A whelping box, also known as a birthing box, whelping pen and nesting box is used in order to protect the puppies after the whelping process is completed and during the early stages of life when they are most vulnerable. The whelping box keeps them safely contained away from the cold, most whelping boxes also contain rails or poles around the lower edges of which we get asked all the time what these are for and the short answer is they stop the mother crushing the puppies up against the sides of the box which could cause the puppies to become suffocated as well as being crushed.
At petnap we sell 2 types of nesting boxes, Disposable Cardboard and Reusable Plastic whelping boxes. Both of these boxes will cope with the duration of the whelping process normally around 6 to 8 weeks before they then move on to a more suitable environment like a play pen as they become ever more adventurous. We stock 5 sizes in both types giving you plenty of choice as also have heavy duty plastic versions in our large 2 sizes.

Amazingly you are complaining about the size of the product yet the size is mentioned 3 times in the description and again in the product title as shown below. If the product you purchased was not big enough for your needs, really we would have no doubt in saying that this is your own fault.

Regarding the price it is very competitive for this size we know of several other heat pads of this size that are more money.

Brillant products that last year after year. I have brought off them a long time ago and all the heated cats beds keep there heat. Both my cats love there beds to curl up where it's warm as there getting old now and one has arthritis. Brought some more recently for familys pets.

I have recently bought the Paw Heated Cat Bed from Petnap and am really happy with it (so is the cat!).
I have previously purchased a few outdoor heat pads for our ferral cats, who have their own chalets in the garden. The heatpads we use have armoured electric cables and have been functioning non-stop for nearly 10 years - they’re pretty indestructible!
So, it was a no-brainer to purchase a heated bed to use inside from Petnap.
(TBH I did a quick look at what was available on Am@zon but had concerns about safety issues and since the my other heatpads are still working after so long, and Petnap pricing is very competitive, I decided to buy from them again.)
I would highly recommend Petnap to anyone wanting to purchase heated beds. As I say, they’re extremely robust and safe.
Customer Service has always been helpful, when asking for product advice.
Dispatch and delivery was really quick too.
Happy to recommend Petnap and will most likely purchase from them in future, if I can collect more cats!

They have changed the screws for the poles(piggy rails) why make them smaller and ordinary star screwdriver does not fit. Very poor

The screws provided with our puppy rails have been the same for the past 2+ years and are slightly smaller than our original ones, the reason for the change was based on previous feedback from customers stating the original ones were a bit overkill and hard to fully screw in. I can confirm that the previous ones and the current ones are all standard cross head.
Since the change over 2+ years ago, we haven’t had any problems reported and you are the first.
1 star review just because you favour the old screws is a bit over the top!

What a rude company.
What a rude, horrible company this is. Cat heated bed, tent like bed was not fit for purpose. Contacted sellers and returned item immediately. They tried to say it was covered in cat hair and only issue a proportion of a refund! Seem like a company that is okay to sell and take your money, but dodge any responsibility when there's a problem. Not nice people.
Bought another item from them before they pulled this trick or would not have touched them with a barge pole. Hope they enjoy giving me the full refund Ebay awarded me!

We see you appear to have purchased the item via eBay and opened a refund case against us. eBay did conclude that in actual fact we as the seller had done nothing wrong and decided the case in our favour on the basis that we had provided you with very clear instructions that if the item had been used and was not returned in a new condition we would be unable to issue a full refund, as the item was returned covered in pet hair and urine it was not classed as new condition and should not have been returned at all and therefore a 50% refund was issued, which was extremely generous of us.

Have to say I was blown away by this whelping kit! When it arrived we couldn't believe the quality of the products inside and the range of products. Amazing value for money in my opinion. We have pretty much used all of the kit when our puppies were born so it is such a well thought out selection of everything you need to safely deliver and look after newborn puppies.
