We are sorry you feel that protecting our couriers and future customers is horrendous service. To clarify, your order was for standard door delivery, which means items are delivered to the door of the property. When our courier contacted you to inform you they were on the way to deliver your new Dining furniture , you mentioned that your household had COVID-19 and requested that the delivery be brought inside. For safety reasons, our couriers are unable to enter homes where COVID-19 is present, to protect both their health and the safety of other customers. They offered to reschedule the delivery for a later date, which was done the following week.
As a goodwill gesture, the couriers went beyond the original delivery terms and brought the items into your property, even though this is normally included only with our “Room of Choice” delivery option for an extra fee.
We always aim to balance safety with excellent customer service, and we hope this explanation helps clarify the situation. Your feedback is important and will be used to continue improving our service.

Table is beautiful and very good quality. I would’ve given 5 stars, however, I waited over a month for delivery and u had to reach out for an update rather than company initiating customer update. The only contact I proactively received was day after I placed order to say there was a delay on delivery.

Certainly best to avoid!
Would I use this company again….Absolutely not!
Why?
1. Firstly the order was delayed, apparently on back order.
2. When I was finally given a delivery date, I waited in to then receive a text message within the last half hour of the time-slot it wouldn’t be delivered.
3. Then delivery was attempted but no prior notice was given so no one home.
4. Rearranged for an alternative date where only part of the order was delivered.
5. Finally two days later the remainder arrived only to be damaged.
They are quick to blame the courier but as their customer who has spent over £1000 I would have expected more urgency.
If only I could upload the pictures of the boxes delivered. They were a disgrace.
I wish I had shopped elsewhere!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to read of your disappointment and for the poor delivery experience you had. We would like to address each of the points you’ve raised:
‘Order was delayed, apparently on back order’ – At the time of ordering, the dining bench set was clearly shown to have several weeks’ dispatch time. Within 10 days of placing your order, we also informed you that the shipment from our supplier had been delayed slightly, so you were kept updated on the revised timeline.
2–5. Delivery delays, cancellations, split delivery, and damage – These issues were all down to the courier company. Unfortunately, once items leave our warehouse, we are reliant on them to deliver on schedule and in good condition. That said, we take responsibility for who we partner with, and based on your experience (and others), we have taken steps to no longer use this courier service.
‘Quick to blame the courier… expected more urgency’ – The problems you encountered were directly caused by the courier’s handling, which is why they were the focus of our explanation. If by urgency you mean not being able to reach us at the weekend, our office hours are clearly stated, and while we cannot respond outside of these, you always received a reply via email and phone as soon as we reopened.
Finally, although you decided to keep the bench with a small tear to the back which wouldn't be on show, we recognised the unacceptable service you endured and issued a £200 goodwill refund. We are disappointed this was not mentioned in your review, as we believe it demonstrated our effort to make things right despite circumstances outside our control.
We are truly sorry for the frustration caused. While we regret that your experience did not reflect the high standards we aim to deliver, please know that your feedback has been taken seriously, and changes have already been made to improve future service.

One of the very best pieces of furniture I have ever bought.
Great experience, from browsing through to choosing. User friendly site and good information,
Price was competitive, not cheap but I was happy with it,
Ordering and delivery were straightforward and I had already allowed for the waiting period so consequently was not impatient.
The finished product is the most wonderful chair I’ve ever bought, style, quality, colour, deep plush cushions, very high quality materials including all the mechanics to make it glide, swivel and recline effortlessly.

Hi, I would like to thank Jonny from Pendleton Village Furniture who helped me yesterday to choose a two seater reclining settee. I cam armed with a few basic measurements and a query of whether I could purchase a specific settee to fit in a specific small space. Jonny armed with a large tape measure showed us two manual recliners and wrote down the cost, length & width of each settee & delivery cost so I could discuss it with my hubby on my return. When I asked if he had any electrical recliners I was shocked to find that they were half the cost of the manual ones. Jonny duly plugged in first a chair and then the settee to allow me to experience the full recliner experience- wow! I was also given the dimensions of this settee, the delivery cost and the 8 weeks delivery wait. Considering these settees are made on the continent- their manufacturing time is surprisingly short.
If you’re after a professional, courteous, price conscious, and helpful furniture shopping experience- then I would recommend Pendleton Village Furniture as the one to visit first. Thanks for your advice Jonny, it was much appreciated.

Please DO NOT trust their warranty
Please DO NOT trust their warranty. Ordered a full bedroom set of wardrobe, chest of drawers and matching bedside tables (2). Ordered Sep 24, delivered Dec 24, assembled Jan 25. With only a few months use, handles on the drawers have become loose and 2 have now come off completely. Pendle Village refuse to rectify even though its clearly a design fault and poor quality. Pendle Village seem to stand by its not their responsibility as its been 8 months since delivery. Material on 1 table has lifted, but again Pendle Village deems this my fault for using cleaning products, even though all the other surfaces remain normal with the same cleaning product and method. Pendle Village seem to think 8 months is enough to class this a wear issue and not covered by warranty. Who buys a wardrobe/drawers sets with a view to getting less than 1 years proper use out of it? You wouldn't expect that from a car dealer if your door handles fell off after 8 months. Pendle Village have been given ample opportunity to put this right, unfortunately they refuse to, so it is now in the hands of Trading Standards. You've been warned!!
UPDATE: For clarity, it was explained in great detail in the reams of Whatsapp messages that the problem drawers were those that have daily usage. The others are secure because they see very little usage in comparison. The fact remains that whether its 1 month, 8 months, 1 year... handles should not become loose and fall off. This renders the drawers without proper functionality and therefore the product is not fit for purpose. If they become detached within 8 months with regular use, its a design fault.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re disappointed. To clarify, when an item arrives with a clear defect at delivery or during assembly (for example, a handle that cannot be fitted properly), this is treated as a defective part and replaced immediately — separate from warranty cover. In your case, the handles were fitted at assembly and only reported as loose after 8 months of use. If the pre-drilled holes were not secure from the start, this should have been raised at assembly so it could be rectified at that time. Leaving it for several months allowed the problem to worsen, which is why the manufacturer does not class it as a defect or warranty issue. The fact that the other handles in your set remain perfectly secure confirms this is not a design fault.
Regarding the bedside surface, the manufacturer’s care instructions are very clear: cleaning should be done with a damp cloth only. The use of spray-and-wipe cleaners and sponges can allow moisture to seep into the board, which leads to lifting. This type of damage is not classed as a manufacturing fault. For transparency, we even offered a replacement top on a chargeable basis, despite panels not normally being available individually.
Rauch is a renowned German manufacturer whose products are sold widely across Europe without known issues of this kind. We’ve shared their findings honestly and consistently with you, and while we regret that we could not provide the resolution you hoped for, we have followed the correct process to ensure warranty cover remains consistent and fair for all customers.
