Wrongly charged 40€, Customer Service offered a refund

I returned a car today at Fiumicino Airport at around 7.30, Rome. Personnel at the parking arrives at 8.00 AM so I left the keys in the key drop box at the parking area and told the OK mobility guys at the front desk.
I was later charged 40€ for the fact that I had returned the car outside opening hours. I contacted Customer Service and they kindly refunded the charged amount. Thanks!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS..SCAM ARTISTS

No refund given after 4weeks even after returning the vehicle and documents and checks showing no damages. When contacted these guys will ask for type bank details and employ delay tactics rather than paying back the money. The low price is offset by the deposit money not being returned. Don't even touch this company with a bargepole.

Scammed …

Took a car from them from alicante airport on the 1st march. Had plenty of dents and scratches on it but was told and I took a video before moving.
On returning the car was disgusted to find 700 euros taken from my deposit claiming damage to the car. Luckily I also took a video on returning the car, so can prove there was not a single extra mark, scratch , dent on the vehicle.

Best customer service

I have been a customer of OK Mobility for years. As with any business, there have been confusions and misunderstandings from time to time. But the customer service is always available to help. So far all problems were solved to my full satisfaction. That is why I will stay with OK Mobility as a loyal customer. Thank you!

My go to hire company in Alicante airport

I have hired in excess of 20 cars from ok and find all the staff helpful and professional, the cars are always a good specification, only small grip is the valaters don't seem to know how to clean glass as when you drive out of the garage and are hit with the sunlight it is hard to see out the window

Service was effectively not usable under the advertised conditions

I booked a rental car through the comparison website DoYouSpain and paid for the reservation in advance.

When I arrived to pick up the vehicle, I was informed that my Visa Debit card could not be accepted for the security deposit. Interestingly, the booking itself had already been successfully paid using this same card.

I also had a digital Mastercard available and my partner had a physical Visa card, and I would have been willing to add him as an additional driver. However, these options were not accepted.

Instead, I was told that I could only take the car if I purchased an additional full coverage insurance for approximately €500.

Since this condition was not clearly apparent to me during the booking process, I was ultimately unable to pick up the vehicle.

The staff at the counter were polite, but the overall situation was disappointing.

Perhaps this information helps other customers prepare for the pickup conditions.

Unsafe Rental Vehicle (Worn Tires)

Very disappointing and unsafe experience. I rented a car for 10 days, but the day after picking it up the front tire suddenly exploded while I was driving on the highway, which was extremely dangerous. The highway assistance that helped replace the tire also noticed that the tires on the vehicle were extremely worn and in very poor condition.

Because I did not feel safe continuing to drive the car, I returned it to the agency the next day. Instead of acknowledging the safety issue, they forced me to pay 150 EUR for the damaged tire before accepting the return of the vehicle.

Providing a car with dangerously worn tires puts customers’ lives at risk. I was only able to use the vehicle for one day despite paying for a 10-day reservation. I strongly advise future customers to carefully check the condition of the tires before leaving the agency.

Take clear still photos of every panel and inside the car as well.

Upon returning car- which had pretty much all panels marked as scratched, a dent in the sill was found, and despite there being a tick in that box he said it was a new dent. Argued the point, he said his supervisor would be in later to sort it out. This meant we left and got charged for the damage. The walk around video even showed it, but being at the bottom of the car not clearly. Then they added 'damage to rear view mirror' to the bill. Mistake was telling them we had excess insurance. Tenerife.

I rented a car at Chania Airport in…

I rented a car at Chania Airport in late October 2025 and had to make a deposit of 1 500 euro. During the rental period the car got a small scratch, not more serious than the scratches it had at the beginning of the rental. OK Mobility withheld 350 euro but promised to pay it back when the scratch had been evaluated. Nothing happened and I have tried to reach OK Mobility numerous times without getting an answer.

Watch out!!

Watch out!!
A clever loop hole is used with this car hire outlet.
It says in the small print now that credit cards by online banks 'might' not be accepted. That includes First Direct!! Guess, what, they are not accepted. Nor are any global online banks..!! (Avis and Budget accept them)
This means you are unable to secure your excess on your credit card and MUST pay for Full insurance. (which is not the full insurance you may have already purchased with your broker.

OK Mobility Tenerife is a complete scam…

OK Mobility Tenerife is a complete scam company. First they tried to convince me to pay EUR100 for an extra insurance when picking up the car although I had already paid extra insurance to AXA through Ryanair to refund any excess/ deposit taken. I refused but was so anxious I actually did not drive the car at all, just left it at the hotel car park for 5 days. Then when I returned the car, they claimed there is a tiny invisible white mark on the right mirror which they claim wasn't there before and said they will deduct EUR100 from my EUR 1,300 deposit. Clearly, they don't mark tiny defects when giving up the car so they can claim afterwards random additional money. This white mark was definitely not done while I had the car as I did not drive it at all. Plus, it can not be worth EUR100 and they didn't show me any pricing how they came up with this random number. Now, I am waiting to receive a document from them for the EUR 100 so I can claim it back from AXA. I haven't received back my deposit too. Absolute scammers, avoid at all costs!'

Car broke down, drove it back in limp mode, still charged fuel fee

I rented a car from OK Mobility at Gran Canaria Airport (LPA) for a one-week holiday. Pickup took more than an hour in line, but the staff were friendly and the process itself went smoothly.

About halfway through my trip the car developed an electrical issue and would not start at my accommodation in the mountains of central Gran Canaria. Roadside assistance could only come the next morning, which was understandable given the remote location.

The next day they jump-started the car and advised me to drive it back to the airport (more than 50 km) to exchange it if I believed something was wrong.

During the drive the car clearly did not operate normally: the engine ran rough and multiple warning lights appeared on the dashboard. Climbing the mountain roads I could barely reach 30 km/h, and once on the highway the car would not accelerate past about 55 km/h. Later I learned that the vehicle had entered “limp mode” (Fiat 500), which restricts engine power to protect the engine and can be triggered by electrical issues.

When I arrived at the airport and shut the engine off, the car would not restart again.

Because the vehicle had already failed to start once, I avoided turning it off earlier to refuel, as I was concerned I might be stranded again. As a result I returned the car without refueling.

Despite the mechanical failure and the fact that I had driven the car back to the airport as instructed, OK Mobility charged me for the missing fuel plus a refueling service fee, which made it significantly more expensive than filling it myself.

I contacted customer service several times asking if they could waive the charge given the circumstances, but they simply referred to the rental contract and declined. The only gesture offered was a 10% discount voucher for a future rental.

In hindsight the vehicle probably should have been towed instead of driven back. Instead, I drove a malfunctioning car back to their location, lost a day of my vacation dealing with the issue, and still ended up paying extra.

Based on this experience, OK Mobility seemed more focused on enforcing contract terms than on treating customers fairly when something goes wrong. I hope the company considers handling situations like this with more flexibility in the future.

Booking Reference 7115815

Booking Reference 7115815
I booked the car hire through Discover Cars for the quoted price of £126.44, I declined insurance as I have my own excess insurance in place as I travel a lot to Spain, I was aware from the Discover Cars contract that I would be paying a large security deposit when picking the car up from OK Mobility of £1925 which I was happy to pay as this would be refunded subject to the car being returned in the same condition as when collected. On arrival to pick the car up at OK mobility at Alicante airport, OK Mobility insisted I pay a further 450 euros for their own OK Limited insurance cover and would not release the vehicle until I paid this amount. Therefore the cost to myself for the car hire was a over £550 as opposed to the quote of £126.44. OK mobility told me this was my fault for booking through Discover cars and not directly through OK Mobility
