Excellent communications and advice regarding my smart meter being offline since April therefore bills, since then, they have been estimated.
My only concern is that I would have thought that, in view of the smart meter going offline, Octopus would have been more pro-active about it… or now organise an engineer to come quickly, not tell me it may be 10 weeks before someone comes.

I'm a new customer and was impressed. Mia was easy to understand, responded to all of my questions and clearly knew about all the odd things: change of account holder name, correcting the address, different billing address, getting a smart meter, etc. Much better that me trying to do it online.

As always very happy with Octopus, Retired and closed business property, closing the acct was simple, though do note, download all you need to before as the acct is deleted immediately.

We swapped a retail electricity supply from EDF to Octopus in May 2025 and the difference between the two customer service teams is like night and day. Octopus are efficient, understand your request/problem and resolve it in a timely manner. On the other hand, EDF also tried to bill us (and then sent in the bailiffs) when we weren't even connected to their supply! I can't praise Octopus customer services enough, you hear other people say it but it really is true. They should be running training courses for all the other utility and service provider companies out there. Armand was the last person I emailed, but we've spoken to loads of different people (by phone and email) in resolving this problem and they've all been equally brilliant. Each issue and delay has been with one of the other companies involved, whose customer services have ranged from poor to shocking (pardon the pun). Well done Octopus.

From start to finish it was great to deal with Octopus Energy.
Rather than contacting via web chats it was a relief to speak to a person who you felt knew about your account and could instantly give advice and help.
It was difficult changing from our previous supplier but Octopus understood the situation, were supportive and patient when we kept getting emails saying the swap couldn't proceed.
Eventually everything did work out and the swap was completed on time.
Since then all communications with Octopus have been simple, clear and to the point.
The impression is of a well run, professional business with the interests of the consumer at the forefront.
