I have a pre pay electricity meter in…

I have a pre pay electricity meter in November 2024 I had a power cut which completely blew my meter so I'm.on this free vend despite countless phone calls to OVO nothing eventually they sent an engineer out in April who broke a screw head since then thy have done nothing ti's company is very nasty I'm going to have to take them to court now as they won't admit responsibility for what they have caused I'm a vulnerable customer this has lead me to try and take my life it's disgusting that this company is allowed to act like this I've had no apology also 2 failed calls which they still haven't paid me over that I've even emailed Stephen fitzpatrick there director who has not even acknowledged these emails this company is appalling fitting meters is there bread and butter work and they can't even get that right they a a joke

Absolute thieving animals!

Absolute thieving animals! - Have a very reasonable direct debit amount set up with them maybe feel short by £20 on the odd month and would clear the balance almost immediately. Twice they decide to up the DD to over £100 more than what I was using. So they could have my money on account at all times incase we ever used more than what was being paid for on the direct debit but by a huge amount. I don't want to be in credit with them and happy to clear balance as and when and ill manage my own debit thank you. I call their customer service centre and its India central useless morons on the phone who just hang up on you for no reason and I'm not even being rude just asking for my DD to be returned to what it was before they just changed it without even informing me. Have cancelled the direct debit now and will pay them monthly on invoice only. NOT TO BE TRUSTED WITH YOUR DIRECT DEBIT and will be leaving them the moment the contract is up. YOU ABSOLUTE GREEDY THEIVING ANIMALS!

Greedy company that outsources to robots

Greedy company that outsources customer service to asian centres, which consists of people reading from an auto cue, 'computer says no' and no sign of human interaction.
They wanted to charge me over my usage during summer months and would not listen to the fact that they would be building a nice level of credit their side that simply doesn't belong to them.
Only choice was to cancel my DD and pay manually until I moved to Octopus - they continue to have their robot call me daily to leave debt collection messages...bye bye guys, go and find someone else to steal from (or perhaps develop some ethics and steal from nobody??). DISGUSTED.

I left OVO years ago for octopus. I paid my last bill and they kept charging my account. I have contacted them 3 times, every single time they have looked into it and told me they would sort it but I am still getting emails saying I owe them money.

Crazy Final Bill for Pay As You Go Meter

I was using a Pay as You Go Meter. I was formally a Boost customer before it was moved to OVO, never used emergency credit and as it works, power and gas go off when you run out of the credit your purchased.
I left the property and OVO send a "Final Bill" of almost 400quid. HOW?
What am I being charged for? They said I was accumulating debts, how do you accumilate debts in a Pay as You go system? (The hint is in the name)
I'd never touch them with a 10foot stick and I definitely will share their terrible, exploitive nature to warn other unsuspecting users.

THE WORST EVER!

THE WORST EVER!
Find out serial number doesn’t match on my meter. Ovo has charged me over £2000 and asking me for to pay.
My first report for the problem was in 2025 February. 7 week has passed and multiple case has opened, yet my issue haven’t been solved, they have changed the serial number to the right one only a week ago, now they saying the bill is correct and I need to pay.
I have evidence for every single email, readings, and history.
I report them to electric ombudsman and even if needed take the company to court!

Telling me I generate a £2178 bill all myself alone in a 1 bedroom flat like I running an airport!
You out of your damn mind 😡

OVO - Non trustworthy with non existent costumer service.

Ovo Costumer Service is non existent. I have informed them that they have broken the law by instructing litigation whilst I have actively been in touch with them. They've added 1500.00 to a bill for a time I have not lived at the property and I am certain they will pursue me for this too. They have added a default on my account illegally. My credit is less 300 points. I have communicated with their call centre for 4 months and the call centre workers are admitting to not having enough power to sort my issue out with OVO. They can only go so far. It is my belief that OVO have a contract with a third party call centre and it does not communicate with OVO. The two systems do work together and communication is not shared. Please be careful of this company, they are not trustworthy.

Big thank you to JACQUE!

I want to say a big thank you to JACQUE for helping me with all my questions. English is not my first language, and she was so patient with me. I asked her a million questions, and even though I was frustrated, she was always kind and understanding.

I reached out to the chat again and was lucky enough to get her again—it was amazing! She solved something in less than two hours when I had been chasing OVO for three months to fix it. Emails, calls… nothing worked. Thank God I found you, JACQUE!

Very disappointed with ovo

Very disappointed with ovo, although iam entitled to warm home discount, several phone calls to government helpline and reassurance that they have sent my information to ovo confirming this, ovo are denying they have received this, after chasing this for so long now, my trust for ovo has slipped and will be looking for a new supplier now, thanks ovo for a very cold uncomfortable winter, nice to know you care about your vunerable customers!

What an awful company to deal with....

Appalling customer service, I've left OVO payed my final bill, now had a text message threatening "further action" if I don't pay???

Logged into my account, the balance is £0.00, nothing to pay?

Tried their online chat, which is essentially a bot that insists on "yes/no" answers for everything 🤷‍♂️

Had nothing but problems with SSE before OVO took it over, same issues with OVO, absolutely appalling company!

Ovo energy turned up on my doorstep…

Ovo energy turned up on my doorstep this morning because my bill was two weeks late. I tried to explain that their South African call centre hadn't addressed my problem, but once again they are refusing to show the slightest modicum of understanding. Once off script they refuse to help in any sort of way. Also, their command of the English language is appalling, which further obfuscates any attempt at resolving any problems you have with your bill.

I had a meter installer round to fit me a smart meter.But he could not fit it because the meter is in a box and he never had the tools to cut wood for the cables to run.
So he said i had to do it then make another appointment for installation!
What rubbish!

Ovo charges my account up £100 on my account per day!!!

Ovo charges my account up to a £100. Per day. I had bought my bill down to £500. Then it was £1,800 and something which ovo has been charging me up to £100 per day they still do and I have a direct debit with ovo. This was in December 2024. By the way before ovo took over my direct debit was £89 a month now it £359 a month!!!! My bill went from £500 to £1,619.19 in just one month this begin of January 2025.
They put the charges up £100 a day. I don’t even use my heating at all. I emailed ovo for an explanation, I was emailed back with no helpful explanation or information as to why this was the case. The ovo specialist Sthandiwe told me I haven’t submitted a reading. My reading was ready submitted. They put £100 or more charges on my account everyday. Then she had the nerve to say since she has sorted out my complain she has closed my case. I emailed back you have closed it but I haven’t.

I have informed OVO of the situation several times over the phoned and contacted via tell them once service.
They still keeping sending me letters of outstanding bills and wanting a meter reading even though this has been done.
I am devastated by my loss and find this behaviour is causing me so much distress.
Sort out your company bereavement service.

Con artists

I closed my account with a credit balance on it, they sent me a cheque for a refund of my credit then all of a sudden they're trying to tell me I now owe them money?! And not just a bit of money over £1000 even though I was never behind and always kept my account in credit, to the point I got a refund for that credit when I moved out and closed my account? Absolute joke of a company, I can't wait to see this one play out in court because I won't be paying them.
