After thoroughly reviewing your case, your filing was not submitted as the director verification was not completed. Before any filing can be submitted through our platform, all directors and users must complete identity verification. This is a mandatory compliance requirement.
Online Filings is an Authorised Corporate Service Provider registered with Companies House and supervised by HMRC for Anti-Money Laundering purposes. These checks are in place to protect both businesses and the integrity of UK company filings.
We also provide service descriptions and FAQ pages throughout the ordering process to help customers understand the service being selected and any steps required before placing an order.
We appreciate that compliance steps can sometimes feel frustrating, particularly if a filing is time sensitive. However, as the verification process was not completed, the filing itself could not be submitted.
Online Filings is a private service provider and customers also have the option to file directly with Companies House if preferred.

Easy Enough
Everything was pretty simple, from just scanning the QR code and following the instructions. I would have given a 5 but the photo ID verification step was quite annoying as the camera access button in the procedure simply would not work. I had to go to my phone settings and then allow the browser permission to use the camera, then it went fluidly enough.

Pretty easy, except for reminders.
I kept getting emails to remind me to complete the form, yet I wasn't allowed to complete until.14 May so that was annoying to remind me something I couldn't action.

ONLINE FILLINGS LIMITED, don't forget the name of this company, but let me say this from the beginning: stay away from this company and never do business with them because they are operating a system that can victimize you by using the name HMRC.
About 10 days ago, I came across them on Google for VAT Registration. Seeing HMRC, I thought it was reliable and started filling out the form, but first, the payment system appeared (£70.80) and I paid, and there was no warning about a refund. While I was continuing to fill out the form, a problem occurred and I couldn't continue. The next day, because I didn't feel comfortable working with this company, I requested a refund. Since it was the weekend, they responded on Monday and asked me to fill out a form because I requested a refund. I filled it out and explained that I had changed my mind, and a few days later, SOPHIE An employee named [Name of employee] emailed me and stated that a full refund was not possible, but as a gesture of goodwill, they could only refund half of the amount. They refunded £35.40 to my bank account. All these communications were conducted via automated messages and emails. I am writing this again: stay away from this ONLINE FILLINGS LIMITED company and don't waste your money.

Online Filings is a private service provider and this is shown on our website, we provide tools and support to help customers complete registrations, but the official submission process is still carried out with the relevant government body.
In this case, your VAT registration order was started but not completed. As explained during the process, once work has begun on preparing and processing an order, a refund may not always be available in full. This is set out in our terms, and is standard for services where administrative work has already been carried out.
That said, as a gesture of goodwill, a partial refund was issued.
We’re sorry the experience did not meet your expectations. If you ever choose to use our services again, we’ll be happy to support you through the process from start to finish.

Having completed my filing on the 13/04/26 I received a letter from companies house saying it was filed late and that I could be fined, so don't know what happened there. I then used online filings again to change the address and it went through no problem

I would have prefer if I had all the information I needed for the filling to be able to speed up the process.
