Don’t buy their card!

Trust me. Never ever buy this perfect gift card! I don’t understand why Woolworths is still selling them, as the obvious feedback from consumers of how bad this card is.
I purchased a $100 eftpos card before Christmas as a gift. Luckily, I didn’t give it away and kept it for myself. Because the card was not activated at all. When I gone back to Woollies, they showed me transaction detail of another card ( not the one I took from shelf)being activated. They said couldn’t help me!
I reached out to the card issuer, been told that it’s woollies issue, I need to go back to them.

Woollies and the card issuer are kicking the balls, leaving me with a $100 loss. How pathetic they are!

Buyer beware

Buyer beware: If you don't use the perfect gift visa every month, $5.00 per month will be deducted! $200 balance. Used $100 for meal then didn't use until months later. Now has a balance of $42.00! That is $58.00 wasted that I didn't get to use. Just be sure to tell the receiver of the gift so they don't lose any monetary value of your gift.

Scam

Do not! DO NOT BUY THESE CARDS!

First off, you pay an activation fee just to purchase the card and then limited places that you can use it. If you do not use it, they take $3 a month until the card is depleted without letting you know until it happens. you have to go to the website and read the Fine print to know there is a service fee which I thought was illegal in Canada but apparently they have found a loophole.

If you want to give someone money as a gift, just give them cash.

This is the worst card you could every purchase for your family. They don't tell you that they start taking money off the card if you don't use it within the first year. I thought the law in alberta was that these type of cards never expire, well VISA must be exempt.
Please, Please do not buy this card, I had 100.00 on it and the customer service rep offered me $4.00. What a joke. Merry Christmas Visa.

Definately NOT the Perfect Gift

Definately NOT the perfect gift! Don't waste your money. This is supposed to be a gift card but they deduct $3 per month service fees from the card value if not used within the first year. What kind of gift card takes money away from the purchaser/ gift recipient!! And this information is not clearly identified in the packaging. You have to look for and read the fine print. Isn't it supposed to be illegal to have expiry dates on gift cards?!? Can't express how unsatisfied I am with this product. Stay away!!

Do not buy

Do not buy - the card just arbitrarily uses up the balance, total scam, no way to contact customer service. Brutal, my son is so dissappointed. The card was only 2 months past the 12 month purchase date and should have had $50 minus their 3/month maintenance fee times 2 but it is only worth $17.50, and it lists only 2 service fees. $50 less $6 should be $42 but nope, only $17.50 on the card. Total scam, it should be illegal to sell these.

DO NOT BUY THE PERFECT GIFT $100.00…

I received “The Perfect Gift” $100.00 it’s anything but perfect, it’s actually a complete rip off.
I hadn’t used the card and actually had forgotten about it, just found it in the desk and decided to check the balance, only to find out that it’s only got $52 left. They started charging the $3 a month after the first 12 months of reviewing the card. I never activated it.
The more frustrating thing is trying to contact them about it, you get the literal runaround, it just keeps telling you to contact the merchant first, then contact them, you select the option to say you e already done that…it then gives you three options #1 back to mail menu
#2 don’t need any further assistance.
#3 hang up!! What the bleep is that, so my options are back to the main menu, have you hang up on me, or I can hang up with no answers at all, just ripped off.

DON’T BUY THIS CARD.

Very disappointed!

I bought a $100 Perfect Gift Visa card as a gift for someone. Because I decided on a different gift for the person I kept the gift card to use some time in the future. Imagine my surprise when I went to use the gift card last week and it only had $55 available on it. I hadn't even taken the card out of the packaging yet. When I called in, I was informed that if there is no activity on the card for 12 months a $3/month fee is charged from that point on. I have never heard of a gift card coming with fees! I have bought other gift cards over the years and have never heard of this! I didn't even think of the need to read the fine print on a gift card, but apparently since I didn't read the fine print on the packaging, this is my fault, and I am now out $45. Interestingly, the $50 Visa gift card that I bought at the same time (which is called a Joker Visa gift card) has no monthly maintenance fee! Why is that?? One card has a fee and the other doesn't...and they're both Visa gift cards. I am not a pleased customer, to say the least!

Do not buy this for loved ones!!

Do not buy this for loved ones!!! BE AWARE!
My husband received a few gift cards and we decided to save it to buy something later noting that the expiry was a few years away. Imagine my shock when I peeled off the sticker to reveal the card number inorder to register the cards (you have to register them to use online), most of them were used!..they had no money left on them at all. When we contacted the company, they said we had to notify them within two months of a fraud claim, I explained that i was just opening the cards now, these were brand new cards, how could anyone get the card number to use it? I am SO disappointed and sad, I was saving and adding to my pile only to discover not one of them work. I've told my friend's and family not to give me or anyone we know the perfectgift cards. I am considering legal action.

This is taking advantage of the customer’s trust, I have purchased 100$ visa card and not using that for some time, I tried to use a card after a while, BEFORE THE EXPIRY DATE, and I noticed there is only 50$ on it, I called customer service and they said although it is not expired, if you do not use it for a certain time you only get 50% of it.

Disgusting abuse of consumer trust!

Disgusting abuse of consumer trust!

Our son received a $40 Visa Perfect Gift card. He spent $25 and then saved the balance. When he went to use the remaining $15, he discovered that it was gone. After one year, Visa started debiting a $3 monthly service fee on a positive balance! Not only is a fee charged at the time of purchase, the company then starts charging a fee for the privilege of holding his funds -- essentially stealing money from a child. They took 37.5% of the value. Not sure how this isn't criminal. Disgusting!

Just want to echo most of the reviews here. Do not buy these cards. I called today to get a replacement card sent as I noticed the expiry on mine had passed. They said they charge a monthly fee after a certain date, unlike other cards, and my card was basically spent. This shouldn’t be legal. These people are crooks
