have a picture that shows how much smaller the black pair are to the blue.
Firstly, Ninepine should have enough quality control that the same jeans, but in different colours, are the same size. It is understood that black die affects the jean material more than blue and their manufacturing should factor this in.
The second and major problem is that exchanges and returns from the UK are a nightmare. You have to book it all through Fedex and for me, the online site wouldn't accept the order number info, etc, and in the end I took it to a Fedex site, a 50 minute round trip.
I couldn't bear the thought of exchanging for the size up, only to find they didn't fit, and having to go through the process again.
So, I opted for a refund - to discover that return of my jeans to Ninepine cost me £21 - !!!
As I say, these days, shopping on line just shouldn't be this difficult - or so expensive. I have no product, but I have ended up £21 (WHAT?!) the poorer.
As lovely as my blue jeans are, they are the last purchase I will be making from Ninepine.
(Just a final note: despite the Fedex hassle, Alex in customer service was lovely and as helpful as they could be in the circumstances).

Regarding the sizing difference, we do have strict quality‑control processes in place, but there can still be slight batch variations in production. This falls within standard manufacturing tolerances, but I fully appreciate how noticeable it can feel when you’re expecting the same fit as a pair you already own.

On the returns side, I’m sorry the process felt unclear and inconvenient. Exchanges are currently available only for customers within the EU, and this is mentioned on our website. For customers outside the EU, including the UK, we offer store credit instead. This gives you a free return label and allows you to place a new order whenever you’re ready, using the credit issued.

With FedEx, you can either book a collection or, in many areas, drop the parcel off at a FedEx location at no extra cost. For refunds, the return label cost is £6.90, and that amount is deducted from the final refund.

The £21 you mentioned sounds unusually high, so if you could please email us a copy of the receipt, one of our team members will be happy to look into this and find a solution for you.

When I purchased they said delivery…

When I purchased they said delivery 10th but not arriving until 13th yet just been online now and says if I purchase now they will be delivered on 11th. Don’t believe them

You can purchase express delivery or free which they state is 1-3 days but the are actually taking order from the Sunday and the carrier says it will be delivered the following Friday Assume 5-7 days or longer

More excuses each time they message me. Thus time I paid for delivery in 1-2 days and got an email saying when they have packed it allow 36 hours for tracking to start working the I will get a delivery date. Online it said next day 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

It’s good to check trustpilot before…

It’s good to check trustpilot before buying clothes on line, especially a new brand.
I bought Asana trousers for work and I loved them. I also bought a beautiful jumper that suffered from pulling soon after I bought it. I reported this to Ninepines and the customer service was outstanding.
I was refunded the full amount and they suggested I keep the jumper or donate to charity shop.
Well done. I hope everybody has the same positive experience.
