OVH used to be the go to for bare metal dedicated servers is Australia, now they no longer offer one, and have not for some time now, you need to look else where if you're after a game dedicated server.
Cannot cancel a server. Support has stalled for over 10 days.
I have been trying to cancel a dedicated server for over 10 days and OVH support has done nothing but deflect, delay, and demand justification for a cancellation I am fully entitled to make.
The cancellation dashboard throws a "Service Not Found" error on every server on my account. The API returns a 403 Forbidden / INVALID_CREDENTIAL error even when authenticated. I reported both issues with screenshots in my very first message and explicitly asked not to be sent back to tools I had already confirmed were broken.
Support took 5 days to send an initial response, which told me to use the broken API. Since then, they have asked me multiple times to provide a "valid reason" for cancelling, as if wanting to leave is not reason enough. They raised a fake discrepancy about server names to delay things further. Meanwhile, the server remained active and I was billed for another full billing cycle.
After 8+ exchanges over 10 days, the server is still running and I am still being charged for it.
I have been a long-term customer with multiple accounts and numerous dedicated servers. This is how OVH treats you when you try to leave. They make it as difficult as possible. Avoid if you value your time or your money.

I signed up for VPS and couldnt login, so tried to cancel and its not possible, they lock you in and then spend days/weeks giving you the run around. AVOID SCAMMERS AND CREATE CHARGBACK WITH YOUR BANKS DIRECTLY! For eny assistence regarding CH - wrime me here

I got a standard server and had my domain with another registrar, and when i entered the nameserver for OVH it came up not propagating, so then i made a ticket and got a phone call from support, they advised me to transfer my domain to them, so i did, but my tech said my new website wont run on there server, so i tried to change nameserver to my temp host, but OVH wouldn't change it from their end, we tried for 2 weeks and no luck. Then after getting very frustrated because when i rang their support it came " due to tech difficulties we can't answer your call. we tried 4 different numbers here in Australia and got no where, so i told them fix this dns issue or i am going else where, they kept sending 5 - 6 times we propose a solution, then i sent them this notice: I want my host money back and my domain unlocked. You would have to the dumbist host provider ever. You have stopped me from starting my business. Release my domain and refund me my money or i will report this and sue you for loss of incomm. YOU HAVE KIDNAPPED MY DAMAIN. i paid for a service and i cant even fucken use it. You have 24 hours to refund me and unlock my domain or i will take this further. They then sent my this: Dear customer,
Your domain name *****.com is currently registered at OVHcloud.
We would like to inform you that this service is now suspended.
Your domain name is being deleted. They are thieves and liars don't trust this pricks.
Now tell your story of your bad experience here: ovhcloud.co yes it's .co it's time everyone had a say and have their voices heard.

My experience with OVH has been disastrous.
Not because of the technical issue itself, but because of the way the support team handled it from the very beginning.
My database went into READ ONLY mode, which meant I could not clean or modify anything. This was clearly stated in my ticket. Instead of helping, the support team replied with a generic message telling me to delete files via phpMyAdmin.
The most frustrating part was not the incident but how OVH dealt with it.
They completely ignored the details I provided.
They closed the ticket as “resolved” even though nothing had been fixed.
They did not check the database.
They did not read the message.
They did not investigate the cause.
They did not offer even a temporary unlock, which would have allowed me to access my site and fix the corrupted data myself.
Instead of assisting, they pushed the upsell.
Their only real suggestion was to pay more for a larger plan, even though the issue was triggered by abnormal data growth and could have been solved by simply unlocking the database long enough for me to clean it.
What they've done after? They closed the ticket as solved.
This was not support.
This was a sales pitch disguised as technical assistance.
For a hosting company, the minimum expectation is competence, attention, and a willingness to help the customer regain control of their site. I received none of these.
After this experience, I will be moving every domain I have away from OVH.
A hosting provider that cannot read a support ticket and responds with copy paste recommendations instead of solutions is not a provider you can trust.

They deleted my entire VPS instance because I was a few days for a payment since I changed payment method. They gave no warning or communication and were unable to restore the instance or its backups. All business email and the main hosting instance was lost. The web pages take literally 5 seconds to load and as someone who builds these types of systems, I found it hard to use theirs.
I couldn't recommend them any less. Waste of thousands of dollars. Support was days later and less than helpful.

Took a month to resolve an issue on their end with network connectivity. Gave us the run around and on multiple times had us repeat testing steps that required us to take down our production server. Despite using their Proxmox configuration guide they blamed us for the issues and gave conflicting messaging about what they were actually doing to investigate it on their end.
Sadly could not recommend their services in you need reliability and a service provided with due care.

I have been a customer for a couple of years- heaving VPS Bare Metal Cloud - which was a huge disappointment. Waiting for a feedback related to a reported incident was take 2 days other communication even 4 days waiting for a feedback.
Forget to have any support from Australia, Canadian Tech support barely speak english. After one week that an entire VPS was down still no results of tech support actions except explanations that the the situation was caused by me and they can't do anything. Gateway to SSH connection - all data on the server lost, system files corrupted. I haven't encountered such treatment of the customer and such incompetence in over 20 years of my professional career.
OVH website does not work properly, help desk resources out of date, support links are mostly 5-10 years out of date :-/
Cancellation of service - removal of VPS service has been going on for 2 days now because the links confirming the cancellation operation do not work properly.
Big disappointment.

OVH are really proud of their billing, and why not, they take money really well! But cancellation? Somehow they've broken that part.

price is higher than others make me think they are good but the reality even USA located or Germany work fester than Australian vps and the problem no chance to cancel the service they not allowed to do this even no contract ? i contact then i get other responses and call just close the line when choosing billing the only way t stop this scams contact PayPal if you use it if card i can say bad luck you hooked up

I'm highly experienced with servers (close to 20 years). I've had some poor experiences with hosts before, but this is FAR & AWAY the worst. After an entire day of myself and our server admin screwing with their utterly useless instructions, we just gave up trying to deploy the VPS we'd purchased from OVHcloud.
We were repeatedly provided with instructions that DO NOT provide you with access to purchased services. Additionally, multiple "help" links in support emails lead to 404 error pages. I found support to be unhelpful at best and as useful as a screen door on a submarine at worst. Responses were slow. Questions were overtly stupid. Answers were uninformative and/or outright inaccurate.
Their billing system has all the hallmarks of a scam. It is impossible to terminate services via their admin panel, just as it's impossible to delete payment methods or even pause automatic payments from your nominated payment source. This is contrary to what their own support pages state. The "instructions" for account cancellation are a work of complete fiction. Buttons to "pause" or "cancel" are unclickable. I have screenshots. I will be opening a dispute with Visa card tomorrow - no need to wait with this crew.
I really don't know if their issue is simple incompetence or outright fraud. Either way, the consequences are the same. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this company.

As expected, a response that may as well have been from a robot. Take notice of this. It's EXACTLY what you can expect from OVHcloud support; mindless copy/paste responses which fail to address the problem in any way.

Today, my bank issued me with a full refund to my credit card, after I opened a dispute. Once again, beware of this company.
