She has always been kind, patient, and incredibly supportive. In my search for a course provider for the Cert III in Individual Support, I was assisted by Nicole from OpenColleges. Nicole was very helpful, polite and patient. As I spoke with her on the phone, she was very easy to talk to and efficiently guided me through the enrollment process, giving me a lot of clarity about the program and unique learning platform. She was able to answer all of my questions and made my experience with OpenColleges the best among the various providers I inquired with this month. Daniel Acland was very helpful in helping me to understand the differences in courses and course providers. He ensured I made the right decision based on my circumstances and needs while also going out of his way to ensure I was confident in my decision. I gained a clear understanding of the course I was enrolling in.

After my initial online enquiry into studying the Certificate III course in Horticulture, Phyllis (an Education Consultant with Open Colleges) provided me with comprehensive information about both the Certificate II and III courses during a follow-up phone call. She gave me a clear outline of the benefits and expectations of each course, also providing clarity on study/work placement requirements and payment options. She also understood and reflected my passion for plants and gardening, which I appreciated.

I had a great experience speaking with Ke, who was extremely efficient and knowledgeable in guiding me through the course details, payment options and enrolment process. They explained everything clearly, answered all my questions with confidence, and made the entire process quick and stress-free. I really appreciated their professionalism and helpful approach.

Anjum made the experience seamless and easy to follow and understand. And very polite, as well.

It was pretty obvious that this new course had not been thoroughly QA'd. Several incorrect references which the OC team were advised. In addition, for each video upload there should me a maximum file size - these varied across the course. I ended up buying a video editor to enable me to cut-down videos to meet the upload size restrictions.
Structurally, there was insufficient information about the overall program - especially the Workplace activities. The work load and types of required assessments of the 2 - part assessment was inadequately defined. 23 separate assessments, requiring over 40 videos was a "hidden gem" ... not. My supervisor was not impressed at how much work they had to do to enable me to complete the assessments.
Too much repetition re PPE - it must have been re-assessed many times - this meant there was less factual content especially re propagation and care for different types of plants. e.g. I wouldn't have learned how to prune a rose bush - and, from this course, I should have learned this technique.

I spoke to Rosa Leone about the Accounts and Bookkeeping course and she was very knowledgeable and helpful. She answered all my questions clearly without hesitation and she was friendly and positive throughout the conversation. She didn’t rush or pressure me into anything and when I said I wanted time to think about it she respected that and followed up the next day.
So far my experience with Open Colleges is positive and I would recommend them to everyone.
