I purchased their service because I though this process would save me trouble - come to find I still need to take multiple manual steps myself: going to print a photo, going to fedex, etc. Its not clear what this service actually provides.
Worst - they've had me fill out the necessary form but there is no way to download it in a printable format, and customer service is inaccessible.

I was hesitant to use an online service because I was traveling the following week. I thought about driving to Atlanta 6 hr drive each way plus who knows how long at the center so I took a chance and tried this service. I am so glad I did. They kept in contact thru emails every step of the way and when I called the service people were excellent. I highly recommend using this company especially since I NEVER give out 5 stars bc I believe there is always room for improvement but with them I give 5 stars! BTW passport arrived a day earlier than expected.

GovWorks. Well, in short was phenomenal!
Everything is laid out in a easy to read, and directions are easy to follow to complete your application. You complete everything online, called the 800 # as directed, went to the passport agency they provide (close to my house) and in 48 hours I had my passport.
Very simple, and highly recommend.

Avoid at all costs!
UPDATE: I received an email from the billing department today promising a PARTIAL refund. The company still refuses to refund the full amount I paid for a service that I never received and on which they did no work. Since not even a partial service was rendered, I'm baffled that this "does not qualify" for a full refund.
I should note that I only finally received any response after taking the steps outlined below to report fraud to consumer protection agencies. I stand by my original review: This is a despicable, dishonest company with terrible business practices and should be avoided at all costs.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: I paid almost $600 for a falsely advertised service and am still fighting for a refund months later despite cancelling within 30 minutes of my original order.
I ordered the "Same day (24 hours)" passport renewal service in June. I immediately gathered all required documents and submitted my application. When I called to speak to my account manager, Anika Graham, she informed me that they could not actually complete the service within 24 hours and that it would really take several business days. Because they could not perform the service advertised, I immediately requested cancellation (and cancelled my travel plans). Anika assured me over the phone that a cancellation had been submitted, but that a refund may take up to 30 days to process. I also received two confirmation emails from the billing department that the cancellation had been submitted and was processing.
Fast forward to now, more than 60 days later, and still no refund. The phone number to the "billing department" redirects to a third-party customer service department that cannot provide any information.
I have opened a fraud dispute with my credit card company and have filed complaints with the FTC and BBB for false advertising and poor business practices.
Bottom line: DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!
Poor QA, Data Validation & Communication
As a website, they ONLY expedite passport processing for people who have travel on the books already. (IE: you cannot choose to use their services, say if you want to complete the process from the comfort of your own home.) They will take your money, then they tell you that you can't use their services, then they tell you it'll take several days to get your money back.
You never should have charged my card if you couldn't deliver upon the services which you are marketing. You had all the data points and you still took my money. I'm dissatisfied & disappointed in Passport Center. You built out infrastructure for a cool service (ie: passports online), then limited the scope of your customers. I personally see that as a short-sighted business decision, and see no reason to limit / restrict which customers can use the tools which you've created.

Very pleased with the quick turnaround
Very pleased with the quick turnaround. I paid for the next day service, which is actually a week - "next day" apparently means they drop off the paperwork the day after they receive it, and pick it up the next day. Combined with two days for shipping, the actual time took four business days. Nonetheless, I have my passport in time for travel! My only complaint is the lack of proactive updates, I had to call each day for a status.

DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU NED IN UNDER A WEEK. I tried to get a passport on Monday that I need by Friday. I filled out all of the info. and they charged my card and when I finally had to call in to finalize the lady said they wouldn't be able get me the passport in that amount of time na dI would need to request a refund. When I did that they tried to deny it because I accepted their terms of service. Well, they could not fulfill what they said they could and should have never charged my card to begin with. After making dispute with my CC company and numerous calls and e-mails they finally agreed to refund my money. JUST FYI, You can usually drive to a passport government office yourself and get a passport the same day, that is what I ended up doing. I drove top Hot Springs Arkansas and got there at 8:00 and had my passport by 11:30 the same day. It only cost $175.00 instead of the almost $1,000 it would have been through these scam artists.

I firmly believe any of these negative reviews are because someone incorrectly filled out the paperwork, etc which delayed their passports. I would 100% recommend this service to anyone. As of today, all is better. Talked to your customer service late yesterday, who helped my difficulties. Will have to get doc printed and in mail today. Fingers crossed.

Buyer beware...
My daughter needed to renew her passport and came across their website. The next day, I saw that they had charged my credit card twice and we called to correct the situation. The agent reportedly agreed to put in a cancellation on the duplicate and on further inquiry of the service to be provided, I asked if we could just cancel everything. Again, agent agreed to put in for cancellation and sent us two separate cancellation request emails. With this, we did not send her passport to them for renewal and they did not provide any additional service. HOWEVER, they did not refund the money and I had to initiate disputes through Amex. To date, I have been successful in getting one of the two charges removed but the other Passport center states in their agreement that they can keep the money even if the service is canceled; something that was not disclosed to us by the agent who put in the cancelations. Overall, I found this folks very disreputable and would not recommend them to anyone. If you do use them, I hope your experience is better than mine.
PS - passport center has now credited back the charges. Would still advise reading their refund policy carefully before proceeding.
