We decided on spending our honeymoon travelling around Sri Lanka with Olanka Travel. This travel has exceeded our expectations to say the least. And all that thanks to Thushara - our driver and tour guide, who became a dear friend. To this day when someone asks us what was the best in our Sri Lanka trip, without a hesitation we repeatedly answer - THUSHARA! :) We were a bit afraid of booking the trip in advance from Europe, but we can assure everyone that there is nothing to be afraid of. We were taken care of greatly, we were always comfortable and Thushara was always one step ahead predicting our needs and facilitating them. We saw incredible views, we immersed ourselves into the culture and definitely fell in love with Sri Lanka. We need to be back one day and there is no one else other than Thushara who we would like to explore this beautiful country with. Thank you so much!

During the trip, everything was exceptionally well organized, and a special mention goes to our guide and driver, Dayal. His experience, kindness, and helpfulness truly made the difference. He was flexible in accommodating our requests and changes of plans, and always gave us valuable advice on what to prioritize and how to best schedule our days.

It was a 12 day trip in Sri Lanka for me and my husband with private guided tour. I found them online and it is a trustworthy agency. Anjali the girl from the agency replied to all our needs before and during our stay. The tour was well organized, the hotels were nice as well as the itinerary. Our Guide Thushara was amazing from the beginning till the end. He knows very well the country and the culture and he explained everything in detail. He is the best guide that we ever had and he made our trip so special. Definitely ask for him if you book a tour and you won’t regret it . Thank you so much Thushara for everything!

So it was my 1st trip to wonderful Sri Lanka with Olanka travel.
Can tell,that this is trustfull agency.
They made for me so active tour,and less for a week I explored half of island without stress and rush.

We’ve just returned from an unforgettable 18-day journey across the beautiful island of Sri Lanka, and it was nothing short of extraordinary—thanks entirely to the incredible team at Olanka Travels.

From the very beginning, Shanika was a dream to work with. She was responsive, professional, and wonderfully attentive to our needs. Organizing a trip for a group of six can be complicated, but Shanika made it feel effortless. Every detail of our itinerary was carefully curated to match our interests and preferences, and no request was ever too much. Her attention to detail, efficiency, and warm communication gave us total confidence from start to finish—and made the planning process stress-free and enjoyable.

We also had the added pleasure of meeting Shanika in person on our last day in Colombo, which was an absolute treat. It was lovely to finally put a face to the name behind the flawless organization. Her warmth and genuine care for our experience shone through in person just as it did throughout the planning stages.

Equally amazing was our driver and guide, Shalom. From the moment we met him, we knew we were in good hands. He was consistently punctual, professional, and incredibly friendly. The vehicle was spotless, spacious, and comfortable throughout our journey—an essential part of making long drives pleasant.

Shalom’s local knowledge and thoughtful recommendations added so much depth to our experience. He was always attentive to our needs and made sure we felt comfortable and safe wherever we went. His passion for sharing the beauty and culture of Sri Lanka was clear every step of the way, and by the end of the trip, we felt like we were saying goodbye to a dear friend.

Absolutely not 1) They scammed me by promising something & reality was completely 2) it takes you 100 call to get 1 answer during critical situation (3)I had to drag and carry my luggage in the middle of nowhere & lost 6 hours of my day when their driver hit a pedestrian with no acknowledgement or compensation from them. If you have already registered with them, make sure you don't complete payment until you return as they are not trustworthy. it was truly a very disappointing experience with them

Mr Kosala made great arrangements for us and the tour guide MrJanith Perera was very efficient and quality of the vehicle was good. Look forward to visiting again.

Well organized tour by Olanka travels. Rashmi prepared the itineraries and worked patiently with us to make multiple customizations. Our tour guide Indika did an excellent job and made sure we had everything that we needed.

We got the Olanka through friends and we feel without knowing them
Do the payment was risky but it’s not happen like that. Rashmi was there to made selection of places and hotels and through the journey following up for the facilities and options. Recommend from my side.

Our experience with Olanka travels was good but we did have a few hiccups.
We were given the wrong number of the driver, and couldn't contact anyone when we landed which caused oanic.Some of the rooms which were given to us were also not of the best quality.
But want to mention that Divyanjalee was very helpful and always available for taking questions and helping us.
Special mention of our driver Lakhmal who was very good and he drove us around and showed us srilanka.

It was a great vacation. Everything was organised brilliantly. Hotels were very clean and hygiene. Driver Douglas was extremely polite. English spoken. Excellent driver and very focused and smooth in driving. Very ethical in nature

With Olanka experience was excellent from day one till last day. Overall excellent experience and u would wish them all the very best and keep up the excellent job

2 week trip. Our guide Saliya was outstanding. He is a great driver, very much fun to be with, and very knowledgeable. The major drawback for us was the location of several of the hotels that were far outside the cities/towns, so we were unable to walk about after a touring day or to find alternative places to eat. The train ride was disappointing despite the views along the way. The train is dirty with windows you could barely look out of. This was 1st class and I can't imagine what 2nd or 3rd was like. Overall great vacation but now I know better what to ask for when setting up tour. Olanka itself is a first class organization

While deciding on our honeymoon destination, we knew we didn’t want to spend the whole time sunbathing at boring beaches, but we also didn’t want to tire ourselves out with overwhelming hikes. We wanted a little bit of everything, and that’s exactly what we got! We ventured through the jungle in multiple safaris, climbed tall and beautiful mountains, sunbathed at jaw-dropping beaches, got to experience a different culture and taste the delicious local food. However, we were also offered something we never expected: a new friend. What initially was falsely advertised as a “private driver” turned out to be one of the kindest, most knowledgeable and enthusiastic people we’ve ever met. Thushara, who we thought would be our chauffeur, ended up being so much more! For starters, he’s a living encyclopedia. He knows every single detail about everything in Sri Lanka. On top of that, he always attended to our every need, even if it required some creative improvisation. If all that weren’t enough, he was also constantly looking out for us. Between his connections, his kindness and his forward-thinking, no obstacle got in our way.
We definitely recommend this experience, especially our guide Thushara, who we hope to see again soon.

Thank you @ Olanka travels for planning an amazing srilanka tour for our family. Ms Ama Kaveesha was very receptive of our requirements and made sure it was well catered to all the age groups. Our driver Dinesh was very cordial, very smooth driving and took us around our 7 day long journey very efficiently. His suggestions regarding local food and shopping were exceptional!
My kids had a wonderful time with Srilankan wild life, would definitely want to come back for more!!
