Two 20 minute phonecalls on hold
The first indication of this penalty was on the day the notice arrived; no reminders, no prior warning. Two twenty minute phone calls on hold yielded no response. I tried the text option and was connected with a robot who took security details. I then had brief contact with 'a person' again by text. No opportunity to discuss options. Eventually, to rid myself of the problem I tried paying by bank transfer but was told twice, by on-line banking security, that there was a problem with the site. (It had been checked at my bank, in person.) So, I sent a cheque for the full amount which will cause a dent in my budget. In spite of all the options listed, none really worked. The date option given below does not cover the horrendous, stressful three days from 17-19 February 2025. I hope that the cheque will resolve the situation.
Set up an agreement with this company…
Set up an agreement with this company to pay off a creation debt and after two months of paying it they’ve sent it back to creation and I’ve basically been paying them for nothing. If this company contacts you and you set up an agreement to pay a debt they can just give it back to the company and break the agreement, do not trust them.
Con Artists
Tried to con me into paying a penalty for a car I don't even own anymore!
Avoid at all costs SCAM!
Avoid at all costs. I filed for self assessment tax on the 31st January 2025 and got a letter from this company say I owe nearly £3k on the 6th February 2025. Barring in mind I already paid this. Complete scam artists praying on the weak who will pay up without knowing this a scam.
Scam! Don't pay blindly!
We received a letter claiming we owe just under £22 in water charges from our old property. The first red flag was the fact that I am currently in credit with my water provider. Second red flag: The letter was addressed to my partner rather than me, even though the water account is in my name only. Third red flag: They claim they were appointed by United Utilities LIMITED. So I called UU to find out if this is legitimate. The lady confirmed that I am in credit and have no outstanding payments. She also confirmed that UU do not operate under Ltd. She advised to not pay anything. And I won't. So PastDue Credit Solutions can get lost!
Do not just pay blindly. Get in touch with whoever apparently appointed PastDue first.
Cowboys
Absolute cowboy operation, emails and letters about a debt I allegedly owe to Three (I don’t). Surely it is a breach of my data protection for Three to pass my email, mobile and address to these charlatans.

Don't waste time - Take them to court immediately
Pastdue Credit Solutions unlawfully pursued me for a debt that was never mine. British Gas mistakenly assigned a previous tenant’s outstanding electricity bill (£792 for a single month!) to me. Despite my repeated explanations and evidence, Pastdue harassed me with threatening calls, treated me disrespectfully, and falsely claimed they had verified the debt with British Gas.
Thanks to the Citizens Advice Bureau, I escalated the issue legally and successfully had the case closed. However, the stress, anxiety, and mistreatment they caused me were unacceptable. Their tactics are unethical, and I strongly advise others to challenge any unjust claims from this company.

The most wicked company in the world
The company threatened to record a payment default against me to damage my credit file because of £66.16 while I was in dispute with their client.
They inundated me with text messages and letters for money I never owed their client.

Awful experience
I just tried to call up as I’m in debt and to my astonishment, the guy who answered the phone had such a strong accent I could not understand anything he said not to mention he had the wrong details for me. I had to put the phone down in the end because not only was he rude but he was completely illiterate and made no sense. Just hire people who speak English or people who are English that way English people will understand them. Working class people in lots of debt don’t want to have to desperately try to understand someone who barely speaks any English when it’s about their finances. Finances are very serious. Complete waste of time and I can’t get the help that I need. I’m going to have to contact a solicitors instead to get you vile swindlers off my back, clever set up you have putting people off calling and making it impossible for them to log into their account because you have the wrong details for them and that way you can keep charging the money customer ID3004 1110
Impossible
This Company is impossible to deal with and as useless as a chocolate fireguard in communicating. No point in sending an email as they do not respond.
Fraud company, runs scams
This is a fraud company that sends out dodgy sms claiming to collect money, without the correct details. Do NOT click on their links. The download files have malware in them.
I called hmrc and they confirmed they didn't authorise any debt collection as there was nothing to pay.
Reported them to actionfraud police uk
Absolutely awful experience
This company are absolutely awful to deal with. I have been sent a bill, OVO Energy Jan-March 2024 at my ex-partners house, when I moved out September 2023 and changed all my bills over. I have emailed them proof, claimed 'they don't accept email threads' - so I sent council tax bills etc to their head office to then have no confirmation anything was received. You try to call them, no response - you email them and your greeted with a chatbot and no response via email for days with little to no help when they do respond.
They are still texting me saying that I owe this money, for one I don't even have an OVO account!
Submitted a complaint without my…
Submitted a complaint without my consent. Sent a “final response” text chat is pointless. 2nd complaint will be submitted and then I will go to the ombudsman as the level of service here is shocking. As someone who has worked in customer service the staff need training
The company keep sending to me letters…
The company keep sending to me letters and they want from me £2042.85 as overdue paye tax. They don't have any details apart Name, address and phone number. Before i call them i contact with HMRC ask them why they put me to debt collector if i have to pay £241.85 untill end of January 2025. Person wrom HMRC (quite rude to me) just said, call the company we have nothing with the debt collector. Thats cost me a lot of stress and my health. I said them one more time any letter and i report them to Police. After that the lady from Pastdue Credit Solutions disconnected. Whats going on? Where from they have my address and phone number? I dont trust now even HMRC. anymore
Shocking company to have to deal with.
Shocking company to have to deal with.
They claim I own money to OVO, I have contacted OVO and they confirmed it was an error and my details should not have been passed to them.
The amount they tell me I owed also did not match with the amount that OVO had on my account in error.
I have since asked Pastdue to stop contacting me and for them to contact their client, which they have failed to do.
I have asked for them to forget me under the GDPR as is my right, but they have also failed to do this.
They have just carried on telling me I own money.
I can not see how they can continue to act on out of data information.
I recently received a letter and…
I recently received a letter and instructions to pay for someone who likely lived at my address before I purchased the property over two years ago. The letter includes a vehicle registration number. Concerned, I contacted the DVLA to confirm that both the vehicle and the person named in the letter are not registered at my address. The DVLA confirmed that this is indeed not the case.

initially I gave 1-star review, but thank you customer service team for your prompt action and updating your system, and confirming I will not get this letters any more!
They’ve got it wrong.
I am repeatedly getting letters to my address for someone that moved out over 30 months ago.
I can’t get them to answer the phone to change it.
