I've been going to the store for many years and when I went in to buy a bag of dog food, I had a cute pun that I had been saving. They refused to let me use it because they said it wasn't the same flavor.
Which it was not stated on the coupon. It had to be the same. Obviously, there's a new manager. I will not be going back to the store after being a customer for over 10 years.

Never received dewormer.

I shopped at the Wilmington Ohio location and placed 2 orders in 1 day and didn't receive my cat dewormer. They said all the orders were sent together and the door dash driver took a picture and the dewormer was in the bag because she could see it in the picture but I still never recieved the dewormer. I am out $30+dollars. I spoke to the manager 2 times the first time I asked was it a paper bag she said it was a green bag the 2nd time she said I said It was a plastic bag but I asked if it was a paper bag so I wanted to make sure I asked that so I replayed my indoor Ring camera and I did ask if was paper. I don't doubt the store sent it out but the fact is I never received it. Another thing is the notification for the dewormer being delivered came hours after the first delivery notification. I won't be shopping there again because I don't want to use Door Dash.

I find their prices a bit out of my budget. But if you shop smart using their sales, you can get quality merchandise at a very good price. My daughter and I are trying to find the healthiest foods for our dogs. I've had 2 of my dogs in the last few years pass due to cancer. I don't ever want to go through that again.

worst customer service ever

worst customer service ever. Don't ever order online with brunswick ohio store. I called the store to make sure they have the item and after I paid for the item online they called me back and told me that it was not in stock...this didn't happen just once but several times. I will never shop there again!

Was sold a sick ferret

We purchased 2 ferrets end of March. They both ended up getting very ill with the coronavirus and 2 other viruses. By the time I got the results for this it was too late for one of them.
I was told when I first got one of them, “he has runny poop so we’re giving him Pedialyte.” Ok…well he was never taken to the vet for any of this. Then it started progressing and they got lethargic and wouldn’t eat. So they went to the vet, got meds and waited for the fecal test. Next day, the one wasn’t getting up and I had to syringe feed him. Ended up taking him to the ER where he stayed overnight. There was still no improvement so we had to let him go. I’ve been in contact with the store. They fought for me, put a ticket in for me- Marshall’s won’t do anything since it’s not genetic and then after 2 weeks corporate said no as well to the store. So I reached out to instagram and they put a request in and I got a call that day from corporate. I told her the situation and she said she’d get back to me a few days later. It’s not going on almost 3 weeks and still no phone call. My number is blocked from calling corporate. It goes straight to a voicemail box that is full and when I put in *67 to block my number, I get the prompts to talk to someone. But yet while you’re on hold for 5 mins they send you to voicemail and promise to call you back. I haven’t got that call yet either. Then when I was on Instagram I noticed I’m not following them anymore. They took me off their following list too. I’ve never had a company attempt this much shadiness. This is really sad. They don’t care about people’s heartache and the care of these animals they sell.

I love this store for our two cats…

I love this store we go to in Mckinney Texas for our two cats needs and our one dogs needs. Their food, baked treats, chews, and supplements are fresh and of good quality. The toys and grooming services are great! Also they even rehome pets needing homes. Our local store rehomes cats in need of new families. They regularly have sales also and we can buy our cats with food allergies to chicken, beef, and tuna more affordable and better quality limited ingredient foods here than anywhere else we've tried and the food we get here doesnt have byproducts of foods they are allergic to hidden in the list of ingredients. And are true to what they advertise. They truly have a love for pets and the atmosphere is lovely. The staff is always kind about bringing my emotional support dog in- he is currently to young to become my certified service dog. He gets his training after he's over 1 year old. We always go in person to shop here so I am not sure how the website experience is.

Website/Corporate Customer Service

My review is about their website and corporate customer service.
I opened the link to a 2 day sale of 20% off.
You can't stop the specials, that pass automatically, so you can't read the add to see dates or discount code, even if you put your finger on it.
Also, I called customer service to complain that everytime I want to place an order. I have to pick a location, even though I have picked the same store for years. Also, the store that comes up, that is wrong, is a location I have never shopped at. The person I talked to was more defensive than helpful.
I'd like to add that the employees at the stores are great!!!

RUDE STAFF

I've been visiting this store for about three months now, bringing my dog in for weekly baths. Unfortunately, my overall experience has been disappointing due to inconsistent service from untrained staff & RUDE management.

A major issue arose when I purchased a Kong Tugger Toy on January 29th, planning to give it to my Scottish Terrier on Valentine's Day. On the very first tug, the toy nearly fell apart. I immediately took it back to the store, expecting a reasonable exchange. Initially, an employee told me to pick out a replacement, but moments later, they informed me that the manager refused to take it back—without even speaking to me directly.

This kind of dismissive attitude, along with a lack of a clear return policy for defective items, is unacceptable. Major retailers like Amazon and Walmart stand behind their products—this store should do the same. Customers shouldn’t have to jump through hoops with the manufacturer when the store is the one selling faulty merchandise.

Between this and the inconsistency in service (I wasn't even told about their rewards program for months), I won't be returning. One star.

NEVER GO HERE IF YOU ARE DISABLED

I was training my service dog on January 29th at 3pm. We were sitting by the register and my girl was on her placement blanket. She only got up 2-3 times which I corrected her and she settled again. The employees were sooo nice and even came to say hi to her, it wasn’t an issue. Then all the sudden the manager, Bev, approached me 30-45 minutes after arriving and said if I can't keep my dog on a leash, I would have to leave that’s their policy. Other people with service dogs were sticking up for me and were disappointed in her behavior. She can legally asked for me to put her on a leash.

This is precisely what happens if I pass out; I may trap her and she cannot do what she needs to do to keep my safe. She’s usually always on a leash and I always have it in my hand but due to just exposure training I couldn’t reach it.

It doesn't matter what your policy is, even if it's a private business; if you serve the public, you have to abide by the ADA. IT IS FEDERAL LAW. your policy isn’t over the federal law. The ADA states the dog has to be on a leash, with the exception of a leash getting in the way of the dog doing tasks for your disability.

When I got to the car, I just sobbed and began to have a panic attack. I called the legal line and they were disgusted by what happened. I had to call them at least 10 different times and persist until they called me back. The district manager stated that it’s their policy that a dog has to be on a leash. However, that applies to any other animal, but this is a service animal. If I pass out, she cannot do her job if a leash is trapped beneath me.

Remind you she’s always on a leash but if I feel weird I drop it. in this instance she was on the ground on her placement mat and I didn’t have the leash in my hand as I couldn’t reach it. SHE WAS STILL ON A LEASH I just didn’t have it in my hand🤦‍♀️

I understand not wanting dogs off leash in a store with people as people can get bit but she is a service animal. She is a working dog for multiple disabilities. While I was in there there was a very kind blind woman with a blind stick, if I had a leash and she walked between us, she could’ve fallen and gotten hurt. another reason why short leads are so much easier and the dog is still leashed.

Clearly, they don't care about the possible lawsuit or the business they may lose. This is utterly disgusting behavior.

In addition to this, the store is extremely dirty and is constantly stained with dog urine on the floor. It smells intensely like parvo diarrhea every single time I'm there. There are dogs lunging and barking every single time. The manager, Bev, never says anything to them, but when my service dog is in there quietly sitting, it's an issue. Never, ever, ever come here if you’re disabled.

I really enjoy this store!

Its nice to have another pet store option besides Petco and Petsmart. They are on the expensive side, and the store closest to me is out of stock of kitty items alot (which are the reasons for 4 stars), but overall I like this store. That being said, there is one further out that is stocked better, but, you basically put your life on the line when driving around here, so I don't venture far if I don't have too, lol.

The staff are usually super sweet younger kids and when I get a pick-up order I always get a cute note attached with an animal pun like, 'have a pawsitively great day' or something similar. Super cute, and I never get that from the other places. When I get coupons I JUMP on them because they are only good for a couple days and they are usually like 30% off.

They have their rewards program and like Vitamin Shoppe, you can complete little tasks (one of them is usually a one question survey; easy peasy!) to earn points, its not just purchases. You even get points for redeeming the points for a coupon, so if you have exactly enough for a $5 reward, you aren't having to start from 0 again!

Go browse, sign up for their newsletter, I think you get a coupon if you do, hopefully you'll like it as much as I do.

I love PSP!

I love PSP! I’ve been shopping at the Royal Oak, MI store for 4 1/2 years and have had nothing but positive experiences. Their rewards program is really great and they’re one of the larger businesses that genuinely take care of their customers.

Worst online retail experience I’ve ever had. Nothing about it worked. Could not change stores and couldn’t check out. Lost an hour of my life I will never get back and my dogs still don’t have what they need.

This is for the Springfield Township Ohio Location

This is for the Springfield Township Ohio location.
We returned a fish we had purchased that had died within the return period. We also supplied a water sample. The girl that takes care of the fish which also told me she was the manager on the phone said our nitrites were too high and refused to refund the $12.00 fish. I told her there were lots of healthy and even baby fish in the tank the sample came from. We returned fish in the past with no problem even without a water sample. The girl stated it was always their policy. I ask for a written copy of the policy which I didn’t receive. I also didn’t see these test results. I wouldn’t recommend buying fish from a place with an arbitrary quarantine that can be enforced at will without any documentation. I called the corporate office and left a message which so far hasn’t been returned. I also talked to someone on their neighbor support line that said she would check into it but so far have not received a reply.

I love Pet Supplies Plus!

We love the Pets Supplies Plus in CA. They deliver on time every time. The only bad thing I can say is they rarely have our brand of Science Diet Weight Control dog food in stock. My dogs weigh 95-100 lbs each and go through a 32 pound bag in just under 2 weeks. So I like to purchase 4 bags at a time. BUT IF THEY DONT HAVE IT, they’ll deliver it asap when they receive a new shipment. They do, however always have the cat food, catnip, treats for all and play toys for everyone. I get a coupon each month for being a free member - so the member savings plus the 20% coupon really adds up!!!

Poor customer service at best …

Poor customer service at best with grooming department at the Marshfield Wisconsin location.

Brought my staffy there a few times. Recently brought her in and she was absolutely terrified to go into the store. What I requested done via grooming website was not done nor was I unformed of this at pick up.

Appointment time is normally an hour or so. The most recent appointment took less than a half hour. The groomer seemed very nervous when I questioned several things. The fact that my dog was terrified and shaking upon arrival lead me to think something happened to her last appointment, but can’t substantiate anything. That and the poor customer service & questionable grooming that was done that day tells me to go back to PetSmart! Don’t recommend!!

Such Outdated Technology

This company has the most outdated technology I have seen. They send a discount to my account and to my email but the clerks have no record of it. I have to print my email and bring it to them. Most of the time it doesn't work. I have a $5 reward on my account that I have no access to because I can't log in to my account. I am done with this place.

Jeremy Shallop is among the WORST…

Jeremy Shallop is among the WORST business owners in Taylor Michigan! His clerk Rianna at Pet Supplies Plus double charged our credit card and we never received our funds back! So we contacted her manager Sam who said it was nothing she do because it was Rianna's fault and then Sam passed the buck onto Jeremy Shallop the owner. In case we called Jeremy Shallop for weeks, he ignored our calls until finally calling our family back three weeks later. When Jeremy Shallop finally called us back he said quote " I do NOT care" unquote. Simply put whoever reads this please do everything in your power to stay away from 22124 Ecorse Road Taylor, Michigan 48180 as the employees there are truly incompetent people, poorly trained and as stated above the owner Jeremy Shallop cares absolutely nothing about paying customers who have been inconvenienced by his deplorable idiotic staff members. If our family could do so we would give his staff and him a negative 0 star rating.
