I just want to say how pleased I am to have chosen to have lens replacement surgery with Optimal Vision
I’ve just turned 60 and my reading sight was deteriorating. Constantly fighting to find my glasses
Amazingly, I’d never heard of Lens replacement, and rather stumbled on it having booked in for a different procedure.
Having taken the plunge, I can’t be happier. Its currently 3 weeks post op, and I can now read even the tiniest writing – Not reaching for my glasses is the strangest feeling.
As for the op itself, well, the thought of it was far worse than the op itself.

I had my Lasik surgery and I can't be grateful enough for all the care, explanations, tests and help throughout the whole procedure. Honestly I never had any discomfort, the whole laser procedure lasted very short for both eyes and now I'm enjoying the world without glasses :) i can't be thankful enough!
I will recommend the clinic forever!

Had my initial consultation changed on 2 occasions, I arrived for my 16:15 appointment at 16:05 and was still waiting to be seen at 16:45. The waiting room was full and the lady next to me had been waiting since 15:00 to be seen and it was now 16:45. Very unprofessional and poor customer experience at the Birmingham clinic. I’ve now cancelled and will go elsewhere.

It was lovely staff, easy and the place clean and big, to be honest I was scared at the beginning but they made everything easy and also proffesional, I highly recommend it.

My prescription was a -8. I had ICL done and it was the best decision ive made tbh. my only regret is that i shouldve done it sooner. Dr mani was amazing, i had each eye done on different days due to eye pressure not going down. The staff were incredibly friendly and looked after me. The receptionist was a star as she helped me order an uber after my surgery. Honestly from the consultation,the people, the surgery and the aftercare i couldnt recommend a better place.

My wife and I had replacement lens. From start to finish, the checks. tests and consultations were very thorough and very professional. The surgery itself was exactly as they had explained it would be. Painless and quick. The after treatment follow-up checks are reassuring and all part of the price paid. Overall, all of the staff were exemplary and Dr Manni certainly knows his stuff. We fully recommend Optimal Vision and truly doubt you'd get better service anywhere else.

This is my 2nd review as I am now at the 3 month stage, post procedure. From the beginning through to today, Optimal Vision have been exemplary in ALL respects. Great team, who really know their stuff and Dr Mani has been superb throughout! I WAS very apprehensive before starting this process BUT I am now a total advocate of this teams work. The procedure was ABSOLUTELY painless and the results have been 'simply amazing' in all aspects. My CLARITY of sight now is incredible, COLOURS are now amazing and absolutely NO need for glasses with Long, Medium and short vision fully restored! Cataracts GONE, blurred vision GONE, being blinded by oncoming light whilst driving at night GONE. If you are considering having your eyes done, JUST DO IT - Simple as !

While I am sure that every person differs in their results, I have worn glasses since the age of 3, and recently had to have 3-4 pairs of glasses (one near, one kindle, one far and driving sunglasses).
I always used to forget one pair which could be catastrophic (and could not use bi / multi focal.

I have this done in March, could see reasonably OK the next day, had 20/20 vision the next week and I just had my 60 days review and things are looking good. There are a couple of small inconsequential (for me anyway) side effects to this but I was made aware up-front and my brain is still currently processing these changes.

It was professionally done with me being kept up-to-date both throughout the appointments as well as on the day of the operation.
While not cheap, for me it is worth every penny ... goodbye glasses !

I had LASIK eye surgery at Optimal Vision. It has been 3 months since surgery and I feel great. It’s been a life changing experience for me. Optimal Vision have been absolutely brilliant, the staff are very professional and friendly and make you feel welcome. They addressed all my concerns and post operation service has been excellent too.
Rima, Dr Manish, Dr Mani and their team have been great. I would highly recommend Optimal Vision.

An honest consultation. I was determined suitable for LASEK, and not LASIK. I decided not to go through with it and they respected my decision. The actual consultation was brilliant. Very friendly and informative. I’d trust them with my eyes.

My LRE Review

From my very first appointment, I was made to feel comfortable. I met the surgeon, and we discussed the different lens options, what to expect, the cost, and whether I wanted to proceed or take time to think. I said straight away, "Let’s do it!"

As the surgery date approached, I became increasingly anxious. On the day, I was extremely nervous—but the team didn’t seem fazed at all, which was reassuring. I think I had my teeth gritted the entire time during surgery! But after the first eye was done, I was amazed at how quick it was. It honestly felt similar to being at the dentist—you know something is happening, but it's not painful.

By the time the second eye was being done, I was already much more relaxed.

Afterwards, I thought to myself: what on earth was I so anxious about? It really wasn’t that bad. I think it’s just the fear of having something done to your eyes—but it’s no worse than then going to the dental filling, minus the drill or any real discomfort. You don’t actually feel anything.

My vision was blurred after the procedure, though I could see my phone (I avoided using it as advised). I stayed in a dark room for the rest of the day, avoiding screens and light, knowing that healing would happen quicker that way.

The next morning, I was thrilled—I picked up my phone and could read my messages without my glasses for the first time! I attended my follow-up appointment the day after surgery. My near vision was great, and although my distance vision was a bit blurry, that was expected. The team was pleased with my progress and assured me it would all continue to improve.

You’re given eye drops. A night-time shields to wear for the first week, which helped a lot. I also borrowed my son's sunglasses since my old ones were prescription—everything felt so bright afterwards, so definitely bring a pair with you.

I had a really good experience with the whole process overall and was happy with the results - in the short term.

I had my laser eye surgery done around 2 years ago, at the age of 23. I just wanted to post this as I would caution against having it done at a young age, which I don’t think was discussed with me enough at the time - although I accept responsibility for having it done still.

They offer a one year guarantee (ie give a free follow-up surgery if there are any problems within one year), but just after this guarantee period I noticed problems with my eyesight and now have to wear glasses again. It’s been pretty sad to experience my eyesight degrading at such a speed, since I only had the surgery two years ago, but perhaps this is to do with my age.

Anyway, long story short, great clinic but do be wary if you are a young person (aka in your 20s)!

Particularly good experiences were the rigorous follow-ups and the friendliness of the staff :-)

Don't let the 3-stars dissuade you from going to this clinic. Dr Mani is surperb at what he does, the Lasik I received exceeded my expectations and I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

The 3 stars is mainly due to being kept waiting for my appointment for nearly 2 hours (1.45 hours to be exact). I arrive at the stated time, they didn't see me until 1.45 hours after that time. The reason/apology given was infuriating. God forbid other people with the same first name (not 2nd name) show up too, if you're the lesser important one- then good luck to you. They'll forget and keep you waiting until your patiences dries up and you remind them that yes- you are here for your check up and you were waiting nearly 2 hours. The disrespect in them being so late, and the reason they provide is yet another disrespect on top.

Dr Mani changed my life! I did LASIK of both eyes in May and even after a month still can’t believe that I can see so well. Thanks a lot to Dr Mani and his team for a professionalism and friendliness to make vision correction experience safe and easy!

I had my surgery almost a month ago and everything went very well. Everyone is very professional and all the people I have met during this journey have been super nice. Dr Mani made me feel comfortable since the first visit and I would like to say to him a big thanks.

I had my lasik procedure performed just yesterday. Dr. Mani and his staff were completely professional and welcoming. They thoroughly explained all of the various surgical options, preparatory procedures leading up the surgery, answered any and all questions I had before and after the lasik surgery was performed. The actual surgery was pain-free and I only felt as though I had a stinging sensation as though having cut an onion for a bit after the numbing drops had worn off 30 minutes later. As advised, I went home and took a nap for 4 hours to awake with perfect 20/20 vision - which as I wearer of glasses since the age of 11 was profoundly life changing. (I am now 48 years of age.) I would (and have already) recommend Optimal Vision, particularly Dr. Mani to everyone interested in vision correction. A million thanks...my only regret is that I should have had it done many moons prior. 🙏

The service was excellent from my initial consultation, surgery day to my post op appointment. Dr Mani is an excellent surgeon and I was confident to have my surgery after I had spoken to him. He reassured me and made me confident to go ahead with the surgery. I would thoroughly recommend the clinic and surgeon to anyone.

I had an amazing experience with optical vision. From my initial call with Sherazade, the consultation and procedure with Dr. Mani and his team, to the aftercare, every part of this journey was flawless.
The procedure itself lasted about 10 minutes and was not painful. However, you will need someone to accompany you home after the procedure, as your eyes are very sensitive to light.
I had a next-day consultation, where I did a few tests, and it was confirmed I had 20/20 vision. It’s vital, though, to follow the weeklong recovery plan, take your eye drops regularly, and not touch your eyes!
